Friend of mine is starting a rebuild on his bluey engine and is struggling to find an official Nissan manual for it. Like the PDF one we have floating around for the 350. Does anyone know anything about these cars/engines? Or can point me in the direction of an official works manual for them? Cheers peeps...

Mine is still for sale.... Fixed the passenger side window last weekend...

Spent today replacing the passenger side window motor. Nissan original part from ZMANAlex. Another £187 spent. No expense spared. Now works like a charm, reset properly and drops/rises when the door is opened/closed as per standard.

Mods... can you take this down please? NEVER going to sell mine with this one on here!!!!

Hey bud... Selling would mean having to swap your non LED brace for mine... which involves quite a bit of stripping/building the panels. Going to have to say no I'm afraid... sorry bud!

Two choices... 1. Send it off to "Clarion House" with a cheque and they will do the fix for you. If you REALLY want to keep it as standard. I spent a long time looking into this and found all the info about where to send it and how much (all on here somewhere, have a search and shout me if you can't find it) 2. New HU. As Jason says the Bose setup is NOT actually Bose, just has Bose stamped on it. Like most of the "top" systems put into cars at the moment. So it is actually a Clarion system, not hte decent Bose one, like you have in your kitchen. (As Do I) I ended up just getting a new HU and ripping ALL the old crap out. Very glad I did.

On a motorway drive, I could get 33mpg on cruise control at 70. Tootling round town, more like 23. Having fun? As low as 15 in the twisties! --EDIT-- When working out fuel costs from MPG, remember to use OPTIMAX prices for your conversion. I have only ever put over 99ron or over in the tank of this Zed. Other than the week of the fuel strikes when I couldn't find any... and you CAN feel a BIG difference.

But I can soon put her back together. Nope, no full service history. Quite a bit though... No new timing chain, although I have never heard of these "going".... but feel free to correct me on that..

I will be TOTALLY honest with you on the sound. The bass doesn't push quite as hard as I would like it to. If I was too keep it, I would either fibreglass the inside of where the sub sits and have a larger enclosure, made from the actual structure of the depths of the car, for solid sound. Letting me use a ported enclosure, for better sound. OR ... just put a ported enclosure in the boot, where a nice 10" will easily sit and still not be seen from the outside of the car. Stealth was always the aim with the system. Saying that, the Rainbows are incredible... and produce enough bass themselves for a lovely sound. I keep meaning to take the door skins off and dial the tweeters back slightly, as they are a little sharp for my taste and you can alter it with jumpers in the cross-overs. But I have done that with the EQ on the HU. I have fallen in love with the Genesis amp.... ended up putting THREE in my campervan, matching them with Rainbows again. Although I am sure you could come down and make some amp/EQ recommendation's to make it sound better

Miles a huge issue for you? Just wondering why... out of interest. Well, if you want to have a look anyway, just drive down the A49 (Nice drive that) and have a look. Even if you just want a look round to kick the tyres. More than happy to show you what condition you are looking for

Hmm... the bang on the door didn't work. So, is there any point in me trying to check if the power is setup right? Or so I just need to replace the motor, as Al says.... Just don't really want to fork out £150 when I am trying to sell it, unless I have to. But I do want it right before I sell it. Is everyone SURE it will be the motor? Is there anyway I can test it? The passenger side "control box" clicks if you use the button... and also if you use the passenger button from the drivers door. So I am 100% sure it is getting power. Would a multi-meter and a bit of advice allow me to be positive I need to replace the motor? Advice peeps? N.B. I unplugged this, just for the photo.... Cheers guys!
