  1. Great way of getting rid of your money Pete thats one way of looking at it. Personally, I see it more as not falling foul of much depreciation (actually sold my Celica GT4 for more that I paid for it a month earlier) - plus theres the added benefit of enjoying different cars a few times each year. In an ideal world I would have a huge garage and unlimited funds :-) I used to change my cars fairly often too when I was younger (and didn't have a care in the world). For example I had a new Triumph Spitfire for just 4 months, a new Austin Healey Sprite for 9 months and so on. Lost money on them all, but depreciation on new cars back then wasn't as severe as it is now. Only car that I made a bit of money on was a Mini 1000 and they shot up in value during the fuel crisis in 1974. Started keeping my cars a bit longer, 18 months average in the 80's but then had the same car right through the 90's, in fact since 1989 I've owned just 4 cars. I have to say that box ticking is a thing of the past for me, I just want something that's reasonably quick, super reliable and if looked after will last for many years without any major dramas. TBH, I used to love driving when I was younger but recently find it something of a chore. Pete
  2. Yes, difficult to see that much when your eyes are 6 inches off the floor . Pete
  3. A couple of photos. Today. The blue eyed kitten has already cost me over £100 pounds in vet fees . Here's why.... Yes, she fell off just a few seconds after I took this photo last week, first onto the window ledge then onto the floor hurting one of her paws and introducing an infection...but she's O.K now, full of beans again . Pete
  4. I heard they weren't doing any more 350's, must have heard wrong I guess? What are they charging these days, Caroline's roadster is in desperate need of a new roof. Pete

    Legal?

That style of rear lights were fitted to the JDM anniversary model circa 2006. The ones you have are probably replicas though. Pete
  7. Just a quick update. Mum has now moved her kittens into a larger box and they've started to open their eyes. The white ones are now changing colour, the stripes on their tails coming through in the last 2 days. More photos in the next few days . Pete
  8. Or the 300, 350 and 370. Datsun obviously had a bigger is better philosophy back then. Pete

  10. Kittens are progressing well, they're still in the igloo at the moment so no new photos yet. I'm actually hoping to sell all six of this litter so you would be welcome to buy one off me, in fact you can have first choice . The all white kittens are almost certainly seal lynx points, these are the only bengals that have blue eyes. I've no idea yet on whether they'll have spots but seeing as both mum and dad are spotted it's highly likely they'll be spotted too. The other 3 in the litter are already showing their spots, there's a silver, a grey and a brown. Also, it's a bit too early to determine what sex the kittens are but I should know once mum moves them out of the igloo. They should be ready to go in 2 months time . I'll update this thread just as as soon as I get some photos. Pete
  11. Just simply crazy tax pricing for what is essentially the same car/engine but good luck to those who have ZEDs first registered before 23/3/2006. As I remember it.................The higher tax rate was meant to apply to all vehicles, however, under pressure from manufacturers and the motor trade in general the government of the time backed down and set the date for the higher tax rate from 23rd March 2006. I don't know why that date was chosen, I'm sure I did at one time though . Anyhow, I do remember that the lower tax rate was meant to be temporary, although after 9 years I guess there's little chance of it changing now. Pete
  12. 06's started on March 1st 2006 but higher tax rate started on the 23rd March 2006. Consequently, there will be a few 06's at the lower rate but keeping in mind there was a new model available on April 1st 2006 then something like 95% will be the higher rate. Pete
  13. Yes, I was in the Grey 350Z roadster . The Ginger Roadster was 10 or so cars in front of me at the time...I don't really understand how it was one car behind me when I reached Winsford Pete
  14. Yeah, got this icon on my 2 laptops today and also on my Netbook which runs a basic version of Windows 7. I've signed up for just one of them at the moment as its a 3gb download that'll take hours on my 2mb line. Pete
  15. First one, a Grey 350Z close to Vicars Cross Golf Club just outside Chester on Saturday afternoon. Not long after that an 06 facelift Ginger roadster in Winsford. Finally this morning an 03 Import Ginger at Tesco in Mold. Pete
  16. Here's my update. First its only fair I tell you the bad news. We have lost 2 of the kittens we got last year sadly, one of them was run over and the other one just vanished although there have been sightings of her fairly recently about a mile away. The good news is that we have now got hold of 2 more Bengal kittens and here they are . To add to the good news one of our other Bengals has had her first litter of kittens......no less than 6 of them on Wednesday morning . I actually watched a couple of them being born but Caroline ran away when she saw a set of legs poking out . 3 of them are pure white, they will develop their markings at a later stage. Then we have 2 grey spotted and one brown spotted. Difficult to get pictures at this stage as she had them in an igloo like cat basket and not in any of the many boxes we had prepared around the house. Just the one photo so far. Pete
  17. This'll stop everything apart from legit calls. It works by detecting the small gap that automated calls have and immediately cuts them off. No need to block individual numbers, just plug and play. Had mine for several years and not a single unwanted call has got through. http://www.callblocker.co.uk/ Pete
  18. Big update coming up on Friday.....hopefully . Pete
  19. What a sweet kitten, she's lovely. Pete
  20. And in Wales too, only 87 houses would have had to pay the mansion tax should Labour have won the election !! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-30956422 Pete
  21. The triangle is over hyped rather than overrated. Has some great parts like the forest section and the wide open sections around The Sportsmans Arms are pretty intense but there are roads within easy reach that for some reason never get included in the drive outs, like for example the A525 over The Bwlch, The Llandegla Moors or the Mold to Ruthin road over The Clwyd Gate. Pete
  22. They make great pets, so I'm told, but like hamsters and other rodents they have very short lives, 2-3 years on average . Pete
  23. Highly unlikely unless he was sick (or a smallish kitten). Foxes hunt animals that can't harm them and although a fox may well prevail in a fight with a cat instinct tells them that a cat can do a fair bit of damage to it. There's plenty of videos on You Tube showing fox/cat encounters and you can see how foxes are quite cautious when faced with a cat. Regarding a lost cat you should check out some of the lost and found cat sites on the internet and also any animal rescue centres in your area, data goes back for years on most sites. Pete Agreed. Foxes are generally wary of cats. Here's a good example https://www.youtube....yffAggI4 Pete
  24. Welcome along . I know the Dolgarrog area quite well, must be the smallest place in The U.K to have a railway station . Pete
