  1. I understand what you are saying but aren't the ally ones supposed to replace the oem not be glued over the top of them. I think it's a dash off job to fit them

    New Alloys :D

    They're gonna look really
  3. Totally agree with you about the potholes and state of the English roads. We pay all our taxes each year and they still haven't fixed the roads. If they used proper tarmac in the first place this wouldn't happen after a small bit of snow. Instead they think short term and use cheap stuff and then put a lay of "gravel" on top of it using the road users' cars to flatten it all down and at the same time get some nice stone chips (not to mention cause the potential for skidding). In the "old days" (I'm only 33) they used rollers to flatten it all down and the tarmac actually lasted more than a year. Makes me mad. The pothole problem is caused by using frost susceptible materials in the upper 450 mm of the road construction, usually in the sub-base layers. These materials expand due to the formation of ice crystals in the voids during prolonged periods of cold weather. It's down to cost really .....accountants v engineers again The fact that the problem lies at a depth below the surface means that frequent repair is necessary year on year ............ at great expense to both the road users and the road owner
  4. Biscuit will be along shortly to recommend Sesantas which I must admit are a nice looking tread pattern
  5. Thanks Trev and Chris ... I'm now assured that there's not too much wrong with my discs
  6. I like what Colin's done with the wrapping, but my question is 'why the fangs in the first place' .................I don't know of anyone who likes them
  7. Welcome Nik ...you'll get lots of help on here ..... find the car you're interested in and let us have a look before you buy

    GT4 WANTED

Please please please stop wanting one everyone ...... you'll put prices up ...... at least wait till I get mine
  11. +1 - usually pad deposit. Do the break in procedure again and twice if needed and it should sort it. If its really bad (you can see a pad imprint on the disc) then it might need further break in procedures done. Let it fully cool between each run though, dont want to cook it. Thanks for the advise guys .... I tend not to use my brakes much .............. my original pads and discs lasted well over 50,000 miles ............this set was new about 6 months ago and I've had to use them a couple of times recently on the motorway at a lot higher speed than normal due to some idiots pulling out on me ............. it's not a bad sensation at all really ... just a very mild judder but I'd like to confirm it's not anything to worry about .......... fast cars need fast brakes

    Number plate

I've asked this before and the general consensus is that there will be no cooling issues unless you track your car
  14. Toolstation ............... that song .................and it's not even original

Why do you want one Tarmac? ........................or are you jesting
  16. Nice pics......thanks and that GT-R badge
  17. I had a 504 in that colour once (company car) ..... I hated it ..............looks on a Z though
  18. I don't want to hijack this thread but I've noticed a very slight shake on my Brembos (only noticeable at high speeds) since the cold weather. Is it possible that the icy conditions have caused a slight warp on the discs ?
  19. We oldies are quite capable of trashing a car ................................... but we wouldn't do it to a Z
  20. Common sense tells me that they have taken the adjustment out on one side only rather than on both track rod ends ...... a bit lazy if you ask me.......... It would p!ss me off too ................. take it back and ask them to do it properly so that the steering wheel is properly aligned ..
