  1. My knowledge of the safety partnership vehicle is that some have darkened glass in the rear doors which is clearly noticable. So if the picture is a true reflection of what you passed then you may be OK. But some vans do have the viewing point for the camera on the side pannel of the the van and the rear signs are for driver awareness. You may be lucky you may not.
  2. Hurry up cookbot, seriously thinking of doing this myself, and as you are so close it would be nice to see the end product and the extra performance
  3. Continuous Insurance Enforcement (CIE) LEGISLATION Once the necessary regulations are drawn up, it will be an offence to be the keeper of a vehicle which is not covered by a specified policy or by a blanket policy (“open cover contractâ€) covering vehicles owned by the policyholder or other party named in the policy. There will be specific exemptions, the main two of which will be that the vehicle has been statutorily declared off the road (SORNed) or a change of keeper is in the process of being completed by the DVLA. The latter part of the red text may just be relevent.
  4. I have had a quick look at the SORN legislation and there is nothing to say you have to surrender the curent tax disc, only that you have to inform them the vehicle will not be used on a road or other public place. The no tax legislation only refers to motor vehicles seen on a pubic roads for which you could receive notification of a pending fine but this generally sent with a option to pay the back tax without any action being taken. Therefore just tell them of you intentions to sorn the Z, leave on the drive which doen't require any insurance, except should it be stolen or damaged whilst no insurance is in palce you have no coverand will loose everything. When you have sold the the other car insure the Z and notify the DVLA the car is no longer to be registered as SORN.

  11. I had a remap done at home for my Astra GSI Turbo (quoted between 20/35 Hp) increase, Once done took it to JBS Tuning in Chesterfield, put it on their rolling road got a print out off the HP, Yes you guessed it nothing, nada, no gains what so ever. Go them back (& my money), put the original map back on and went to Courtnay tuning specialists and got it done right. My advise stick with the specialists. RS/Abbey.

  17. That all that matters. Saw some on Ebay just like them often wondered what they would like on the Z.
  18. The aim is to ascertain what the max pressure is to both, lift the boot lid, without it falling down under it's own weight having fitted an after market spoiler. I have had mine recently regassed to 500 Nm's which is ok for the lifting but is so strong that it is distorting the roof line when closed. The struts can not be de-gassed. so the intention was to do some trials with differnt weights attached to the boot and increase the gas pressure as we go until the optinum pressure is found.
