  1. Got 2 now? Can't keep up with you
  2. Looks great! Love these in yellow! Side stripe works a treat too. Really good work cleaning up the inner arches and such when fitting the coilovers.
  3. Y'know, as soon as I submitted my post I thought about editing to clarify 'pics of the GTR'......but thought no, he won't go there
  4. Theres a massive lack of pictures in here lately
  5. They look great mate. Love the 14A. Very generous mate
  6. This is a safety related mod so it's fine.... Nice looking seats (and car!)
  7. Front plate looks great. Really should get mine sorted soon!
  8. Couldn't agree more! When my engine was being swapped out the clutch and light weight fly wheel were done at the same time. The noise and chatter than some folks complained about was nowhere near as bad as I expected. Then the pick up in the lower gears was just incredible
  9. Without knowing too much about it that lens looks to be a great price! Decent range/zoom, and STM is the newer silent motors tech. It all depends on what you're going to be taking pictures of, and how serious you are. I have the 15-85mm as my every day lens as it's pretty wide open, with good enough zoom for most things. If, like me, you enjoy Motorsport or air show photography then you'll likely want more than 250mm top end as that lens will max out quickly. I currently have a budget 70-300, it's great for the price but could really do with something a tad longer. I wouldn't dismiss buying used equipment as most folks take good care of their gear. However, coming back round full circle. For the price, the lens you linked to is very good value.
  10. I can't help with stock parts but does this mean you'll have lowering springs for sale soon?
  11. Looks great mate! As above, 98 or 99 fuel is best, I run V-power. I read somewhere that o my the US market got genuine Nismo mats but they are not good here as not LHD.
  12. Hey Cray, welcome to Nismo ownership I have a US Spec Nismo front number plate holder here at the office. I know that running smaller plates gets you in trouble with the plod, so I am looking to see how small I can make my plate whilst keeping it legal. I have personal plate but fear it may not be short enough. For badges, I think I replied to your other thread already today. I have 2 'Z' burger badges at home, the Nissan badges are definitely being ditched in the near future. They are going gloss black
  13. Aashen is right for most badges, but I am guessing you are on about the burger badges for your 70 Nismo? These (front and back) are recessed into the bumper so the floss trick didn't work. Annoyingly, as I also need to do this soon. From what I've read online you use a hairdryer or similar to gently heat up the badge and warm the glue. The super gently pry the badge away with something soft/plastic to avoid damaging paint.
  14. Google for 370Z DVD Override. A guy on another forum sells them, I'll be getting one in the future if I plan to install a tablet or similar like you
  15. Thats a nice setup mate I ran a carPC in my old 350z also running dash command and GTR gauges (not in pic). Using a tablet is a good idea as it is an easier install.
  16. Mike, someone makes harness bars that replace the silver strut bar behind the seats. It's just made from a better material to allow harnesses. This then looks stock and you don't have to hack at any plastic trim. I think a saw it on the370.com forum.
  17. Hey Payco. I left the wheels on, but did jack the car up until the wheel started to lift - just to give maximum access. Each wheel arch trim comes in 2 parts - a small piece on the bumper and a larger piece on the wing. Removing the trims is pretty straight forward, but you do need to drill out some rivets which is a tad scary. For each wheel: Remove the 3 screws/poppers from the larger trim in the wheel arch (keep these handy to reinstall once finished) Drill out the 2 rivets holding the smaller arch to the bumper. I think I used about a 3-4mm drill bit to remove the head of the rivet Gently pry the trim away from the bumper (it's stuck on good!!) Next pry away the trim from the wing (also stuck on well) Then spend a lot of time cleaning off all the glue and gunk that gets left behind Pop the screws/poppers back into the arch Sit back and marvel at the sleek clean lines of your lovely car
  18. No telling I remove the badges carefully with a combination of hairdryer, trim removal tool to pry them off, lots of finger nail scraping, and finally some polish. The glue was a real PITA! The centre badges I already have at home. The rear one I am still shopping for via eBay. It will likely be some kind of 'Nismo' badge which I'll get sprayed. The black ones on ebay right now do not look glossy, so will get any old one I like the look of and spray it at the same time as the door handles
  19. That's just the dust boot isn't it to stop crap getting onto the shock? need to keep them I'm going to get the car booked in at Nissan and get these stupid blocks removed, i CBA to jack the car up and faff about removing them. They can do that. Will wait to hear back from WINK on how the inspection goes too. Mine should be fine as its not even done 5k yet. Hopefully handles nicer when they get whipped off.
  20. I initially used a 32GB USB pen. Then used an old iPod which have better control and navigation through the screen. But now I've got the DAB module I have to leave the USB slot free (when using DAB) And now CBA to plug my iPod in reach time I want to listen. Most of the time I listen to Spotify via Bluetooth.
  21. I've always said wheels make the car.....but goodness me they are incredible
  22. Will try and get some soon - I keep setting of the Evo's car alarm when I leave for work Quick update from the weekends activity: Finally got around to removing the rear arches, been meaning to sort that for ages now. Looks so much cleaner!! Next up was to remove the rear badges. The sticky stuff left over once you remove the badge is awful! But got there in the end. This was done in ready-ness for the gloss black centre badges & door handles And finally I found a hidden mod Sunday morning (pic below). The joyous Shipping spacers that the PDI "technician" decided to leave on the car for me. Was said previously in the thread I was lucky enough to have access to the car prior to PDI so I could have it PPF'd and tinted......so I got to see the car right off the transporter complete with all the packing and wrap from the factory. I part of this was a very large warning stuck in the inside of the windscreen telling the dealership to remove the shipping spacers. My technician, and many others it would seem, cannot read. From a quick look I only have one per side, others have had 2 even 3. So either my guy only removed a few off my car, or didn't remove any and the others have simply snapped off during driving. I am not amused by this but from a quick search it shouldn't have had any bad effects to the cars alignment or geo. So I'll just whip them off and forgot about it. I will however tell the other 2 guys that bought Nismo's from the same dealership as me, at the same time. They will no doubt also have them.
  23. Many years ago a friend acquaintance of mine had a 90's MR2 (remember that bit as its important), with I think no insurance/tax, but was stupid enough to still drive it from time to time. He was known to the local bobby's for general car related shenanigans. The story is that he popped into town one day in the car, then returned home, but very soon after the police knocked on his door (they either saw him, or a neighbour phoned who knows). They had some back and fourth as the driver said he hadn't been out in the car for ages and they must have the wrong person. The Policeman replied with "So if I put my hand over the engine it will still be cold"....he proceeded to walk towards the car, but his hand on the obviously cold bonnet and said "Fair enough, it must have been someone else driving a similar car"....then left
  24. Did anyone go anywhere with Nissan after spotting these on their car? Did they offer anything as comp? Also, do you think this would effect the suspension and two setup of the car as the springs wouldn't have chance to bed in a much as the rears etc. If yes then I guess at the least Nissan should be a FOC geo. As you mat have guessed I checked mine today and of course they are still fitted!!
  25. Glad you found one dude looking forward to seeing it. As opposed to the usual 'get a stubby' message that 350 owners get......'get the GTR start button' !! It makes such a satisfying difference
