  1. Make sure the warranty covers everything. I bought one off a trader, first the soft top started leaking, then exhaust broke (it will happen sooner or later if it is standard), boot leaking plus numerious other problems (Within 3 months) and took £££ to fix. When I called the guy kept batted me back with wear and tear I can only leave a bad review on Google. I don't put too much on the Dealer service as the one at Ipswich replaced the brake fluid but only bled one of the hose. The usual remember to check air filter and oil to see if a service was done and not claimed to be done. If it is a P3 it is even better because it is 300+ with Nissan. At least 500 off on the price.
  2. Lower the windows slightly is a must, it happened to me before and the window rattles after that. Double check the terminal size as well UK battery got a thicker neck size. I got it wrong when I had my import before.
  3. Hi Mick, you must be the S3***. I thought about putting a spotted card on the windscreen but decided against it and try the forum instead. Will take a closer look tomorrow I rarely take my Zed to work due to the 80 miles return trip. If it do I normally park at the car park left of Gemini (from Orion). What a small world indeed, will drop you a msg next time I take the car to work.
  4. Are you around this area as well? I am not based in the Ipswich area but I work at Adastral Park. Was going to ask you about it on the other post but forgotten about it. The CS2000 username is making me think I am talking to an ex-Nortel guys
  5. Can't see the plate with me going the opposite side of the dual carriageway. Just checking if it is a member's car.
  6. I had a JDM before and the issues I had were: Radio - As above, you need a radio expander to get UK station. I don't know whether it can get all of them. It is quite cheap, looks like an extender for the aerial lead and you can fit in at the back of the HU. SAT NAV - The one I had got UK / Europe disc, just need to work out what the Jap button means. Battery - The JDM terminals on the car are smaller. The UK battery didn't fit as UK car got bigger terminals. You need to remember that. Not a problem getting 1 on the web but not sure you can get 1 from Halford. Car Tax band - Mine was 52 plate, but it was import in 2007 so it was high tax band, I think 400+. Dial - You don't need to change it, mine was the Jap one with the K blacked out and replaced with an M. Limit - Correct me if I got this wrong but there is a speed limiter on the JDM car. I can't remember what it was but an HKS defender was installed to remove it. It was on the 1 I bought. Version - it seems there are various different version over there but all UK car got Brembo? When it goes through the SVA everything should have been done to make it legal on UK road anyway. i.e. fog light, Speedo. I don't think owning a JDM is troublesome but I wish I knew some of the above before I got the car last time. I didn't help when the battery need changing and I tried to put a Halford one in only to find out the terminals are not right. So this time I got a UK Zed.
  7. Hi Chris, If you can't find your preferred colour, mine is coming off this week at RT performance at Brentford. It is black though. Simon
  8. I didn't see one in Chelmsford yesterday but saw a black one at RT around lunch time today. Lol It was nice to meet a fellow member. Simon
  9. Hi Glenn, I have a Y pipe. I live in Witham, let me know if you want to have it.
  10. I had an EP3 before and love it. I love the high revving K20 engine and it is very easily to drive. It is different sort of fun comparing to the Zed. The Zed is a car for grown up I felt i.e. you are not going to carry all your mates around town in it. It is not difficult to adjust because it is a nicely balanced car. The Civic needs a bit of steering adjustment mid corner as it is FWD but the Zed will just glide on the same corner if doing the same speed. It does feel less dramatic sometimes because the car is heavier and you are wrapped around it in with the long bonnet and lower driving position. I was thinking about getting my first S2000 or my second Zed. I chose the Zed because I don't think I can sit in the S2000 for more than an hour. Age catching up
  11. Welcome to the forum. As everyone said don't rush because you will regret it. I rushed into buying a roadster and now have to spend a fortune getting a new top, varies parts fell apart soon after I hand over the cash and as 'usual' nothing was covered under warranty (when you want to claim it). Now just found the boot is leaking as well... I found myself keep checking the oil level in case there is a problem with the engine, even after a few months I still do it. Took the fun out of the ownership...
  12. I would like a set in black. Please let me know the payment details. Thank you Tarmac
