  1. So my premium should go down if I have been on the course, as I am now a well informed and reformed driver who is very unlikely to be a danger on the road, much less so than when the same insurance company covered me before when I did speed, right?

Berks HFCs on my Zed along with a Milltek, went through the emmissions no probs.
  3. for parts, might be able to get a better deal - he has both exedy and luk Exedy and luk dual mass are the standard replacement parts...I used the same for mine. You can upgrade to a lighter flywheel and some of the guys on here have - they reported better rev response on the plus side and a bit more gearbox noise on the minus side. Pretty sure someone on here will also comment.
  4. +1 on the Volks, look stunning and rare as hell. ...join the club
  5. Have to say the Zed has caught me out a few times, because of that feeling that you are going slower than you actually are driving home last night, 9pm, M4 westbound, nothing on the road, it takes concentration NOT to speeed!
  6. Worth doing the filing anyway, clean up the connection before you screw it down, just to be safe. Sometimes there is corrosion sometimes not.
  7. ....nearly a week in and all is well I bought grooved discs front and back along with black diamond predator pads. Really beginning to bed in now and an absolute street ahead of what was already on the Zed (not sure what they were, looked very OEM), anyhow after a couple of days of it feeling decidedly unresponsive suddenly they are stopping hard and fast - also enjoying the added benefit of the braided hoses not as much brake dust as I might have thought either which is an unexpected bonus. All well and good so far and a super upgrade to the car - not a case of open wallet surgery either

They are half the price for reason though!
  9. By all accounts though he made it all up!
  10. You just tell her it only cost £400 and then you distract her by presenting her with an expensive handbag and/or shoes That kinda thing brings back memories. Wales May 2010 - CLB detailing are providing detailing goodies to Z members. I see them using Dodo Juice Supernatural on martinmac's car. Stunning wax, I have to purchase. £75 later and a small pot of wax in my hand I re-enter the dinning area - the Mrs says "whats that" - "It's hair gel my darling". "Oh okay" she says..... Win But you are bald?

Ask Z1 Auto on here? They sell 'em.
  12. Something about the US putting through a bill which lets them shut down anything they dont like - in a cynical and short answer.
  13. Bah wash mine every weekend when there is a break in the rain! Obviously not when it is too cold though! Good to shift all the crap off the car regularly!
  14. Looks like I will be out there Saturday giving the Zed a good clean up...and maybe myself as well!
  15. I was going to say, there will be 20+ in a car park in kent next weekend!

Are there any brands that do HFCs for the Zed at £200???? Berks are fine, a bit raspy but being metal substrate it comes by default. You could go for Ultimate Racing ceramics which dont have the rasp but also dont flow as well? They are cheaper.
  17. As long as they are steel they should be fine - its the alloy ones that tend to split. They are cheaper because they have no locking nut on them I presume? Its just x20 standard nuts.
  18. Yeah just at a basic level the numbers dont add up am afraid. To hire the track, you would have to hire the whole thing to run your car around on its own which would be substantial £s on a saturday for instance. I doubt any of the current supercar experience companies that hire the track would share it with a lone 360 with a remit to belt around at 100mph+. The cost alone of the track hire I can't see how can be recovered. Then as the others have said, maintenance of a ragged 360 would be a nightmare and as soon as its off the road you are losing big money by the day. I like the idea, supercar experiences are somewhat of an anti-climax, especially when you end up driving slower than you would in your Zed if you get stuck behind a slow mover for half a lap. Maybe there is better money in it if you buy the track and let people bring their own cars to rag around it
  19. lazy reporting on my part!

    Nissan Idol entry

    Voted good luck pal!
  21. Not quite selling like hot cakes are they...see the price on the new ad http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-350z-/320831230190
  22. Whats annoying is that HKS do screw in ones for other cars Given Goodridge are £200 and HKS something like £70 there is no reason to be using these banjo connections.
  23. EBC had more varied reviews online ranging from good to bad whereas I found mostly good reviews for BD. The only bad review I found was a cracked disc but it was drilled, I have gone for grooved. Also my mate who is a Subaru fanatic said they are popular with scooby owners, given speeds those cars are going at (albeit a bit lighter) sounded like a good alternative. CS sorted me out on matching discs and brakes time will ultimately tell but so far the stopping power even after just a few days compared to the OEM ones I had on before is markedly improved.
  24. Hmmm yeah I guess. Although wouldnt imagine it would be anything more than £5-£10 which you would recover in labour time if a garage were fitting them Worth noting if people are fitting these, you do need to really prep the caliper as most will have degraded to varying degrees. Also, on the front, you need to use P clips to secure the lines out the way of the tyres. As Abbey said, it is a lot to do if fitting for the first time so make sure to give yourself time and plenty of spare brake fluid
