Looks good! Liking the '599 GTO' alloys
-
Gonna skip all the rest and just insert my comment lol My friend bought a Range Rover Sport around the same time I bought my Zed, 2009 I think, 100K+ on it, no issues as of yet I don't think. And from being in it (with the 22inch alloys) you cannot believe how smooth it is for something with wheels like it! Engine runs as if its new, so they can last. Had someone at work buy one and it was full of electrical faults after having it for a while... could be just your luck whichever car you choose really.

Unless your having major clutch issues wouldn't worry about it. You get used to it being a bit clunky from cold. Just watch as you go into 2nd, don't catch that gear at the wrong time lol I wondered about this at first too when I picked mine up. And the flywheel makes a clattery noise sometimes if your quick off the clutch (i think thats the flywheel anyway...correct me if im wrong). If it feels ok once you've been driving a while I wouldn't worry.

Really up to yourself, especially with low miles, but definatley change the oil at least. In terms of it being worth it... dunno enough about mechanics. My friend whos a truck mechanic for Scania keeps telling me to leave it and only service a car after big miles. His Celica TSport 2004 is immaculate and he never services it, everythings done himself ...when it needs it...eg...something breaks lol Hes pretty damn good too, but I'd rather have the stamps of somewhere decent (for resale or trade in value) and keep it as good as possible for as long as possible! (as said earlier, mines is indeed a last of the line I think. 58 but 2009 registered?).

I actually don't mind the kit, looks good, wouldn't pick chrome myself...but...the main issue is ...chrome car...white alloys.... If it were normal silver etc would have been just fine lol
-
Where about was the grey one on the M8? I was out yesterday. Was it a 313?
-
Thank you Dave! lol Some of us are not demented on having the 'perfect' everything lol. As long as it keeps me out a ditch, grips stops and gos ok its good for me. Plus as said a lot of people have used them and I know there dead so ill give the 453's a go when needed. I don't spare my tyres an easy time...put it that way and the Falkens have done it good. Anyway that'll do from me before I get shot down again...
-
Aw fine then lol... they wanted budgetish decent tyres. They'll still do you fine unless your keen to exploit the laws of physics to the very ..very fullest. Mines certainly get used and have never cause an issue with grip, stopping etc even in the cold. Shoot me down why don't ya..... lol
-
Good stuff ...parking sideways...lol Almost as good as those people who take two spaces up in carparks even if there facing the right direction! PS. You would prob get out that fine, just a bit of forward back forward back forward ba............ lol
-
Don't listen to Ekona...452s are fine lol But I did forget to mention those prices are for 453's...I'll be putting a set on once the 452's are done. Hoping there a bit better, I'll be happy if they are the same
-
Falken 452/453's... the 452s ive got on just now have got enough grip, are fine at speed and braking is fairly good aswell. (take it from me at speed at 0C... they do the job just fine...as do the Brembos lol).If its greasy sometimes the back feels skitish in the very slightest way, but not when its raining strangley. If you don't buy them off a website and just get them ordered your looking around £150 fitted for rears, £10ish cheaper for the fronts. But depends on the garage, could be slightly cheaper.
-
Thats assuming you could get into such a modification You'll have to have something missing... your legs for example lol
-
Haven't looked at the previous posts so I'm gonna go with middle Megane, last Punto...1st one though...a dunno some sort os Skoda estate? Subaru estate?
-
That rear is terrible... lol
-
Z's were not meant to have rear passengers..... as said before the ebay attempt should put anyone off...
-
Do they??... I'm not exactly a track day know it all but I do remember the pedals (aswell as being small) being rather weirdly placed in height - specifically the clutch you had to lift your foot a good bit up to put your foot on it, bit akward for track use I would have thought. (this was last year odds so im going from vague memory lol)

This is great to hear! I was gonna do mine in January but since it was done (although a P1) by Lotus in Oct (3 months early) I'm just gonna leave it til nearer a year from then, but ill prob hit my 27K before it lol P3 will be getting done. I've spoke to David (think it was him) previously and he was very helpful and honest. I'll def be booking in when its time! (and any special work if needed!) Seems like nothing but praise for Infiniti Glasgow, glad we have somewhere like that as I don't really wanna trust the usuals I used to go to with my old car lol

Its bad up here too, had to get the train for the first time this winter! (THE HORROR!).... but it was mainly my fault for parking too close to a garage and it slide 2inches of it... so train it was lol. And now its snowin' heavy again...thank god its the weekend and I don't have to go anywhere! Why is it snowing..its coming to the end of MArch soon!!

How do they do the Zed? I thought I read on here it can't go on rollers due to the LSD? (also while im at it is it true the Z has an actual carbon fibre bit in it..the driveshaft..or something..did I just read that somwhere wrong? lol)
-
Yeah I agree there badges do seem to get a bit 'IN YOUR FACE'... lol Also why are things getting fatter. I know we have safety, but surely everything doesn't need to follow the same route. Remember when an Astra was a medium sized hatch?.... Have you seen the new Astra, Megane lol. One of the only ones I can think of that hasn't had a 'fat' intake is the new Focus (mind you im not its styles biggest fan..but you get the point). Even driving down the motorway this morning... a scirroco...its sleak ..from some angles then from others you realise its quite tall and fatty lookin Anyone else get what am on about? lol
-
Cars are gettin' a bit better lookin and less 'cheap' looking especially with little hatchbacks. I saw a red brand new Clio today...they look fantastic!
-
Would LOVE some sort of button to stop them. Found out the hard way by putting too much antifreeze in and it sprays the whole front in white dots...awesome Eventually ran it out shove nothing but water in ... i can live with them not working until unforzen lol
-
LEt me just clear my throat *ahem*....hand you your glasses and say...That looks nothing like the Zed... The rear lights might be the same rough shape..thats it, side profile, nor the front looks like a zed lol. I think they 'almost' got it. The backs nice, double bubble roof, the twin exhausts on one side only didn't help (think they may have fixed that with newer ones...cant mind), the sides ok but the profiles ruined by the high front end. Surely... they could have made the front less.. gaping. When I first saw it I thought it would have a swoopy nose but its just a tall ...308.. lol I know you need a longer bonnet to lower it but still... could do better. (I have seen the new one and its still not that nice). Insides is nice, love the seats (looked at them before the Z) but the pedals are still from a tiny hatchback... small. I'd have one if they sorted the pedals, made it faster, and sorted the front. Peugeot have done well with it though i won't deny that, we need more adventurous stuff like this from other car makers as affordable 'sports' cars are not in abundance.
