  1. Welcome to the group. If you are interested in a soft top mine will be up for sale soon. Some pictures of the work done. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/67446-st519-converted-convertable/ 55 plate. 51800 miles at the moment, Had invidia, Berks HFC and mapped by Abbey, plus a few other things. Good luck with your search.

    Invidia vs Milltek

I have HFC and Invidia and it is almost as quiet as OEM when stationary once the car is warm. It is not loud at all. Yes you could hear something different and slightly louder when cruising but it is not loud at all if you keep it under 2k rpm. Otherwise I would change it as I hate those 'look at me, I am loud with cheap exhaust' sound.
  4. Love the look of it. Wouldn't mind getting one. Maybe just me, got a hint of a US muscle car.
  5. You can't drop the roof down if it is cold. Next time, make sure it is a sunny day and it needs the sun to warm it for a while in these sort of weather. I found mine won't work every time even if it is 10C
  6. Being an ex-EP3 owner if I am getting rid of the Zed I would go back to an EP3. Money in the pocket is better but that's just me.
  7. Spoke to Ewen 2 weeks ago, he answered very quickly and sorted out my very long shopping list and without any problems. He even offered to beat the quote that I had from others and saved me some money Will buy from him again, but hopefully not too soon... no money left
  8. Have you seen the delivery costs? 65 quid, wow..
  9. Just saw the thread, glad no one got hurt. Thank you very much for taking time to sort out my stuff with so much going on, much appreciated.

    350Z Car Cover

I am looking for one myself. I don't know if they have an ebay shop or not but this seller chartoneauto seems to say he is selling the same thing and cheaper. 99% feedback sounds ok. Still thinking about it...
  11. As above, I would stay away unless you are willing to do the necessary prep work. Don't think you will get a perfect fit.

    Green or white?

    Green looks surprisingly cool.
  13. There is a ditch on the A12 just after Kelverdon that has been there for a year, or more. They don't even bother fixing it. 2 buckled front already and a new tyre. Can't even drive around as it goes across the road. Maybe getting us to keep spending on repair will speed up the recovery. Good luck with the claim, if you don't ask you don't get.
  14. I was on the inside lane in my boring Black Mini D on my way to work. Did put my hand out for a wave but the windows were too dark to see who was in there. I think I saw the car before at RT, could be Taras's old car. Looked like Shine Front Bumper, CS rear with black mid section, black door handles and wheels. I quite fancy the front headlight, had to have a second look in the mirror because the shape was a Zed but the headlight was different.
  15. I think that looks great!!!
  16. My car did have a Nismo spoiler (copy) on and it was way too big, couldn't see a thing from the tiny window. For convertible I think something like this is perfect. My old spoiler will be up for sale soon, hopefully can do it this weekend. the nismo is too big for convertible, not sure about coupe. The blitz would do nicely for both in my opinion.
  17. When I changed mine (not at a dealer) I had the same problems. The metal is to do with them needing to drill the rivet? (Hope I got the correct term) to fit the new elastic band. They should remove the plastic cover on the end of the tube and clear them all out before handing it back. Mine is also tempermental after the change, they says it is because it is new so it is tight and will improve with use and temperature. I am waiting until it warms up before trying it again. You are not alone on this...
  18. You won't be disappointed Josh. The guys did a great job and the result exceeded my expectation by miles. So good that I just want to stand and admire the work rather than drive it around to pick up stone chips.
  19. I consider my roadster a man's car (even though it was my wife who insisted on getting a soft top) You didn't use to drive a Honda do you? Just checking from my civinfo days... You won't regret it, in fact my wife drives the car a lot of than me that says it all.
  20. A little bit late with a 'thank you' but since the car was checked-in for plastic surgery I didn't have time to drive it after picking it up on the 19th Jan. My car is a UK 55 plate Black Roadster, 45000 miles. It had HEL brake lines, 19 " Rota GTRs, Invidia G200 exhaust. Was booked in for the stage 1 upRev, velocity stack, plenum spacer, berks HFC. Also had the Hawks pads, Stoptech Discs, brake fluid change and 4 wheels alignment. The car felt completely different after the upgrade. The throttle is much more reponsive now which is great. The exhaust is slightly louder after fitting the HFC which is expected. It is more lively and the downshift is quite aggressive now with the engine revving more freely. The engine is ready to push when I downshift whereas before it needed some 'encouragement' to get ready for another push. When I swapped the alloys the front steering was really light but after the alignment everything is back as it should be. Never a fan with the standard brakes but since it won't last for a long time we decided it is better to get it done. It is much better and consistent. Mark even adjusted the annoyingly high hand brake for me (I forgotten about it) I have been to various 'Specialists' during my Honda days. One up North is good, a couple down south didn't really deliver the expected result even at 120 an hour. Don't think I will take my Zed anywhere else from now on. Great service. Kept in touch with Scott all the way through. Mark explained the work before and after + walk through the Dyno print out with me and also assure me the engine is not in bad shape, which is a peace of mind that you can't buy. Afterall, he has seen + tuned plenty of engines. It is good that I am not too close to Abbey, when I left there were 2 other Zeds there. He showed me the engine of the blue one with Turbo. I am not a fan of turbo so after speaking to him a bit more I ALMOST handed my credit card over and supercharged the car. That will probably lead to a divorce and sleeping in the Zed so I am glad that I am just close enough to do some work but far enough so that I won't end up doing everything there can be because they are just down the road
  21. I think it was a sliver Zed, UK car, without a number plate at the back on the outside lane. The driver was wearing sunglasses as far as I can tell.
