  1. Think I might risk a bottle. It's £20 a bottle... but that is how much cheaper the fill up was with regular anyway. Damn, Damn, Damn ....
  2. Cheers peeps... Seen this: http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... e=shopping I'd prefer to stick some in AND take it easy... if it is really going to help out. AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Fecking panic buying *******!!!!
  3. Oh FFS!!! .... You mean this one? viewtopic.php?f=17&t=58599 Can I do anything about it? Needed to do a pretty long distance, then the trip was cancelled. So my car is now brimmed with 95. Is there some sort of Octane booster I can buy from Hellfrauds? (Always presumed that stuff didn't do anything) Bugger, Bugger, Bugger, Bugger, Bugger.......
  4. I have ALWAYS filled the Zed with Tesco 102, V-Power or BP Ultimate Due to fecking MUPPETS ... and driving to FOUR different stations yesterday... I couldn't find any high octane fuel anywhere. So I ended up filling with normal Shell, as that is all I could get hold of. I am SURE it is just paranoia. But the car seems a little less responsive... but mostly it seems to be ticking over slightly rougher... All this is in my head isn't it?
  5. HA HA ... no worries about clogging up the thread. Good to see a fellow camper. The van isn't as quick as the Zed, obviously BUT ... just had it remapped to 160bhp, and the torque is fantastic, so it pulls like a train! Went to DubFreeze in Stafford this weekend and it looks like we are going with T4Life for the interior. Plus I am now starting to think about the stereo system ... LOTS to do.
  6. In a word.... No But there are LOADS more bits and bobs now to do it... I am sure a quick searchy on google will sort you out
  7. The body kit ISN'T the worst thing about the car... eeewwwww automatic...
  8. Can you not get your MOT station to drive the car to their place for you? Most of them have trade plates and if you are paying for an MOT at their place, they are usually OK doing this....
  9. ehhheeem... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldne ... l-ban.html
  10. Totally agree... if you arethe kind of peron who is going to need to "check" to see if you are over the limit or not, in order to drive, you shouldn't be driving!!! Drink + Driving = Muppet!
  11. Welcome! Super congrats on passing your test at the age you did. Apparently it is a LOT harder the older you get. Even the difference between 20 and 30 is a big difference apparently. Plus, living in London you don't "need" to drive.... But look at what you have achieved... a Zed. Congrats...
  12. Dear GOD... I think im going ot be sick...
  13. Could be a re-post... But you now (will soon) have to carry a breathaliser in your car too... http://www.thelocal.fr/1920/20111201/
  14. Ouch ... ABS fail then? Sorry bud. Glad everyone was OK.
  15. Found it, topped up. Fantastic advise as always. Cheers Al... Thanks Ian, top job as always.
  16. Cheers Al. Will sift though them now..
  17. Just checked it now it is cold... it is on "Min Cold" So I guess I should top it up to between Min cold and Max cold. Alex, which bottle should I use? I have a load of Nissan Grey bottles from you. Which one should I use?
  18. Cheer Al.... can't understand why it does it on half and not on full. Will look at the PAS fluid ASAP.
  19. Been out in the car today for the first time in a few weeks. Pulled out of the road and was tootling a long, pulled round a right hand-er (quite tight) and the steering wheel juddered loads. Found a closed car park, drove around a bit and it did the same on a left turn. But only at half lock (no more) and at a semi decent speed (30ish?) Anyone know what this could be? Straight line drives fine, normal lefts and rights (even large roundabouts) absolutely fine. But tight turns and small roundabouts, judders pretty bad Could it be the Power steering fluid/pump?
  20. "Gotta modify the van!!!" No, going to be keeping her Yellow, as she is insanley bright and different. Yup, tis' a car bra. They are used all the time on the Transporters. MIGHT take it off, even if it is just to see what it looks like. But if I do, I will be having the front end wrapped in that clear 3m stuff to protect the year old paint job. Cheers...
  21. Will have to get my old man to do it
  22. Yeah, it's an Ex-AA (obviously) but has gone a few shades lighter for that certain "pop" Hoping for a nice sunny day after the weekend so I can get some decent photo's of it with my decent camera. Fetching it from Exmouth on Saturday... can't wait! Yeah, we have lots of plans for it bud.... Gonna have to get a quote for you to clay bar it, gonna take you a week?
  23. Nice.... This is the Ex-AA model 'Top of the range' .... 102 PS (75 kW; 101 bhp) @ 3,500 250 N·m (184 ft·lbf) @ 1,900 BUT ... it has just had '150 bhp' injectors put on it... and will be getting a re-map as soon as I get hold if it. Can't WAIT to get it..... also means I will be able to properly SORN the Zed over next winter and only tax it for 6 months He also retro fitted cruise control to it... which if your`s is the right sort of year is easy to do as they are drive by wire anyway. Yes, no CC on it at the moment. but I think, as you say, it is pretty easy. about £60 for the stalk as all the electrics are all ready there. Have LOADS of other stuff to do to it first. Like take the height back up, as it is PROPERLY slammed to the deck. lowered 110mm! Won't go over any speed bumps like that. Then there is a little rust in the sliding door shut which I need to sort. Insurance is weird, need to put a working sink and a 'cooking appliance' into it within 6 months, as part of my agreement. but we were planning on doing that anyway...
