  1. You can get a glossy clear cost over the top of the matte Plastidip
  2. ^ That is good, not heard it before.
  3. So are you going to share this investment opportunity with the rest of us or what?
  4. Guessing you haven't seen the steering wheel locks being unlocked in under 3 seconds on YouTube?
  5. I thought you don't need high pressure water from a tap, but the pressure washer creates the pressure itself? I don't have to turn my outside tap on by much, once there's enough water in the pressure washer it starts working and the tap is just to keep it topped up constantly. it's not like a hose where it would just dribble out the end as that's just feeding the water from one place to another with no pressurising involved, or I'm just talking rubbish
  6. I don't mean spending money on tyres shouldn't be a big investment, rather that £300 in itself isn't a big investment, but it's not worth the financial risk if they do turn out to be poo.
  7. Best place to buy Plastidip is Plastidip. It's more on eBay than getting it direct. Buy more than you need as well to get the discount and save having to pay shipping again if you need to respray a wheel at some point. I think I bought 6 cans for 4 wheels, 2 badges and 2 door handles. I still have 1 can full and unused.
  8. Just in case you don't know about the new BMW security issues - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... 1&d=0&nmt=
  9. Shock as manufacturer talks up it's new product Of course they're going to say they're a better tyre, until reviews/tests come out in the real world I won't be buying them, it's not the biggest investment but I don't fancy spending £300+ on @*!# rubber. It's not like they're offering a discount for first few buyers, I can wait.
  10. Saw that but 1 review isn't a review and another has done 200 miles, not really conclusive
  11. I was going to order some 452's this week but having seen the 453's are available I thought I'd need to wait for some reviews. The only review I've seen of the 453's wasn't very good.
  12. Never ever worrie about what others think. If you like it buy it. This dam culture of doing or not doing just to appease others is nonsense. I suggest if you feel browbeaten or intimidated you don't put pictures up for approval, as what ever you do it will be wrong. Dangle a pair of fluffy dice from the internal mirror then post the pictures on here. Then have a good laugh at the comments. A couple have done similar things just to invoke a reaction. I of course will be outraged! if you like it, keep it, if you're unsure then you could try Plastidipping it which is about £10 and will give you an idea of it in a darker colour. I'm sure a lot of people don't like a lot of other members cars, it's all personal preference and aslong as your hard earned cash keeps you happy then go for it.
  13. It's much better, and cheaper if you can get a forum member near to the car to have a look for you if they have the time. The RAC/AA will look at general mechanical/structural things but not for 350z specific things. If you have a good read of the buyers guide on here and take a mechanic friend or see if someone on the forum would go along with you for a nose. Buyers Guide - viewtopic.php?f=17&t=23843
  14. if it's come back as Cat D and he's not mentioned it in the advert or when you've spoken to him I'd be walking away. If he's failed to mention something like that what else has he not told you about?
  15. I think when I was looking around at TV deals it seemed decent for what I wanted but the 2 year contract put me off massively, not sure if you can get 12 month one now? Sky have a new broadband called "Sky Fibre", it's 40mb or 80mb unlimited. No download restrictions, no throttling at peak times, perfect if you download a lot. Not sure on BT's usage policy but a few ISPs have started throttling your connection if you download too much or have "unlimited usage" which turns out to be 50GB. Sky's unlimited really is unlimited, I've tested that
  16. Yeah you'd need a respray before applying VS. I've got a new bumper going on so thats the only reason I'm thinking of doing it. Previous bumper had 8 years worth of stone chips on it and it wasn't bad until you got fairly close. I think I'll just respray every 12 months as sods law I'll pay to get VS and then something big will ping up off the road and need a respray and new vinyl
  17. You can wrap it using Ventureshield but that'll cost you £250+. I'm tempted to get mine done but wondering if a respray in a few months/year would suffice depending on the number of chips.
  18. Might try the Permanon and see how I get on with it. Is the Swissvax pre-cleaner advisable for satin/matte?
  19. Plastidip is good for the price but on wheels I'd probably go for a respray as the finish can be a bit patchy coming out of the aerosol can. It depends what the colour of the wheel is, my E65 wheels looked a bit patchy as they were silver with black Plastidip. It doors look awesome on door handles and badges though!
  20. Aerokit.eu do a similar bumper but they also offer fitment guarantee. They're both INGs replica's in case you were wondering. Mad Motors said their returns policy on fitment is if there is at least a 2 inch gap
  21. haha I bet that went down like a lead balloon, predictive texting is dangerous!
  22. A bookshop? Read a lot about bodywork then?
  23. Looks much nicer darker
  24. Is 50ml the smallest size? Best part of £50 is a bit rich for the amount I'm going to want to ever use Have you used Permanon Car Super-Matt before?
  25. Autobulbsdirect do the correct bulbs, just not if you use the car search functionality, utter useless. Won't get the car back until Wednesday afternoon now! They're 7443 and 7440 wedge bulbs.
