  1. Repairing laptops can be expensive/impossible. But no reason why you shouldn't take it to get a quote for it being repaired/upgraded.
  2. +100,000 ... Steer WELL clear of Dell. Acer are a good basic start if you don;t want to shell out loads of cash. Yes, it's a trojan, not a virus... although I get your point. Even so, if you are daft enough to download and install software you don't know/trust, then you should stick with a PC and buy anti-virus software.
  3. oooohhh... coooolio. Who (other than Opie) recommended the gulf bud?
  4. Exactly... why waste your money on updates from Microsoft and Anti-virus software? Save that money and buy a Mac... NO viruses!!!
  5. +1 .... how much for the Spacer, HFC's and Remap... all supplied and fitted?
  6. That's what Mac's were DESIGNED for http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-mac-lap ... 0717883211
  7. Looking to do an oil change... ZManAlex will hook me up but delivery price is pretty steep (not his fault, obviously) so I am looking into buying something locally, as I am skint for cash at the mo. I was pricing up the Titan Race Pro S and it is just over £50 (5L), but the shop said they do Gulf Competition which is "the same" and loads cheaper, £32(5L). Which makes me think it is either a bargain, or a load of bollox. Anyone know anything about Gulf Competition?
  8. And 300% LESS drive-able A number of other manufacturers manage to figure out alternative ways of building their cars Selling up and buying one?
  9. I had the same with my setup, I did it all myself but it buzzed and I had alternator whine, in the end I went to a professional and paid them to tidy it up and it is perfect... Worst bit was when the guy said 'What amateur fitted this' I mumbled something about it being in the car when I got it I have learned from that one before, so I "star earthed" everything on mine, so I get no whine-ing... Might need to address the doors. I think they are the worst. The soundproofing have stopped the doors themselves rattling.... but the door CARDS seem to rattle badly. But The biggest issue is the tweeter location. Think I need to move them to the A-Pillar's for a PROPER sound install. But that is going to be a right pain!
  10. I don't understand why people are saying the rear strut is bad.... Never really been in the way for me at all. We usually do our weekly shop at Tesco in the Zed. If you pack right at the check out, there is never a problem!
  11. I DO like that colour... At first glance it looks kinda "boring" black.... then you do a double take and it looks amazing. That a blue flame on there? the blue tips look good too. Subtle.
  12. 1. Best mod, defo my alloys. The AWFUL 19" things that were on before, nearly made me SELL the car!!! Made her skittish, unstable, unpredictable. Awful. Whoever put them on and didn't notice the difference needs shooting! Taking her back to standard 18" GT Rays turned her into the car I wanted her to be. 2a. Currently in a love hate relationship with the new ICE setup. One day it sounds amazing, the next it sounds awful with rattles and buzzing and vibrations. Think it depends on what I am listening to. May need to take it to The ICE house and get them so set it up properly for me. 2b. How can a big company like Nissan get away with such AWFUL paintwork!?!?! I have runs in mine where it looks like it has water dripping down the corner of the wing, but it is paint! 2c. My steering wheel isn't straight, pretty sure my tracking is still not 100% on. But £30 at my local garage has taken it to 2 degrees out rather than the 7 degrees it was out before. Will be getting it "perfect" once the alloys are re-furbed next year.
  13. This is what a Veilside kit SHOULD look like... http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/ ... 2409732668
  14. Why? What was wrong? Boot/bonnet different? Gone for a wrap then?
  15. Parking on the road... in the winter...? Really? viewtopic.php?f=11&t=43864&hilit=gritter BEWARE!!!!
  16. My old man had one for his old motor. ohhh! Beware of covers.... If they are touching the car and there is any movement, they can scratch.... even just a little ripple in the cover from the wind over a 2-3 day period can scratch your paint.
  17. Is it not better to just disconnect it, then charge it in the summer?
  18. http://www.carcoon.co.uk/ http://www.midlandmarquees.co.uk/CarcoonEvo.htm
  19. If you have ever replaced your boot struts, you will know how INSANELY heavy the boot and boot glass are. Simple/free option is to take the boot weight out.... Complex/expensive option is to go for a plastic window/boot setup.
