The best quote we could get for my 18 year old son on a 1.0 picanto was £3,500. My son thought this was ridiculous. I told him look at the facts. When he inevitably crashes it into another car with his three mates in it you have three whiplashes in his car @ £2,500 each, the two in the car he hits, another £5,000, Two damaged or written off cars , £5,000 to £15,000. However this is dwarfed by the hire car and claims are us solicitors fees ( @£240 per hour!!!) adding another £10,000 to £15,000. Total claim probably in excess of £35,000. This is fact as I have a friend who is just such a solicitor. I told my son I wouldn't insure him for £50,000 let alone £3,500!!!! " thats still ridiculous, I'm not going to crash" I love him dearly, but.............

Hi, Just after some advice. California987 has a rear spoiler for sale but it has a hairline crack in it. The spoiler is new and unfitted. Having spoken to a local body shop re. repair, painting and fitting they couldn't guarantee repair. my concern is that it might open up again and that would really upset me!! So any words of wisdom based on previous experience??? Please don't gazzump me on spoiler. Asked California987's permission first. Loving the new Zed and this Forum!! Seem to be spending an unhealthy amount of time on it, to the extent that the wife is convinced I'm up to something dodgy!! Thanks in advance.
