  1. I can offer a service to polish plenums for people if they like - provided they send me a spare and not their actual one, as this takes time. Or I can offer an exchange service from about a weeks time. The key is to get EVERY dimple out... the smoother the finish, the higher the shine. These are ones that arent quite there but you get the idea Can dig out pictures of previous work on other inlet manifolds if you like.... Edit - heres some - let me know if cluttering post and i'll remove

    Are they the Japspeed ones?
  3. I've used the Eagle F1's before on a previous car and thought they were absolutely superb, wet and dry
  4. cor bladdy hell thats what i've got and i was going to offer it up straight swap for a stock airbox
  5. me 3. Just put it down to the exhaust popping underneath.
  6. i asssumed they got all the support and help in Wales.... well,.... because theyre Welsh. They need it
  7. its all in the servicing..... if the engine has been looked after, it should be fine. a poorly maintained one could last 80k, whereas a well looked after one could do starship mileage
  8. I chose a non GT because of the same thing - i was fed up with leather seats, and mine had the rays package from the factory. Stereo will get removed anyway, and the prices were much better - so i dont really lose if / when i sell anyway.....
  9. chopped in my previous car in p/x from a dealer - and i think this was chopped in as part exchange on an Skyline or something. Slightly off-topic, but im sure my car is from a previous member on here.....
  10. There is. Any exhaust that is modified to be louder than standard for its age and type is a failure - its all down to the testers discretion. Quite a new one (last 2 years or so) due to the amount of Barry cans. Police can also pull you over and test db levels as they do with window tints etc
  11. This is always a really tough call, i know of someone of whome got to the point they sat with a baseball bat for the b@stards, after week after week of the person having their car trampled all over, jumped on, keyed, windows cracked - only to beat the crap out of them, and then find out they were a minor. Needless to say the story didnt end that well from what i remember..... From that, ive always thought especially when you dont want crap on your own doorstep, try out every other method first. I think that the motion sensor light is a very good idea, and should help put of the average scumbag - usually these things are done for no rhyme or reason, and something like that may even put them off. the only other thing that springs to mind is an uprated alarm - ie a proximity style one - but then, the downside to that is that if set to a sensitivity thats too high.... it becomes a game.
  12. what was your last car? shamefully, a Hyundai Coupe lol. i had the first Gen F2 Evo (that had the cams tb inlet manifold, fast cat headers etc etc etc) pretty much all you can shake a stick at, then had the 2.7 v6 which was decatted up to 200bhp, then got the nissan, then got another Hyundai coupe (2nd car) the 2nd gen ugly one with a turbo conversion which ive just sold I had catcams make them up from scratch, they had to have a cylinder head etc and i just gave them the specs for lift & duration and away you go!
  13. Meh, im a smoker too, and its easy to get out, with a good upholstery clean etc, so prep before sale doesnt bother me too much to be honest. Its more the damn hole in there! And no, lol, i just screwed up my face and swore a lot in my head
  14. I am tempted, but at the cost looking at around 1.5-2k for the cams fitted and tuned, I'm hoping mark can whip up some graphs for us to see (wink wink) The last cams I had only really added power from 5k up, about 15 or so, which wasn't bad for a little 2.0, but sounded great.
  15. True. But then you can double that figure in labour and all the other supporting bits you'll need, heck I'd be amazed if it was under treble.... I guess it'll be about 15bhp, which is what, near 5%, which given the cost I can see why people wouldn't.
  16. im quite surprised people havent really - surely there must be 1 person thats just put cams in......? Think i might have to be the test dummy
  17. think so. Im 23, and remember when i passed my test.... at 18 i was absolutely, 100% lethal. On a mid 90's 1.4 Pug. Let alone a 350z. At 17 theres (imo) plently of other and better ways to spend your cash - afterall, your insurance will only go up more after you write it off and maim / kill yourself or others -- not to be harsh, but you will not be able to control the car. I still cant drive now 6 years later
  18. oh, beg your pardon, i must be mistaken - its been on Autotrader for over a year
  19. im guessing that its the one just outside crawley - theres a few people that have looked at it now, and run away.
  20. Hi guys, thanks for all the help, I'll try out that link, thanks dude, also will pm around for lining prices , from what I gather its getting the right glue that's most important. LOL yes, obviously accidental, or I'd be referring to her as the ex lol
  21. lol you buggers im crying on the inside really lol Heres some pictures - the smudges come from this "Uh oh" - Her "QUICK!!!" - Me GET IT OFF NOW!!!!! - Me So it was brushed off rather promptly....
  22. Hi there guys, today is a bad day. Yesterday a fag got stubbed out on my roof lining, I'm not gonna lie, I could have screamed on the spot I now have a delightful fag end size hole in the roof. Any idea on my options? From where I see it, I can either get another, but have no idea of the cost of a lining and labour to fit, or, buy a sun visor and use the material to get it patched professionally. If the second, does anyone know of a professional in the Sussex or surrey area they can recommend? Thanks
  23. This is the problem I've had also, I can't find any gains from the cams alone. I've just sold my second car which had a turbo conversion, and its just not my thing. I'm very tempted with the stroker kit, but again, can't seem km find info on gains from the kit without fi added to it. On a previous car I went all out na, and although the cams were only mild, I loved the idlesplutter, even though the gains weren't that great.
  24. hi there guys, Have been looking around at the different options that are around for me to start putting on some power with the 350z, dependent on the cash flow that comes in over the next few months One option if money is tight is to look into the crower stage 2 cams - has anyone on here had these (NA) - if so, what power gains did you get out of these? At the moment i have a CAI on the car, and a true dual exhaust - with the cams i would be looking at installing an upper spacer along with a remap so get it all together. With the cost of fitting the cams being quite labour intensive, im obviously curios to see what the stage 2's can give. so come on guys... let me know what you got!
