  1. When i changed mine for a Nismo one i struggled! I used an old rad pipe i had in the garage to wrap around the existing knob as not to damage it and the same around the stick itself. I used mole grips on the stick and some waterpump pliers around the knob. It took me ages to get started but once the thread had started to twist off it could be done by hand. Its the cracking of the thread that it sounds like you are struggling with. Give it some welly son! Well worth it looks ace now!
  2. Nice job graham, looking forward to seeing it in the flesh soon. Colour coding under the bonnet is the way forward!
  3. Before i go to the stealers????
  4. Nice ................... Wish i had some graffiti down this way! Looks sooooooooooooooo good against the Zed.
  5. They look concave too??? Far left and Right are the rears and are concave, 2 in the centre are the fronts? ZMAN to the rescue
  6. Glad to be of assistance.
  7. they look like the gtr rota rim, like you said havnt seen nismos like that before Post 89. Dont look any different, had to do a search to see if there was a difference. Maybe its cos the rears take 275 tyres?? http://my350z.com/forum/media-share/276 ... mo-18.html
  8. Good call, i would say its been parked under a tree. Augo Glym intensive tar remover should get it off Give it a polish and wax after.
  9. Do you know i hadnt noticed they were any different to other Nismo's I bought the rims off our own resident MBS, top bloke! Wheels are 18's yes and are looking 100% after the Bilberry and Rimwax.
  10. Sounds like a plan! can discuss at Wales or the pre meet Gonna be busy boys.....
  11. Indeed will, i have around 10 chips that i had not recently seen . Its also got some paint defects to the rear bumper, like bubbling paint that the bubble has popped off the top. Overall though the car does look pretty great and its a shame the pictures dont do it justice. Im gonna try to get some replective shots at some point. . Honest to say that i have never felt paint sooooooooooooooooooooooo smooth. If you fancy bringing that bad boy polisher down you are more than welcome . I still have the interior to do and also some detailing under the bonnet that i have made a start too. The thing is i did it all by hand and although my arms feel like they are about to fall off, its got me hooked and cant wait to do the ST. Does that make me a little mad??
  12. I was going to get some photos of the entire job but my camera lense decided to fail, i completely forgot about my iphone camera as i was so busy! Firstly at 7.30am i used my new pressure washer with my snowfoam. Once the dirt had dripped off the car i got to grips with my Dodo Claybar and born slippy, honestly i was amazed at what came off as she looked pretty clean in the first place. Then i got my lime prime and a microfibre pad out and gave the entire car a good going over than microfibred it off. I decided in the end to go with Supagard polish which went on and buffed off to leave the most amazing shine. Finally i used Dodo rainforest Rub wax and its amazing, easy to apply and remove residue to leave a deep shine to be proud of! Then on to the wheels which was quite an ordeal..... Firstly removal of one wheel at a time, Bilberry cleaned followed by rimwax. Whilst i was waiting for the wax to cure i got to grips with the brake cleaner and the polishing of the Brembo calipers. And to complete the car i used a trade strength glass cleaner to all the glass then RainX'd the outside of the glass and rainX anti fog'd the insides. I peek metal polished my tail pipes too, look great seing as they were black before i started. As my mate helped me out today i offered to do the same to his MR2 Turbo, in black. I tell you all something a 19yr old car came out with these products looking virtually brand new. Will get piccys of that tomorrow. I Would reccomend these products to anyone and the scents coming from my car is The only thing i didnt get a chance to do was to hoover her out and gliptone the seats 2 cars completed externally by 6.30pm And just to top it off im going to start to do the Focus in the morning, 'thats if my arms have gone down' as i look like arnie at present. Also incredibly sunburned as it was 27' here today. A few pics from my iphone, not great but i have to send my camera off for repair Will get some more piccys up at locations later in the weekend.
  13. Focus st owners club are meeting there too. I will not be there but i think there is around 10 of them going.
  14. Good luck at that price fella imo. I sold a pretty mint set with RE050's with 7mm tread on all tyres for £600 and that took a good few weeks. Also recently i saw a set sold on here in reasonably good nick for £450
  15. Thanks for the ideas fella's. I bit the bullet and got a few bits. I have a new pressure washer 'one of em £45 ones' . Tim has sent me out some SnowFoam and an attachment for it which should be here tomorrow, thanks Tim. Appologies for not giving you the whole order Next time i will defo come to you for the order I have some Bilberry wheel cleaner and rimwax for the wheels. I have some DODO Supernatural shampoo. I have a claybar and some born slippy. I also got some Dodo Limeprime. Then on top of that i got me some Dodo Rainforest Rub for the Zed and some Orange Crush for the EO ST3. I then though whilst im at it i would get me some peek Metal polish and some wire wool for the exhaust. And then i got me some Glass polish and some tyre Smartgel. And finally i got thrown in 4 Microfibre Cloths, 4 applicator pads, a Lambswool Washmitt, a wheel brush and to end i got me a swissvax washing pad! So im gonna be a busy boy this weekend! Wish me Luck as im gonna do all polishing by hand as i dont have a polisher yet My intention is to do the Zed on saturday and the ST3 on Sunday then have Monday off to post a few piccys of the Huge task!

  19. Im looking to give my baby a treat as my plans have had to be put on hold for now .So im gonna give her a good claying, polish and wax next weekend! Ive been looking at DODO products for some time now but i havent bit the bullet yet........ So im looking for some makeup for my 3rd favourite girl in the world. 'had to say that as wifey and daughter are in the room with me'. So advice is muchly needed I have been a SRP and EGP fan for some years after my MER days, so am i going in the right direction for DODO or is there something else a little special someone is hiding away? I know that we all take pride in our babies so am looking forward to some valuble advice and also maybe a pointer in the right direction as to where to get the best prices. Many thanks in advance, Iain
