  1. The picture with the trial bumper seem to have the insert already on or am i being daft. I too would be interested. How much are we looking at?
  2. Love the black & white shot. How was this acheived?
  3. http://www.motorseeker.com/usedcar.php had a look round this yesterday. Looks very clean and tidy
  4. Thanks you learn something every day. James B ignore my stupid advice
  5. Never jump start your Zed or any other car with a cat converter (which is most cars now) as you will wreck the Cat From experience, even when you have started your car, unless you are going on a long journey, put it on a trickle charge overnight please tell why very interested, never heard this before.
  6. Unless the battery is totally flat and you can get someone to give you a bit of a push there's no need to buy jump leads. Just put the ignition on put the car into 1st/2nd gear kepping the clutch down then when at a moderate speed raise the cluth which in turn will turn over the engine and away you go.
  7. I would check the oil levels every 12 months regardless of milage, top up if mecessary and change completly the next time round.
  8. Hi welcome to the forum as for the fuel it's Premium for me all the time. unless you are doing loads of miles the cost is negligible. Generally 5p difference per litre, so to fill up 80 litres is an extra £4. That not a pint of lager in town .
  9. I know some people are not mechanically minded but i have never taken any of my cars to the STEALERS for a sevice. I just dont see the point other than to get the sevice book stamped. Yesyerday Oil, Air filter Change, all fluid levels checked and topped up plus a complete set of Plugs fitted. Basic tools requires 8/10 mm socket, philips screw driver, spark plug socket with extention amd a 10mm spanner. 2 hours later done, and driving in the Peaks. This is not a boast on my part but IMO most people would have been able to takle these. £260/£400 seems to be a little excessive IMO for anyone to charge.
  10. This seem to be a common dilema, work getting in the way of great wekend meets. It's the lakes for me for two reasons one is work and the more important is that Linda says so as she love it there.
  11. It's seem to be getting ho so exciting even with 126 days to go, NOT counting realy
  12. Just out of curiosity, Do you ever venture to Chesterfield as i spotted one a week or two ago, evening time which looked very similar to yours
