  1. After seeing Jim's post about his drummer, remembered about this guy.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BsGvreobMw&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRqy34qjcv0&feature=related Jealous of talent? Me? No
  2. Well done Lexx, see you at the Hoon
  3. "If I knew what to do, I'd do it!" - Lost at 22... classic tune! Ugly (the album name BTW) just full of great tunes...but Lost is defo a fav. Only time seen them live was at Ozfest '98 down in Milton Keynes Bowl, had Whitfield Crane from Ugly Kid Joe singing. Wasn't too bad, but a big pair of boots to fill. Managed to pick up a signed copy of the "River Runs Again" Box set a while back during a trip to Amsterdam.
  4. Stew, our neighbour (the one from the BBQ last year after Knockhill) took the guys from the elise forum to some estate weekend in your neck of the woods last year. Clay pigeons, Paintball and Quading. It was all on the same estate, but can't remember the link . Will see if i can find it.
  5. Got to agree with the other half on her last post. Rolling Stones, Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Doors..... All helped in some way or another by drugs... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CqBONuW70Y Let's not forget the classic artists and musicians, most of them would have probably had a hand from Absinthe (banned throughout most of europe for the psychoactive ingredients until recent years) and/or Opium. I guess the point i'm making is that in one way or another in the "civilised" world almost everyone has been influenced by drugs

  8. I'd love to see Dream Theatre live! That was the Chaos in Motion tour. Portnoy had his custom mirage triple bass kit for that Best show was the Metropolis 2000 tour. They played Scenes from a Memory (for those who don't know the band/album - Rock Opera/play)from start to finish with a few extras at the end. http://www.mikeportnoy.com/interact/purplemonster.aspx
  9. Good find just reminded me of a song band/song i should have posted earlier
  10. Incubus are fab, met Brandon in Tower Records Glasgow about an hour before they played the Cathouse(and his hot ex), while they were touring for the first E.P. Soundgarden - gotta agree to a point about the Audioslave thing, but, they were still better than half the "artists" in the charts. Got a lot of the early stuff on vinyl inc Fopp/Screaming Life E.P. and Louder than Live promo copy(never got released over here). How you guys about Pitchshifter? Love everthing they done upto (including) the .com cd. Do any of you remember the thrash band Virus? My mate Coke just revived the band a few months ago and have been playing a lot down between the London and Brum areas.

  13. Just finished watching the DVD, inspired by - this thread , it's sunday , Vik still on her way home from her cousin's hen in London.
  14. Great band, got a cracked nose at the glagow Garage when they were touring for Built to Last. Agnostic Front done a geat gig about the same time. Satch is a guitar G3 played at the SECC a few years ago, was unable to go so as a bit gutted (line-up at the time was with Vai and John Petrucci), mate came back with perforated eardrum 'cause he'd been standing next to the P.A. and he felt it go when Satiani was holding a pinch harmonic during Flying In A Blue Dream
  15. The main road through our village has more craters than the moon So couldn't believe it a couple of months ago when the council sent out a crew to resurface a 2-300m section of pavement on a fairly steep bit of hill that no-one in the village uses meanwhile, even in the shed, driving in/out the village is like being on a rally course
  16. Big wuss Good to see someone help a member of the 'family'
  17. Sure some of the others will be able to point you in the direction of a good one or two
