  1. Either that or play the xbox less!
  2. That is the big problem with Virgin. Unless you're in one of the areas they put fibre in during the early 90's when it was being heavily subsidised, then you're pretty much out of luck
  3. It does, but it doesn't use very much. Even if you have it running 3 hours a day, every day, you'd struggle to rack up too much usage. Most people report it uses aprox 50MB per hour but that's obviously an approx figure
  4. depends what i'm doing. the speedtest shows it to be quite high as london is a reasonable distance from here and is the only place that i've found that i can test up to 50mb. Gaming is superb though; Counterstrike tends to be about 5-15ms for most UK servers. I almost never get lag on xbox live and if I do, it's always because some chump on the other end has a terrible connection. The beauty of the 50Mb connection is that it's completely uncapped and unthrottled. BBC iPlayer HD is instantaneous, as is loading web pages. Downloading stuff is really where it's at though. I've had download speeds of 5.4MB/s (~5530KB/s)
  5. it is the absolute business I found 21CN highly disappointing, went from 6.5mb DOWN to 5mb. It was quite early on though so there might have been technical issues with it back then. Either way, 21CN looks like dial up now
  6. the MotoGP next week has now been postponed becuase of this which is annoying... it's supposedly costing airlines $200m a day! i wonder if it will have any noticable effect on the price of fuel given that i imagine the demand worldwide has dropped noticably in the last week or so. unlikely i know, but at £1.30 a litre, i can only hope
  7. You're always going to get the odd procession race, but so far this year has been amazing Shame the stupid volcano business has postponed the japanese motogp, that's next weekend's plans ruined
  8. did you get her friend's number?
  9. we were rocking pepsi raw, lime and vodka last night. good stuff
  10. what a move by hamilton brilliant race and great result for team britain!
  11. crazy start already. looks like it could be a good one!
  12. to post photos you need to host them up somewhere. most people use photobucket as it's free and pretty easy to use that sounds like an interesting one with the sony! a new facia adapter should sort that out though at least you don't have to put up with the bose's constant skipping! get some pictures of your new toy up!
  13. seriously don't waste money on the bose. it's possibly the worst head unit i've ever had and isn't worth the time, effort or money to put in. you can get the iso connectors so your sony will work with the speakers or for what ever head unit you decide to replace it with
  14. my brother was due to fly out to portugal tomorrow for a coastal skipper's course - it's not looking good for him at the moment.
  15. The way I see it, it's best to assume the car has been run on the good stuff then continue to fill it with 97-99. That way, you're looking after it regardless of it's history As for the handsfree kit, it's pretty straight forward to remove yourself. The center console is only really held in with 3 screws.
  16. The one good thing about red bull constantly taking pole position is that it gives something for lewis to chase I do expect the top teams to level out a bit once they get back to europe. Ferarri hopefully will sort out the reliability of their appauling engines and mclaren will be able to sort out their downforce issues with any luck and we can have some real racing for the next 15 races
  17. Thank god this is the last early morning call for a while - can't be dealing with getting up this early this often! Should be a good one this weekend, McLaren have looked good so far, but i think Red Bull have yet to show their pace. No one has ever won china twice, but i think that'll be changing!
  18. there's really not much between them. best bet is to get the one you like the most
  19. true, although red bull have really nothing to do with toro rosso this year was going to ask what all this torro rosso stuff is about, and why they weren't called red bull ? *puts on f1 anorak* toro rosso and red bull are both owned by dietrich mateschitz (who owns the red bull drink company). red bull = old jaguar team toro rosso = old minardi team toro rosso initally was owned by both dm and gerhard berger (but then bought out fully by dm). the car was built by sister team red bull and was used for bringing up new drivers into f1 (such as vettel). since customer cars were banned for this season, toro rosso had to build their own car this year.

    Air Con?

most places will put a uv pigment into their ac gas to check for leaks. certainly have at least for the last 2 cars i've owned at various different garages.
  22. yeah, what was really impressive is that only the right upright failed, but because it went, the left was almost instantly overloaded causing it to go as well! must have been an absolutely insane amount of energy being passed around! toro rosso are running the previous version of the uprights now rather than the newer ones they brought to shanghai which is probably for the best!
  23. i've tried it, but have to admit, had little success. might give it another shot at the weekend though
  24. for those who missed it, the bbc have posted a video of it up: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 624282.stm edit: just noticed beavis posted this already
