  1. Best to put the molegrips on the base as you can twist the shaft and damage the gearing if you do not secure it.
  2. Noooo black requires so much polishing...hang on....
  3. Why do I get the feeling you were just going to buy a 159 all along Ian!
  4. The mentality of people never ceases to amaze I think we should just stick a sticker in the window that says 'Dont be jealous, this car was cheaper than a 3 year old Fiesta"
  5. I have megs plastx plus a buffer pad attached to a drill - works a treat!
  6. Would love an Evora, what a car. I would avoid all the motorway barges as well due to the sheer number and monotony of them - although you could cheat and get an Alpina or something? Or just go for a mental Lotus http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/exige-s2/lotus-exige-scura-2010/2713348
  7. Some flaking of the chrome on the bit near the mono name on the gear knob but otherwise in good condition. It is held on with three grub screws. £23 delivered or £20 collected if you are near me TW10 One side with the flaking Other side in good condition (note this as its not a screw on type can be mounted facing any direction. ...and how it looked on my Skyline when it was fitted
  8. Think it took less than an hour to change the plugs a few years back, and I am a complete numpty with spanners. As Tricky said, absolutely no difference between your £100 iridiums vs copper its just how long one set lasts vs another - I have just put a £12 set of coppers in my Skyline as I do change them frequently enough anyway and very happy.
  9. We're all nasty baaaaaarrrrrssssttteeewwwwaaarrrddsss argh!
  10. Makes for a good reason to work on your flexibility!

    WouId you?

I would bet it ends up looking like a Z4 once they trim it back if it goes for £40k Nothing wrong with turbo engines
  12. Because they put it on and *think* they are racing for olympic gold and PBs on public roads. Even more ridiculous are the ones that shave their legs. Its their choice, doesn't mean it isn't a daft one made for all the wrong reasons. Like I said previously, go live in Europe and see what they wear there and how they cycle....
  13. Lycra is great for pro cyclists going against world best in a velodrome, it serves no purpose on the road. It does not 'absorb moisture' any better than a standard pair of shorts and sports t-shirt despite what all the marketing says to you. Utterly pointless on the road for 99% of users. FACT
  14. Bought not brought - how can such a large proportion of the human race not know the difference
  15. Only problem with this is that you WILL want to buy one, but living with it every day for months on end is a different experience.
  16. I went from 350z to VX220 (effectively an S2 but a few extra bits and pieces) and for driving a couple of times a week it was great. Used it to drive to footy on weds evenings and then blasting around on weekends. In terms of sheer raw driving excitement clearly it blows away the Zed BUT it is clearly not as practical. You are sitting literally inches from the floor, you have to clear a wide sill to get in and out. The boot on my VX could hold 2 small suitcases so wasnt as bad as people say. Height wise I am around the 5'11'' mark and had no problems in terms of head room. On the VX the roof is of the type that rolls off, some of the older S2s I think still have the fishtail style roofs which makes the little cheat of rolling back the roof a bit to get your head in redundant. Stunning cars handling wise and very hard acceleration (0-60 5.5 secs ish) - like I said an awesome raw driving experience, like going out on a track day everytime you drive it down the road. But in terms of using every day, not really.
  17. I had C5UPE on mine - most people thought it was a brand new car
  18. Its not a Zed, looks like Alfa headlights or something... ...what are we doing, cross checking cartoons to see if we spotted a Zed!
  19. The first video has been taken down the second one is inconclusive - cars were passing him by then he jumps out into the middle of the track and gets hit. Stewart may well have swerved and if he did he should be up in court, but they guy should not be stood in the middle of a dirt track waving fingers at cars passing by thats just crazy. Shame for all involved, worst thing is that it was completely avoidable.
  20. And you don't live or work in the area.... Richmond is a car park now, they shut off the road right up the roundabout joining up with Kew - thing is there has been no notice to anyone who hasn't looked for it online, no signs up in advance, nothing. Cars are only finding the closed road when they arrive at the cones and two blokes shaking their heads and pointing back the way they came - it really is quite possibly the worst idea and worst organisation I have seen in some time - I think local business can completely write off any chance of making some money this weekend!
  21. Holy lordy lord, thats some rain!!!!
  22. Try living on the south coast, its chaos every weekend in the summer, has taken me 35 mins to drive 4 miles, everyone wants to go to the beach And if they closed half the roads for the weekend that most people use to get to the beach... Nice little snippet from a weather forecast for tomorrow "Given the unseasonable nature of the weather this could be sufficient to disrupt transport and make outdoor activities dangerous."
