  1. Ha! stopped typing to make a brew and Attack Z beat me to it and with pictures....Curse him!!!
  2. Just had a look at mine, 99% sure it's the rubber seal that sits on top of the inner wing where the outer wing bolts on, directly in front of the battery cover and the brake fluid covers. One on each side in line with the strut tops. Held in place by a black plastic trim clip/stud. Hope this helps
  3. George Dredd said Cheers!! I just want to feel loved and needed.............sadly lacking at home The moral is that I need to get my son to show me how to do all this posting pictures stuff. That way, I can put some pictures of the car up too!!! Glad your sorted.
  4. Hi Ricey, watch item 260771933533 isimilar car to yours, two hours to go 21 bids and up to £1,800. I always search for same as I'm selling, click "ending soonest" and "auction only", watch a few and you'll get a good idea of what you'll get for yours. Remember there's 20 bidders at least who will have missed out on this one. Suns out, Summers here, best of luck with sale.
  5. Engine and box £2500 Wheels £2000 Airbags £1500 Interior £1000 Body Panels £1500 lights £500 Suspension £800 Other bits £2000 You MIGHT just break even at £12,500 IMHO
  6. Been advertised by same seller before. Obviously a "story" car. Buy a Cat D damaged 370z for £9,000 pull it a bit straighter and sell it again for £12,000 no warranty no comeback. Nice little earner. Look at his neg feedback for the £8,700 car he mis described, As previous poster said, could cost you £5,000 to repair and end up with a car that's difficult to sell and never going to be right.. So to "temted" poster advice would be to take your £12,500 to a dealer plus a bit of finance and get yourself a proper one!! BEWARE BEWARE.
  7. I'm pretty sure you can powder coat most RAL colours. RAL is a standardized colour chart. It should just be a matter of borrowing a chart or colour chip and comparing it with your wheels. Worth looking into. Just googled " RAL silvers " and looked in images and loads of powder coat stuff comes up and some colour charts!!
  8. That's what I said to do at beginning of post I suppose pictures paint a thousand words!!!
  9. Buy a £500 banger of an estate car or van for the dog and keep the zed!!
  10. Hi chocohercules, have you got the darn thing running yet???? I'm sure I saw some facelift front end bits on E bay recently, have a good search. Good luck.
  11. Keep your eye out on E bay. just in case he tries to sell it.
  12. And someone has actually bid on it!!!!
  13. Welcome Yes they are becoming depressingly cheap! Bored, I typed my reg into We Buy Any Car site and it threw up £6,800!! It's a 55 uk gt with 50k FSH on the clock. Paid a lot more than that only a few months ago.!!!!!! Upside is that I'm loving it and the forum and have no intentions of selling it just yet!!
  14. Only a thought..... There are four visible grey round plastic trim clips that hold the roof lining in along the back where the tailgate is. ( about 15mm in diam. ) What about putting an extra one where the cig burn is and one to match on the drivers side. I know its not ideal but might look like original fitting and its only pence????
  15. Great write up and looks like you both had an amazing time!!
  16. Remember chatting about this at Modified Live. Best of luck with the prototype, will be watching with interest. Might even meet up for a demo?? Did you ever get round to sorting your centre cap? Will you need to remove bumper for the No. plate mod? Only ask cos I'm in process of getting a few quotes for front and rear bumper re spray so thanks for Whittles recommend and will keep you posted.
  17. Just a quick note of warning regarding mycarcheck.com Although it is a good service be aware that it does not tell you if there is any outstanding finance on the car. If this was the case and you bought it, the Finance company would still have an interest in it and could ultimately seek to recover the outstanding amount by repossessing the car. Only a full Hpi check covers this. May sound a bit ott but you have to be careful when parting with that amount of money. Best of luck
  18. Great pics, especially like No. 6
  19. How did a simple request for help with a restraining device descend into this?????? Note. I did post a sensible reply previously.
  20. You should have the VIN if you did a proper Hpi check on the reg. If it was just one of those txt checks it won't tell you if there is outstanding finance, only total loss/stolen. As stated before you need serial no. of last M.o.t or Document ref. number from current V5 to do an online M.O.T history check. hope that helps
  21. Thats what I thought. Posted it up yesterday but no one seemed interested.
  22. What about a no smoking sticker to cover the hole??? O.k not a sensible suggestion
