  1. ha ha .. I understand that feeling Get it sold, double quick....
  2. I have had quite a few PM's about the car... mostly asking the same questions. Thought I would cover them off in the thread. 1)Why are you replacing the clutch, is it slipping? N, the clutch works perfectly fine to be honest. Which is 'unusual' for a Zed of this age, being on an original clutch. When I decided to sell, it was suggested that I bought a clutch due to the age of the car to make it more saleable. One thing that may have helped the clutch is that when I first bought the Zed, I decided to take my Institute of Advanced Motoring test. Which I passed with a "F1RST" grade. This gave me knowledge and skills in car sympathy and made me an all round MUCH better driver. 2) General State of the Zed? An independent car assessor performed a report on the car last year, when I was thinking of selling. The assessor said the clutch was not slipping at all and therefore did not need replacing. But it is one of the things people look for in a Zed of this age. The Assessors report covered: 1a) The paint job was showing signs of ageing - Normal for a 10 year old car. 1b) Also that some panels had been re-sprayed - Which I had done, see my thread for details. 2) The chassis was showing signs of early stages of rust - So I had it all sanded back and weather proofed professionally with Waxoil. 3) The oil & filter was probably due a change - Was on my to do list anyway. 4) AUX belts in poor condition - That is what the Blue Dot V-Belts are for. 5) Car would not start due to flat battery, had to be jump started - Bought a new battery, with a 5 year warranty. Basically, I fixed (and/or bought all the parts to fix) all the issues he mentioned. 3) Servicing? As for servicing, the car was last "officially" serviced by Nissan in 2009. In the three years I have owned her I have done the servicing myself. First year was a FULL fluid change. Engine oil/filter, Gear Box oil, PAS fluid, Brake Fluid... everything I could do. Using parts and fluids from ZManAlex. Also changed the spark plugs, again from ZManAlex. Second and third year, just oil and filter changes. As she has been tucked up garage since November last year, she hasn't needed any work doing on her. Although I would recommend an oil and filter change. 4) General History? I am fastidious about keeping receipts and info on my vehicles. I totally forgot to mention that I put quite a lot of this info online to be seen by any potential buyer. There is lots more, this is just a selection... http://www.jameshard...om/350Z/History She currently has an MOT till August. You guys are right to be asking questions. Specially those looking to travel quite large distances for the car.... Any distance can be a long way to come to see if a car is really as the seller says it is. Luckily for potential buyers all the history and work I have done on the car is laid out in my Ownership thread. I have been an active member on here since before I bought the car, so you can search about me and my general attitude towards car ownership and driving. Also, fellow members have seen the car at a few meets and can confirm the way I look after the car and it's general state, condition and upkeep. Please just PM me or post on this thread if you need any more info or have any more questions.
  3. All personal choice... I do like the blue. Went to see one when I was looking to buy. Just really preferred the Alzean leather, which I didn't think you could get in the blue? As I presume it wouldn't sit right with the colours together.
  4. DON'T WATCH THE TRAILER!!! Just watch the film, go in blind... Amazing!
  5. Thanks for your honesty spursmaddave. I hear what you are saying about the ICE, I guess I could take it out. HU, amp and speakers are probably work around £500-£600 all in. (Even thought I paid over double that for it new!) Just really like the install as it is, super stealth and would like it to stay in the car and be appreciated by the next owner as much as I do. Starting to think that might not be an option. Wasso has actually asked for my install all ready if I take it out, so I suppose I could easily sell it. Will have a think.
  6. Oh dear GOD... Bought this on a whim.... LOVED IT... Bought it on BluRay just so I could watch it again in high Def... bloody brilliant...
  7. As you guys are giving advice on pricing.... And Carl is after a car at a good price.... And I a looking to sell mine to someone who will carry on looking after it the same way I always have... Can you guys critique my motor and give an honest opinion to Carl350z on what you think mine is worth? Stick it in this thread... or my sales thread... or even PM Carl directly. Would be interested on what you guys think. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/71162-2003-gun-metal-grey-gt-uk-was-6750-now-6250/ UK spec, 53, Gun Metal GT, Rays, Alzean, Sealth ICE upgrade, just over 80k .... Thought gentlemen?
  8. PRICE DROP.... Was £6750, now £6250 Will even be able to do her for £6000 without the new £400 box of goodies, which I can easily sell on here for £350. (Clutch, V-Belts, Clutch oil, release bearing, molly slip... full kit form ZManAlex, worth over £400) Someone is going to get a bargain!
  9. Morning peeps... Anyone fancy a lovely motor for the summer?
  10. Good luck with that Friendy. Welcome to come and have a look if you like.
  11. Depends on the JDM version. Some are not to the same UK spec, some are better. Some don't have the standard weather proofing and if they didn't have it when they were imported can be rusty. Plus, insurance companies are renound for charging more for Imports. So you pay more fort he UK spec but then less for insurance every year.

    My New Car

Bath tubs built on scaffolding pole, by English Muppets, interior falling apart from rubbish stinky glue, unreliable, expensive to keep... DEAR GOD I WANT ONE!! Very jealous...
  13. Where are you Carl...? Come have a look at mine and make me an offer... Standard and ready for you to make your mark on it. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/71162-2003-gun-metal-grey-gt-uk-6750/
  14. ha ha ... Will see how it goes selling her as she is first. But it's something I'd consider bud.
  15. I meant I have never heard of the SPG555 you looooooooon Always weary of non round speakers... could just be that shite 6x9's have put me off for life. Would be a BIG sub for facing forwards. I think you might struggle to do that. Plus, apparently, you would get better sound with it pointing down/up. Or do you JUST want the kick in your back
  16. Not heard of them... (But that doesn't mean anything!) Looks pretty deep for fitting.... Your best bet is to just rip out the OEM sub and see what space you have.
  17. Pretty sure, if you removed all the brackets, then you could go a little bigger. The brackets for the parcel shelf and the OEM sub are on both sides for L&R hand drive. I only took out the ones I needed to. but if you took them all out, then you might get the extra space you need. What's the sub you are looking at fitting? Found out with the van install the the size/shape of the speaker means NOTHING with the wrong size box but you should start with a decent speaker anyway....
  18. Thank you Samu.. Cheers DT Damn, KNEW I had forgotten something! Telford, Shropshire ... thanks for the nudge Callum
  19. Cheers Stu. Was worried the clutch was slipping a little. So Just paid £400 for a clutch setup and new blue-dot V-Belts from ZManAlex. No expense spared, even when I am selling her! Just have to fit it now
  20. Hey buddy... Phone was off with EE for a couple of weeks "being fixed" .... Didn't get anything. What do you need bud?
