    Focus ST

Comparatively to the zed is it expensive to run.....I'm kind of banking on the published mpg figs which are 30 on a combined cycle. For a pre 07 its i think £200 ish to tax 12 months, fully modded insurance costs me about £700 fully comp protected NCB. And if you drive the car the way it was supposed to be driven you can still get on average 30+mpg and mine is modded over 100BHP from standard! My research tells me its fairly reliable but are there any zed clicky axle/clunky droplinky type 'every ST will suffer from at some point' jobs. To be honest there doesent seem to be many issues with the standard car, I have had none yet apart from a split CV boot last week, not bad in 10 months and modded too. Once modded there is a chance of Liners cracking but there is things you can do to help this not happen. Generally due to bad mapping! Clutch slip in the higher gears is a problem but for £800 notes gets you an RS clutch supplied and fitted. There is a few bits like boost solenoid and maf sensor going faulty etc but are pretty cheap to sort out. Sat nav/leather worth seeking out or is ST2 good enough. Mine is an ST3 full leather, Xenons etc no nav, but i have aftermarket anyway. ST3 = 4 leather seater, ST and ST2 5 cloth seater Did it make you do a sex wee when you drove it. Hell Yeah, you should have seen me after Jamsport remap last weekend. Oh and its sooooooooooooooooooooooo cheap and easy to Mod to good power
  2. Since there is a few peeps interested in the ST I thought id update. Went to Jamsport MK last weekend and had a few bits done, ish....... Uprated oil cooler, RS Injectors, Mountune Catback exhaust, denso plugs and a few tweaks....... And a savage remap!!! Since then I have had a Forge Actuator fitted and a forge recirc valve and am feeling a huge difference, Will get on RR soon but hoping for 325+BHP and 450+lb/ft and she is still very drivable. Wifey drives the car normally.... sensibly..... Well almost, you know what i mean. I know she loves the curbs though!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  5. I have had both and still have the ST How she looks now. Mine is running 309BHP with 425lb/ft, Although its more now as i have fitted a forge actuator with yellow spring and a forge recirculation valve, so prob close to 330BHP with 460lb/ft. Its a rapid machine, but with being 2wd it does struggle a little off the line but when you are going its amazing what you can leave for dead. Very cheap to mod, gone from 225BHP to 309BHP for under 2k, which would cost you about 12k in the Z to get 80BHP, I miss my 350 dearly but the modded ST is a more than capable of the same thrills. Next mod is an uprated Clutch, LSD and then I will be able to put the power down. Will be looking for some Brembos at some point too. When i win the lottery!
  6. Dan Wheldon killed in the indy 300 16/10/11 One of the greatest drivers exported from the uk. Rip and prayers go out to your family
  7. Update if anyone is interested, spent the day in the bodyshop on saturday and this is how she looks now.....
  8. Im going with the FOCUSSTOWNERSCLUB on the stand with my ASBO. Looking forward to it. Ford Fair last weekend was pretty good so looking for some repeat action, possibly track too if the car is ready in time. We will see..............
  9. All good fella, glad my baby has gone to someone that will look after her. We are missing her a lot more than we expected as at present my second vehicle is a TRANSIT VAN, not quite the same! Im supprised that there has been no 'wanted posts' from you, eg engine upgrades, bodykits etc. Im sure there will be in time! Wait till you meet my comrades at Brands for the BTCC, they will point you in the right direction. The focus made its 1st appearance at Ford Fair last weekend and got some attention, which made us feel good about what we have done to her. Gonna do some engine bling and colour coding under the bonnet next weekend and a few other plans like wraping the roof bottom lip and wing mirrors in satin black and colour coding the headlights before the stand at TRAX next month. Busy, busy, busy. Im looking forward to seeing her again soon and good luck with her.
  10. If it was he will be made up to have been SPOTTED. I can speak from experience Will's car last weekend looked stunning!

  14. Quality pics fella, Bad times for a few of us at the moment.
  15. D Day has arrived! Today is the day my beloved 350 goes to her new home in Pompey. So as you can imagine I spent the weekend making her look her best ready for the drive along the coast this evening. Oil Change, check, New cubby, check, as the old one had scratches (thanks SpursMadDave) and a final wash and wax followed by a Leasurly drive to a beauty spot at Birling Gap, near Beachy Head for some final photos With the ST3. A sad day indeed, i have enjoyed every aspect of my car from the day i collected her! Cleaning has been a pleasure and this club has increased the love for the 350 down to the great guys i have met here. So with great sadness this will be my last post as a 350zr owner. I have never felt this way about selling a car and my wife feels the same. So cheers to the guys and girls on here that have become friends and for the privelidge of being a 350ZR owner. So without further ado, here are the final images.......
  16. HAHA..... Il take the walbro 255 pump lol
  17. Well the day is almost here, Im emmotional already! Saturday is D Day. I know she going to a good home but not mine. A chap called Paul from down pompey way is gonna be the new proud owner of the Beast! I will post as SOLD when she has left my possesion, never felt this way over a car. One day i will hopefully be back in the fold!
  18. He is Gas Safe, and registered the warranty for me. yep thats a bargain mate, the only thing is if your not a gas engineer or registered installer company the warranty doesnt stand (for homers etc) the frozen condensate pipe is a normal issue these days with extremely cold winters
  19. I have a 3 bed 1 bath house and i have The Worcester Bosch 28i Junior 5 year gauruntee. I paid £750 inc a fernox filter, digistat and 6 rads inc TRV's, so there is some good deals to be done. Also I had 2 Mates over that started at 8am, new gas feed, new pipes and relocated into my loft and they charged me £350 inc the copper, finished by 6pm. So all in i paid £1100 and the boiler is spot on! Had a frozen overflow pipe which we got sorted within 20 mins but that was the only issue.
  20. Id be up for this if we can arrange a meet??? Sorry Ian, as i said it was very last minute but if you are up for a bit of full contact motorsport BTCC @ Brands??? October1-2 http://ticket.motorsportvision.co.uk/ca ... cc-bh.aspx
  21. Well, Was a sad day indeed, the last time i will drive my Beast before she goes to her new home in Pompey! What a day, apart from ending up looking like a red panda, props to Will and Brands for some quality entertainment! I have been a proud owner for 10 months and have enjoyed nearly every moment of my membership of this fine Establishment. And a very enjoyable end to my ownership! Was a last minute thing literally at 7.30am to go to Brands and a good decision at that, Will is a top chap and sadly i will still keep in touch with himself and a few of the other guys i have met through here. Sorry for that, lol Our day startes with a bacon bap and some entertaining racing of some Lotus's. Not nice to say but i was glad to see in the first race there was a few cars that under pressure made slight mistakes and ended up in the gravel. Then came the F3 cars which are pretty damn quick concidering. After that the GT cars, awesome!!! Highlight of my day, that Merc SLS is pure porn to the ears! Rapid ferarri's and a few quick GT3's then the F2 cars which are pretty special and grip only we wish we could have in a road car. Well done the Brit who came in 2nd only podium for the Brits today. A trip to the open pit lanes for some piccys and some carnage in the crazy MR2 racing. Including a roller that Red flagged the race. Totally enjoyed my day! and i made it home without hearing the outcome to the F1 GP. Cheers Will and look forward to the next social!! By the way Paul she didnt break the speed limit and was not abused in any way shape or form, apart from by my camera! ~Had to get some piccys lol Anyhow here is a few piccys i took. Enjoy........ Maybe someone could add one of them huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge spoilers to a 350??? Didnt take a piccy but the Reg of the Day went to a GT40 with V#=+ WMD 'Weapon of Mass Destruction'. Brilliant!
  22. If it was my wifey it would be She replied 'Its cos your watching me'......
  23. Very Nice. Wish my wife saved money for a new 370 for me, all she saves is the NEXT bills for me to pay!
