  1. Have managed 2 stand bags but amazed you got 2 tour bags. Have had to resort to carrying at "away" courses though as 1 trolleybag and a powercaddy needs to involve the passenger seat......unless anyone else has had any success? This should be a cracking competition, 24 of the worlds top 35 apparently! Whilst i think it will be v.close, i think the home crowd and the ability to set the course up to favour some of their bigger hitters will just give them the edge. Nevertheless it always produces some memorable moments and will be great TV
  2. Ouch!! still think 200 euros for a few Rexel staples is going a bit though
  3. Had similar issue whilst under warranty. Took it to the dealers who said i had an "alignment issue" and not covered by warranty. They suggested 1 hours labour at a £silly/hour. Once i had researched and was going to go through the penny trick, check gassing etc. , I noticed that one of the boot release springs was bent. zmanalex supplied a replacement, no issues since. just worth checking, the dealers didn't spot this.
  4. first dibs on filters and pedal please, will pm
  5. Great news, many congrats . A very special time.... enjoy It was very shortly after each of ours was born that i suffered (?) from selective deafness Ones 5, the other ones 2, fully recovered now bizarrely enough
  6. They have done that, a diesel nozzle is larger than a petrol one and doesn't normally fit in a petrol car. Yes but the b*****d petrol can fit in a diesel........which I found out much to my horror. Yep, with you on that one, blew £300 in an hour, put £40 petrol in the wifes Jeep , drove 2 miles, started to notice a "judder" , wife realised what i'd done , £180 quid with the AA to pump petrol out, £20 with AA for some protection additive, £90 diesel to fill up completely to dilute the effects. fortunately no long term damage to engine as we spotted it early.... hopefully one of lifes lessons you only do once! Just relieved it wasn't diesel in the zed Scary seeing the results of 95 RON though, will def only put 97/98 in now
  7. Ferdinand had a split second call to make, think he made the right one once Suarez had rejected Evra. As has been said throughout the thread, much of what happened on Saturday is avoided if Suarez would have done the right thing to start with.
  8. Finally some long overdue apologies from Liverpool. Feel they've only just realised how out of sync with the rest of the football world they've been since the whole episode began. They have had many opportunities to diffuse the situation but Dalgliesh has gone down in eveyones estimations due to his shameful one eyed defence and only when Suarez has become completey indefensible have Liverpool, Suarez and Dalgliesh (albeit no doubt written by their lawyers) put their name to an apology. Some real poor PR on their behalf and it has tarnished many football supportes opinion of club and manager that will live long in the memory
  9. And look at the role of the press in all of those cases mocking, vilifying, ridiculing, and almost wanting those guys to fail so they've got something to write about and have a change. It's an almost impossible road back once those guys credibilty has been shot. Not saying those guys did a great job, but at certain times they got very unfair press treatment. Although a different era, remember the FA chose not to appoint Clough despite wide spread public/press support. HR is the obvious sole candidate almost by default, O'Neill and Pardew have ruled themselves out, FA have Pearce (and the Sun has started on him already)and Southgate in other roles but not sure either is up to it, few top club managers (Wenger, Fergie, Mourinho, etc) would want to give up club for country management. Any other suggestions, Hiddink? Think the FA have ended up in a very high risk position, if HR says no or wants to wait till end of season, or if Spurs say no to full or part time role, we might be thinking Capello wasn't that bad afterall
  10. Wonder if the ability to text and email will be on the job description... that rules out HR (according to his recent evidence)!!, apparently he hasn't even considered the possibility of being England manager.....right, yeah we all believe that Will be interesting though to see if spurs try to stand in his way (if hes interested or offered) or if a part time role is a possibility. I think it would be a dilemma for him given the position he's got Spurs to. Not sure its a dead cert at the moment
  11. Well said, can't stand it when the media/pundits say the FA should have dealt with this by now. They can't because that could prejudice the criminal action. Not sure if removing Terry was outside their remit or not, suspect probably not, but failure to involve Capello meant he felt his position had been undermined and was therefore intenable. Guess they came to a compromise (£1.5 m) poss. to avoid any constructive dismissal action. That said, it was the right decision, guilty or not, it would have been too much of a distraction and focus to have him captain for the euros. It would be like Cameron continuing to employ Coulson (and hes not even been charged) Think it was Chelseas lawyers (as Terrys employers), that applied for delay in court date. Note that the press have already started to crucify any opposition to HR by raking up old stuff about Pearce with a racist twist... see The Sun. If HR does get the job, interesting to see how long his honeymoon with the press lasts, if he doesn't the press will already be sharpening the knives for the new encumbent. A poisoned chalice
  12. We don't have the talent. Let's face it we only have 3 world class players, Rooney whose temper often gets the best of him, Gerrard, injury prone and not the player he was in 2006 and Lampard, well past his best, the rest are fairly ordinary TBH. It's always been this way for England, 2 or 3 class players the rest just making up the numbers and it doesn't really matter to me who the manager is, it won't make England into a team of world beaters. Redknapp who is 65 or so would be a fool to take this job on when he's doing so well at club level. Pete much as he is an other poor character, i would say that Ashley Cole is world class and Joe Hart is nearly there. Can't see how any manger can take both Terry and Ferdinand though
  13. think theyre about £37-40 quid each plus postage. Your local nisssan dealer can source for a very similar figure and you may save postage, but they are unlikely to have them in stock, support your forum traders where poss.
  14. Bloody hell, cheaper than the spring, thyre £40 plus with postage.....each!!!!!
  15. Mine pops fine, but it's not 12 months old yet. So if you remember to ask in 5 or 6 years I'll let you know. thanks for putting my mind to rest Couldn' believe it needed 2 hands to open, can go back on my "what car next "list now. Should have known better than to trust what the Nissan service manager told me
  16. Agreed about the liar, viz admission in trial to Rob Beasley. The press play a huge role in this, have been on a Capello out agenda since before last world cup and I don't think they have properly questioned the FA's role in the stripping of Terrys captaincy without involving Capello (can you imagine that at at any premier league club), even though i agree with the outcome, the manager HAS to have some input, so therefore a little sympathy for Capello tempered by the £24m he's picked up over the last few years! The press love HR, like they loved Venables (same street wise londoners), but remember how they turned on Hoddle once "the karma" issue gave them an excuse to get stuck into him, and how vitrioloic they became to Sven and Capello ( i know we didn't win anything but with likes of Wiltshere, Jones, Young, kyle Walker etc Capello had started a transition). I suspect a few things still in Rednapps closet to come out, but it doesn't suit them at the moment like they glossed over Venables buisness dealings and his surrendering all directorships for a few years to avoid director disqualification proceedings. got the feeling they protect certain characters almost as one of them. V. interesting turn of events all started by Terrys alleged comments. I think the FA made the right decision to strip him of captaincy, but went about it the wrong way. New start , hopefully England will move on without the ego and over hype of Terry the player (best years behind him), Jones, Smalling Jagielka and Cahill all capable of filling his boots
  17. Also check that one of the release springs isn't bent (Black thing halfway up each side on the lid). this happened to mine, dealer suggested the bootlid had "alignment issues", £50-80 to adjust, i baulked at that, thought i would try the coin trick but then noticed one of the springs was bent. Got replacement from Dealer also said that the 370's do this by design, not sure if a 370 owner can enlighten but enough of a pain in the butt to be a potential dealbreaker when considering poss. upgrade

    Nissan Idol entry

Done, good luck with the comp. the guy with the 200sx has got 0%! Can't even be bothered to vote for himself
  19. And why always "spotted at Asda Queensferry?" Have they got a zed aisle?
  20. 39 posts and no reference to "my clunky second Gear" and one for Coldel "anyone seen this on ebay?" Keep 'em coming, got a boring afternoon in the office
  21. For what its worth, this month CAP suggests a retail differential of between £550 and £700 on GT v non GT (£450 -550 at trade values), depending on year, mileage and plate. Out of interest the 4 values for an 03 53 GT with 100k are 3850 (Trade below av)., 4325(av), 4750 (clean) and £6750 retail. Not sure how that compares to Parkers?
  22. Assume this not being purchased through a dealer? You should be able to get finance co. details and agreement no. from the hpi check but finance co. probably won't talk to you as you are not the customer. customer needs to get settlement fig. to establish if there is equity and confirm which vehicle has been financed. I would wish to pay off the finance co. myself rather than hope the vendor did! I would tread carefully as this sort of history may put off future buyers when you come to sell even if everything has a satisfactorary answer.
  23. Some tickets to the British open next summer apparently (mrs. D. should learn how to delete history on the laptop! ) Lacking inspiration for her, not sure if she would appreciate a DA polisher though?
  24. My dealer experience has been a bit mixed. negotiated a price i was happy with, wheels refurbed to a reasonable standard, 2 new front tyres (re050a's) and serviced(?) before delivery. Has had 2 window regs. replaced under warranty without quibble and courtesy cars provided. on the downside, tailgate not opening properly...dealer said it was "alignment issue", not covered and £50 estimate for technician to fix. Thought i could do it myself for less and turned out to be a bent release spring, sourced from Alex aand at least saved dealers labour charge for trying the "wrong " fix. Also disappointed that at its first service the new Bridgestones were advised to be changed together with the rears after just 8000 miles due to uneven wear. Estimate for 4 new tyres and alignment £1100 my local fitters said still a bit of life in fronts, 2 452's for rear, full laser wheel alignment and a bit of change out of £300. don't think they did wheel alignment at service pre delivery hence dreadful wear in hindsight, the dealer warranty counted for nothing as the vehicle was still under manufacturer warranty
