Yes - usual process is to increase the air flow as best as possible ie velocity stack in the airbox, plenum spacer, sports cats, exhaust then apply the remap - if you do the map first you then change anything substantial you need to pay for extra dyno time to tweak it.
Do read the various threads, bear in mind all that will cost you circa £2k and you will probably gain around 15bhp - the remap is more about the drivability of the car than any big power gains.
