  1. Just to add..... a HUGE thank you to Zugara & doogyrev for all their help yesterday, what with all the shinnanigans getting it all on and together - overall, extremely happy. Fantastic sound, really V6ish unlike others that can just scream - i would reccomend this exhaust to anyone And also Paul & Jim - what sound blokes - people like you make for such a fantastic forum. Thanks chaps!
  2. That sounds fantastic. Have you got a link to where you bought it from?
  3. I know of him very well - mainly as im a moderator on the hyundai forums Tiburon Automotive was ready to emburse them which means they must be quite good. I would trust the disks on the z, but maybe upgrade the pads
  4. Typically with the Vauxhalls - the 1.6 & 1.8 units have had this problem son their 98-06 cars - and the remedy (other than spending £1100 on clutch/flywheel combo).... single flywheel!
  5. I thought they were the K1 / K1 copies that 2fast2cool sell?
  6. Hi, Please can I have second dibs on the exhaust if first person doesnt accept. Payment ready cheers
  7. Having switched from the V6 Coupe i promise this is 100% true
  8. Polystyrene (sp.) blocks in all the voided spaces, so that the bumper cant flex or twist - followed by a few miles of bubble wrap and parcel tape
  9. on previous cars i've had, that was always the tell tale story that the gearbox oil needed topping up / replacing I think i read somewhere that you "just" put x volume in - there isnt a way of checking (ie when it starts to fall out the level drain plug) - maybe theres quite a few out there that are low on oil? (or need a top up) When i had it previously, it was horrible in the cold - changed the oil and bingo - all was well and good Mines funny in 1st - 2nd, so was thinking about getting it changed at next service to see if my babble is true
  10. hahaha you silly sods, the idea isnt to rip the whole plastic off in one go!!! you have to tear it off gradually As im the same - i either end up coughing until it hurts or driving with the windows down until the thing stops smelling.... which is kinda dumb but why, why BIGGER?!
  11. as much as i respect your opinion, and obviously have a good amount of history on the subject - that one had my head shaking - either you have been to the wrong clubs, or seen the wrong videos. Proper Martial Arts teaches exactly that (and im not talking about Karate which is a *sport*)
  12. I studied martial arts for about 4-5 years a while back (left because of an injury... playing with fireworks as lads do went badly) and never picked up again - However, at the risk of sounding a bit thuggish and blunt, theres lots that i managed to take away from it - Mainly learning how to hit someone. Ok it sounds a stupid thing to say, but i mean, really hit someone. Everyone can throw a punch, but having the knowledge of standing even a slight chance of blocking something and giving a blow back that more or less promises to finish it gives you enough time to evade. Its something ive been meaning to get back into for a year or so now, but finding the right club for me has proved difficult... all different styles, types and methods all have their own, unique pro's (and cons) however ultimately, for me anyhow leaning even just a few basic techniques (arbeit doing them over and over 3 times a week for 4 years) ultimately gave me an edge incase i ever ended up in such an unfortunate circumstance. A real good average-joe street fight is usually ended with one good punch.
  13. yep, dont they legally have to keep records of invoices etc for 7 years? so that should be no problem at all. For double safety, id reccomend photocopying any invoices and the stamped pages for your records incase of the worst...
  14. thanks guys - local exhaust centre also confirmed that paste is absolutely fine! Yeah, its the one of the major downsides to still living at home...boooo. Maybe i can push with the K2 Previously had Hyundai's (2.0 and 2.7v6) totally decat and boy that was annoying i bet... having the windows shake for 20 mins on the cold mornings whilst i de-iced the car
  15. WELL in a massive turn of events, it appears im not bloody allowed a noisey exhaust. Parents and neighbours have had enough after 5 years. I need my own gaff. that blows.
  16. Thanks Russ - only problem being i am too impatient Ive heard of people fitting before without gaskets, and should be fine - i cant see there being any/much flex down that part, so lets hope for the best eh? I'll let you guys know tomorrow what the fitting centre says.....
  17. No, i bought it from a member on here.... Well im off to the local tyre & exhaust fitters in the morning to get it sorted - they will have the bolts no doubt, but the only thing i wondered about was whether i could get away with gasket paste/silicone rather than the gaskets? From what i can see where the centre section joins the y pipe there is no trace of a gasket being used there (the putty was used by the looks of it) Does anyone else just ditch the gaskets and use the other sealing method? Cheers guys
  18. Hey guys, Just got my K1 through the post, couple of questions.. * Can you use gasket paste as a replacement to gaskets? * - Can you use the OEM nuts ones to fit? Cheers
  19. awwwaaah, that sucks that he never got it finished
  20. once you start whipping the silencers/resonators out you'll notice that you just get cheap 'orrible rasp without the right setup to accompany it. That said, above sounds quite nice imo
  21. re-setting the ecu wont give you anything except a dicky short term fuel trim STFT when you boot it around everywhere. Iirc most ecu's adapt within 200 miles - so unless theres major changes that you have literally just done - there isnt a lot that will change - even then, it adapts to try and read optimum (or what it thinks is) AFR / ignition timing etc.
  22. i had an old peugeot where the fuel reading increased on roundabouts - i hoped that if i drove everywhere pirrowetting to the left i'd never run out of fuel..... didnt work though
  23. Prices do seem to fluctuate an awful lot ive noticed.... i got my 05 UK for not an awful lot more than that a few weeks back
