Oooooh.....now were getting into the nitty gritty It works both ways though... you could have an SL and go... those 350's are as quick as my car and cost a heap less and still have a fair bit of kit.... you may not like it but its still comparing... lol As I said as a car owner whos into cars.... its fun, whichever way your comparing. So saying you can't compare or its not in the same league for the topic (performance..) is rubbish. The Zed for my choice of topic to compare... is right up there with some of the more expensive stuff. Saying its not and using other stuff thats not relevant to WHY I'm comparing it has a hint of...snobbery about it (PS ive noticed ..to my mind anyway.. Mercs are getting challengingly ugly these days and BMW are coming back with some decent looks...hmm)

Oooft, wee rift there... its a car and it can be compared to any other, but obviously makes more sense if some part of it is in the same ball park. SL350 similar performance, so IF....IF you so wanted to you could say your gettin better value performance wise cos the thing only cost £30K new, you might have paid £15K but the merc (the NEW SL...) starts around £70K, so its 'nice' to know you don't have to think your cars not in the same league...it is. And who cares about the leather quality and the useless gizmos it has (ive been in a few SL's and the stuff you just don't really need....no wonder its costly) because the Z's a sporty performance car and so is (just..) the SL. When your comparing 'sporty like' cars for the sake of it it doesn't matter what one it is as long as its built roughly around the same principle (coupe/roadster, fast, sleek looking, sporty in some way or other). Remember you LIKE cars so comparisons like that or when you realise (wow...my cars as quick as...) ...its FUN, amusing, nice to think about. Lets not become too technical about...OOOOH its a merc that has superior suspension or leather or....Active lane keeping assist ...jeez... Plus ive just looked out of curiousty at Mercs Stats (yes I know there only stats...blah blah)...the SL350....is actually slower than the Zed. Have...fun... compare...take the micky out of other cars... **And....on a lighter note for the Zed, was sitting at a petrol station today, big fancy Audi, wheels, tints the lot... Small kid in his parents car as they filled up....eyes ALL OVER THE ZED, even why I left you could see those eyes following it out, not with a smile but a kind of amazed look.... reminded me of when I was young. You ever see this (and its not a wee d*ck of a ned lol) you make sure they get a good look and hear your car. They love it, I love it, I hope most people that join a car club like this loved it...and still do! ** ...Think the kid cared what the quality was like.... I doubt so....

You might be right, I keep forgetting for the money, Nissan were offering a lot of power and a lot of performance. Go to Merc for a 313's pace and it can cost you up to £70K.... (ill never get tired of using this example )

Looks the stuff. Oh and out of curiousity....the insurance for my Zed this year £1060... insurance for a new £25K GT86... £580 (My Coupe was like 800+!)..next quote up was £770.lol not bad. Well the first one is anyway. Hopefully be in the £8-900's for the Z next Nov lol

I've noticed mine can go up if I'm driving carefully... I understand the DTE reading but the dial going UP... is my Zed making its own fuel?

When I first got mine I dropped a jet spray cable down the front bumper but you don't see it. Only time you see it is, as you say, under street light etc. Plus its got the usual swirls etc. When were into a good bit of weather at the end of March or something gonna give it a good polish etc try and hide and get rid of some of them lol The paints terrible wouldn't worry, only you will really see them unless its a big scratch etc.

Don't kid yourself lol During the weekend I was off work on Friday, for various things, shopping, runs, out with friends etc, in the last 3 days I've spent around £100 in fuel, maybe a bit more...although I have been 'using' my car... lol Now I'm back at work its...make the quarter left on the dial last til the end of the week. I'll try...damn hard

Since I got my 350.... all I see is bloody 370's! Most of the drivers generally being cocky ...ahems...lol (beside Chan...maybe and the black roadster I met on the M8 ) Hardly see 350's! Used to see them when I wanted one, now I've got mine they've all dissapeared lol. PS... Tax threads should be banned ...nothings ever resolved...

You ain't half right there... my friend had a 2007 3 series when it was new and it plagued him with warning lights for ages...later on in life locked him out the car, in the car...lol BMW from my experience with recent cars...arn't good with electrics. Too much, too complicated means too much to sort and to sort means ££££'s lol The thought of buying something like a second hand S-Class or something with lots of gadgets scares the hell out of me, imagine it all going wrong! Ohhh dear..... had the first sighting of a GT86 in white, go past me as I was sitting at the lights this afternoon as I was coming home from work... I remember thinking...looks actually... not bad in 'person' lol

Shoulder blocked a pensioner when me n' my mate were horrifically drunk (younger days of course)... the pensioner got up first... lol

I had a look at them before the Zed too, appealing, big GT, luxury barge, but then you look at it (more so from the rear 3/4) and then go...no I couldn't drive something that ugly. Its got presence! I'll give you that but, I don't give them a second glance lol
