  1. Adrian Flux have Keycare built in to their policies - and you get a special fob to put on your keyring (So if you just lose the keys somewhere there's a £10 reward to whoever hands them in or calls the 24hr number so if someone honest finds them you stand a better chance of getting them back.)
  2. I agree about the 10 year re-tests - but don't see any connection between age and ability. Of course the fact that I'm 58 has some bearing on this, but there's plenty on here who are heading up in the age stakes, but not necessarily diminishing in driving skills. There's plenty of young idiots as well as old fools - and plenty of very young people who have considerable skill. The age element is less important than the skill . . .
  3. If it's a JDM import. . . . .what do you call it when you rotate a plane around a central axis in a helix - you're screwed. Most import cars only come with a single key and the UK dealers can't code a blank as it's a different set (or something) . They can order one from Japan, but the cost was £399 (when I enquired about 4 years ago. Ouch.
  4. I'm Denton / Hyde, East Manchester - but I could load them in the Hilux truck and would be happy to drive up to an hour if that helps - it means anywhere Lancs or Cheshire I could deliver or meet with you -
  5. Colin Does it have to have 5 doors? I migrated to Infiniti Q60 - power plant is the same and it has 4 seats, though it's only 2 doors. 320 horses and goes very VERY well, and stops as well as it pulls - feels very civilised, and it's almost in the same family - Ian
  6. Thanks for the reminder about the spacer, mbs ! And - Brillomaster - "Don't tell KyleR that you removed the spare wheel from a 350z before PX'ing it... in a few weeks time a newbie will be posting 'just bought a 350z, but got stranded on the way home with a puncture because it didn't come with a spare wheel!'" I felt guilty when I did it but the salesman told me I didn't get a wheel in my Infiniti, and it was only when I got her home and looked in the boot - Spare Wheel! Just shows what salesmen tell you should be checked for accuracy before believing it.
  7. SOLD (Mods please LOCK) When I PX'd the 350Z I kept the space saver wheel - so have it here for sale. Looking for £50. Brand new, never been on the car (see the coloured lines around the tyre) so full tread Especially useful for the 370 owners who want something better than an aerosol can of whipped cream!
  8. Price reduced to £150 - really need the space in the garage!
  9. When I bought it off Zmanalex he said it was originally in a bumper with a lip, but I don't know what type. I didn't take the lip as I had enough trouble over speed bumps already as she's lowered, so didn't want it Zman probably still has the lip if you PM him
  10. I fitted 20mm on the front and 25mm on the rear and have had the tracking checked 3 times - once when I first fitted them and twice since then. I still suffered from higher wear on the inside edges of the fronts. Rears were OK. The reason I had the tracking checked twice since I put the spacers on was the 'advisory' on my last MOT about the wear, and the only thing I could put it down to was the spacers. I had a full alignment check done about 2 years ago when Abbey fitted the BC Racing coilovers, but that was before I put the spacers on, so pretty confident that everything was nigh on perfect before I added the spacers.
  11. Tow eye cover sold and boot carpet sold - Just the side bumper flashes and the MAF sensor left
  12. Kingrob - I'm east Manchester - but I've PM'd Daryl as he's ahead of you in the queue (subject to his OK on the cost of shipping to Aberdeen) Cheers Ian
  13. My beautiful girl is going in Part Ex tomorrow - so this thread can be closed down, as it's too late. If anyone wants her, I guess she'll be in infiniti Stockport for a day or so, so you could make them an offer, I suppose. (It's going to take a few days for my personal plate to be transferred off her - but probably no more than 4 days or so, perhaps the 6th October?)
  14. Beny88 payment came through so CF Engine cover gone
  15. Daryl Only just picked up your message - I'll get a price tomorrow and PM you Cheers Ian
  16. Pretty close to what DoogyRev said, though I'd already bought mine having loved them from afar for ages. I found the depth of knowledge which many people share to help others with stuff phenomenal - even after 5 years I'm still learning and still enjoy it I know that even after I join the ranks of Zedless ex-owners I'll still stay participating. (In my defence, I'm going to be an Infiniti owner so it's still sort-of in the family - OK, it's second cousin in the family but at least it's not a Jaaaag ! ) Oh - and I voted for 2 reasons i) To join a community of like minded individuals and ii) For help with the car / parts. It seemed to accept 2 marks! And finally - the community of like minded individuals: Bearing in mind how nuts some people on here seem to be, I'm proud to say I fit right in and the "Like Minded" bit is comfortingly true
  17. Oil filler cap and the light thingy will be on their way to Mudman tomorrow - sorry guys Tow Eye cover provisionally sold to DrMatt Banjy88 has dibs on the CF Engine cover, we gotta give him a coupla days, eh!
  18. Oil Filler cap & Light thingy provisionally sold to Mudman CF Engine cover provisionally sold to Benjy88
  19. Sorting out the bits left over from 5 years of Zedding and modification - a selection of parts below Front Bumper flashes (orange) (Note 1 of them has lost it's location pins) £6 the pair MAF Sensor (Bought off Zmanalex about 3 years ago but as the issues came from a mod to the exhaust - remapped her so never fitted this) £25 including postage
  20. New Photos added - and price reduced! Now only £200
  21. Edited this on 27th as I've taken the carbon fibre engine cover off to sell separately (Sorry about that!)
  22. I'm selling my 350Z Convertible and so here are my winter wheels as they're not needed any more They're JDM 17" fitted with Nankang SV2 Snow Tyres Wheels have a few marks and slight bubbling on 2 of them - but, Hey! They're winter wheels Tyres have about 6mm of tread, and I've found them very secure in even really grim conditions. Note, they are 17 x 225 and 235 by 45 profile, so you'll sit about 10mm lower than usual! There are no problems with the traction control unless you really REALLY feed her the beanz - but i) it's not advisable to do too much of that in winter and ii) according to Abbey Motorsport winter tyres (as they have big blocks) tend to move under heavy accelleration!
  23. I've sold my 350Z Convertible and have now also sold the winter wheels as they're not needed any more. Price reduced to £150 They're JDM 17" fitted with Nankang SV2 Snow Tyres Wheels have a few marks and slight bubbling on 2 of them - but, Hey! They're winter wheels Tyres have about 6mm of tread, and I've found them very secure in even really grim conditions. 24. Sold, guys, I'm afraid (well, Part Exed, anyway) and she's going tomorrow (Weds 1st October) I can't believe she's actually going - and I still think £7k was a really good price considering she still had the modifications on her - hey, the Coilovers were a grand, including the fitting on their own! I would have preferred her to go to a good home on here, but there you go. Mods - you can lock this thread if you like - It's with a heavy heart that I present to the forum, my Sunset 350Z Convertible, 2005, 74½k miles, FSH, in Great Condition. She's definitely the best car I've ever had, and I've lavished a lot of care and attention on her. (She's been washed more than any other of my cars - and spends her unattended time in a car-tent (Not quite a garage but keeps the sun and weather off her) The 74½k miles includes the first 8k of those as kilometers, so it's really only 72k! (She's a JDM and so 8000km in Japan!) She's been serviced regularly by Lockwood & Greenwood in Manchester, and I've always bought the oil so she's run on Titan Fuchs 5W30 all the time I've had her. I have a complete record of every penny I've spent on her - and there are quite a few mod bits as well. She's been remapped a total of 4 times, always at Abbey Motorsport at various stages through this list Plenum spacer Fully polished and chrome plated upper plenum Berks High Flow Catalysts Full Stainless exhaust (JapspeedK2) 20mm spacers on front, 25mm spacers on rear BC Racing coilovers Lowered about 15mm That's the core of the engineering improvements - cosmetically Zunsport Grille(This is my latest mod!) Carbon fibre slam panel Carbon fibre engine cover Carbon fibre battery and brake fill covers Full set orange Samco Hoses HKS air filter (in standard panel filter) Nickel plated bonnet catch a full set of orange anodised bolts and of course, the stubby aerial! I'm a great believer that this is a car, not just a work of art, and she's had : A day's outing at Oulton Park 2 weekends (total of 8 laps) on the Nurburgring A day's outing at Anglesey She's loved every minute of these. I do NOT burn away from traffic lights - at 58 I'm too old to be a boy racer, and hey, I don't need to prove anything, so most of my driving on UK roads has been at normal speeds. One time in Germany I took her to 160 mph - I can give you a copy of the video if you want! What I'm saying is - on occasion, she's been driven vigorously - but in the right circumstances, and only once every year or so - the rest of the time it's normal driving. Pictures below - note at the bottom there's a shot of some bubbling on a wheel - so I'm not tryomg tp hide stuff. Tyres are Goodyear Eagle F1s - there's about 4½mm of tread - she'll need new rubber in a few months, probably less than a year. On another thread I'm selling a set of 4 winter wheels (JDM 17") with Nankang SV2 Snow tyres on them - if you want to take the car and the wheels we could come up with a discount . . . . Now the pictures: I'm champing at the bit as I have an Infiniti Q60 sort-of lined up - if there's not much interest I'll probably just part ex her, but it would be better if she went to a good home on here . . . . . . Edited this on 27th as I've taken the carbon fibre engine cover off to sell separately
