  1. update- seems that the salty roads and such gave a bit of bother to the exhaust, but happily it all cleans up nicely with a bit of Autosol and toothbrush. Glad because i LOVE the exhaust!
  2. all comes down to the skill of the driver really.... I get absolutely trashed by a mate in a 1993 Peugeot 106 1.4 Mainly because he's a GT3 driver
  3. we only have 1 in my area too! No, wait, 2
  4. WOW is that the standard Azure blue? Looks better than mine lol That car is absolutely stunning. Good work
  5. I have a silly question..... Ive got slight whine in 6th gear when sitting at 80.... would adding an additive like mollyslip quieten it down?

  7. Had mine 6 months or so and its rusting up real bad. Will post pics but the rear silencers themselves are rusting up, very poor quality materials used IMHO
  8. ive crapped myself a few times with the Z, being my first RWD car too - have to say, the ESP is absolutely superb
  9. 24.5mpg for me all the time really... no motorway driving
  10. Great, thanks guys. I think the plan for now will be: Decent Single Din Headunit, (always loved alpine) and front speakers. Previously ive always focused on the fronts, but with the zed having the rears so close to your head - made me think twice... Think i will leave the sub for now... £1500 is a bit rich for me at the moment!! (for sound, me personally i just cant justify it) Next Question: Are there any decent speakers out there that will just sit nicely into the existing housing on the front door, without the need of MDF supports, re-cutting, etc and wont interfer with the window system? Ie straight in bobs your mothers brother and all that.... thanks guys!
  11. Nice one, thanks guys. Guess ill have to get a sub box made up? Not a lot is definitely a single din for me then, I just can't justify spending almost 1k for a full setup. Just a shame the stock system is so poor. Like, terrible
  12. No sorry I have a non gt, so no bose system at all, but would hope that its possible to put an after market sub in the void behind the drivers seat.
  13. Hey man, yeah have had a look at that, seems good kit. Fitting isn't a problem, done a few systems now, its more kinda 'what can I get that's good for nout' thing
  14. Hey there guys, sorry to plonk us another thread asking for advice but I've been lookingand looking but can't find what I'm after or unsure but you guys are the wizards! Basically I am looking to upgrade the ice, a spentjw have non se stereo, with no sub. Ho not worried about losing steering wheel controls etc but I think but I'm looking to do It as cheap as possible. Don't mind second hand as long as it works, but can anyone recommend me; Speakers that fit ho front and back with no modification Sub that I can fit in the spot behind the drivers seat? Head unit I should say, I'm not after massive so of or competition grade quality, just a cheap good midrange improvement to whats there now, with a bit of punch. Thanks guys
  15. its a shame the double dins cost so much though
  16. try FULLY extending the seatbelt out, and let it return gently a few times. sometimes this sorts it out along with slack seatbelts etc
  17. coolio, thanks guys. Guess i'd better keep my eyes peeled for a super bargain. Although, is the single din conversion used very often? I kinda like the fact i have a double din, but a good single would be more in my region at the moment...
  18. thanks guys the link is: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... TQ:GB:1123 but i guess that the headunit wasnt sperated - the seller bought it from someone else and never fitted it.... I thought there was one connector block that would be required to fit (so im told) but is it more than that then? Cheers guys!
  19. HI there guys, I have a poverty spec non GT UK 05 plate and this currently doesnt have the bose system in it. Ive seen a listing for a bose set thats ending tonight, but wondered - is it actually worth upgrading? the listing contains the 4 speakers, sub and head unit, along with the sub amp. The one thing that REALLY lets down these cars on the non GT are the terrible stereo - above 22/31 it distorts, is tinny and sounds naff. Is it worth getting the bose setup? As im not wanting to spend alot.... im not a major ICE man, but i like music to a reasonable level with good quality sounds thanks guys
  20. i live in a cul de sac, and have the same system as Zugara Sounds frickin' amazing. Not too loud at all on startup. A little deep, but not excessive. I wasnt allowed a K1, and i thought this would be pushing it, but so far so good, no complaints!
  21. I find that general cruising - its very deep sounding, but when full footed, it loses that a little bit (which is a good thing as its quite loud!) But the lovely burble it gives goes full guns on showing of its v6-ness
  22. when you say power loss.... i presume you mean <5whp etc.... I didnt notice diddy squat with my TD, other than a fantastic noise
  23. No not at all But i bloody am so that's all that matters as its too late now Nice to have met the both of you, thanks for the coffee - will definately be along to a meet soon! As i pulled up onto the driveway my dad came in behind me.... his face was a picture! not to mention when i later very "neatly" stored all the OEM exhaust smack bang in the middle of the lounge Well, now im THIS far, i may aswell go for the berks at some point too
