  1. Great thread guys Pretty sure we've all seen some really bad situations. One of the worst round our way seems to be people too lazy to park in an official parking space at the village high street shops when going to the chip shop (great chippy though). Said chippy is right on the corner of the high street with double yellows outside and meets with a tee junction(priority from round the side of the chippy). A lot of people insist on parking on the double yellows - even when all of the parking spaces are empty, creating very poor visibility when coming round the corner. Being a through road to the next village this is also a bus route, if you're coming round the corner, you have to crawl round parked car/van/delivery truck to find yourself partly on the wrong side of the road with traffic coming at you full steam ahead Local council seems uninterested to make better parking arrangments or enforce better awareness of other road users, the local constabulary though do tend to issue a LOT of tickets. Rant over.

  5. Yep awesome aircraft. Last saw it fly at Cosford some years back now Its a national disgrace that at least one Concorde is still not flying just purely for airshow's or public displays The Concorde used effectively the same engine's as used on the Vulcan. Same engines just without the afterburner. Saw it as a kid (Leuchars Airshows) and again 2009 airshow. Never got off the runway due to "insurance issues" bt did some spectacular full throttle runs kinda puts the new eurofighter to shame.

  18. Hear what your saying guys Some people just shouldn't be on the road. The amount of 4x4 drivers here are a bit higher with being a bit "rural". Doesn't help when ppl are abandoning their cars 6 inches from the white lines - making it even more difficult for buses and gritters to get through the village. Watched some muppet the other day, on what was pretty much a sheet of ice, driving the main road through the village with her mobile glued to her ear

  22. +1 Too true Daood. Nearly every customer we had today said the same(in between asking if we had snow shovels/spades/sledges, after walking past about a dozen A3 posters telling them we have none in stock ).Finished work at 8pm walked over to Asda and as i was passing one of the plows was doing donuts in B&Qs car park Plow blade up and no grit being dispensed. Seemed almost like he was trying to build up mileage/time without actually doing the job. Wish i'd taken photos/video VERY poor show from Dundee council/Tayside contracts.
