  1. Josh, give me a list of you set up and what % is road work and what % is track work and I will give you a good set up. My set up will include ride heights as well.
  2. I doubt that will cause the issues your are having, Should be an easy fix once we see the car soon
  3. Thanks for your help Mark. Shame I'd ordered the sandwich plate this afternoon. Not to worry Think this is it? Bolt above the place the filter unit bolts too: Thats it
  4. If your running an oil cooler yes I turn this off. Main issue we find with this DTC trip is heat soak when you turn the car off. Also won't reset without a code reader even if the oil temp drops below 130deg C
  5. yes it is can be turned off with Uprev software thou
  6. There is a drilling in the sump that allows you to read oil temp , the DE motor has this blocked off the REV UP motors has oil temp trip calibrated in the stock ECU ( will put the car into limp if the oil temp gets to 130deg C) so it has an oil temp sensor fitted and wired into the ECU (see below picture) This will allow you to read OIL temp with out any extra take off plates or draining the oil on a DE motor Thread is M10 x 1 ( I think will double check)
  7. DE/REV up or HR Motor?
  8. Nicoclub stuff is awesome but remember they are also US cars so a lot of wiring stuff is different and multi plugs are different; The Motor is the same thou.
  9. What kit did you go for in the end?
  10. Non LSD JDM diff won't have any cooling fins. I seem to think even a LSD JDM diff doesn't have fins will need to do some hunting for info. Also doesn't have a jacking post. All UK cats had a viscous LSD diff casing is heavily finned with a jacking post. Some UK cars have plastic cooling duct that bolts on the rear diff some don't. I know the later HR cars don't have the cooling duct.
  11. You could try us @ Abbey Motorsport. Been tuning the 350Z for a while. Can sort on a Saturday as well. Cost is £402-00 Inc vat. Any questions ask away. Thanks
  12. You cant block the outlet/inlet from a oil cooler take off plate this will stop the oil flow and cause a major engine issue What you need is a gauge plate that allows oil pressure and oil temp takes off to be fitted; Like this http://imageshack.co...7062/iJiPSV.jpg if you just want oil temp , just remove the stock Nissan Oil temp sender and add your own sensor in this fitting and then turn off the Nissan oil temp sensor input with Uprev , this puts the car into limp @ around 130Deg C oil temp. If your fitting an oil cooler I would just remove the stock oil/water cooler assembly and join the 2 water pipes together. thanks
  13. Yep sat in the yard waiting for some work to be carried out; ;-)
  14. You cant compare roller to a hub dyno. Just come and run your car on our dyno Josh
  15. always full de-catted is better , I have a better understanding of the software now, far more powerful than the Uprev.
  16. wrong ratio , just loaded the correct ratio graph above , I had another cars base folder loaded; Numbers still all okay just divide hub torque by 4.780 as this car is a Auto and we run in 4th gear
  17. We have been using the ECuTek software on the Nissan 370Z for nearly 2 months now and getting some good results; We just converted over a Stillen SC car from Uprev to ECuTek , adding a IAT sensor after the Charge cooler to read true charged air temps so allowing us to trim ignition and fuel in relation to IAT and also adding a MAP sensor that reads boost to allow us to run Speed Density this allows us to tune around the Air flow meter reverberations we see on the Stillen kits. Also gives knock warning via EML light , multi maps , safety maps for IAT oil temp and low and high coolant temps. Traction control map as well which we are working on improving fromt he already excellent provided set up from EcuTek. Dyno plot below , car is still running stock Cats; Hub torque and Hub bhp;
  18. Darryl, how did you get on getting your car started?
  19. okay download this link https://uprev.com/up...s Installer.exe you may need to copy this and paste it into your browser; You then get a file in your program list like this; Open Osiris with you cable connected to the Laptop (not the car) you should see this then on your screen click on here circled in BLUE Then you should see the following This will show if you have a license on your cable? Thanks
  20. Turn the ignition on, DO NOT START THE CAR, put the car into gear, press the throttle the butterfly should open fully. If it doesn't there is a problem; I would say from our experience is the connector from the engine loom to the throttle body have a issue with a bad connection; If you remove the plug to the TB , gentle twist the MALE connectors so when you push the plug back on it make a better connection; removing the battery earth will reset the ECU.
  21. Presume running a fuel return system, larger injectors, colder plugs, have you also added a Uprev Air flow meter upgrade? If so the car has wetted the plugs up; Until you get a tune loaded into the ECU the car will be excessively rich. Pull the plugs , refit you old plugs and it should start ensure you warm the car right up before turning the car off. The removed plugs will require re-newing thou as soaked spark plugs never perform very well we have found even after being dried out; I can throw a Map in your ECU to get you running even if you want to go to Jez to have the tune. Thanks
  22. Did you open them while they where still connected to the engine loom? Or was they did connected?
  23. The coilovers should be able to raise the car back to stock height; We have a 370Z on BC that even at the highest height are still lower than a stock car the customer has issues with getting on his drive. most coil over shas shorter dampers to keep the damper travel reasonable length at a lower ride height. Any questions ask away. Thanks
  24. He was a chap that was well known on here when he had a 350Z; he worked for us at Abbey for a while and was very well known around the tuning world. He passed as away as a young age while working on his drive leaving a young family behind. Just organising a fun day out to raise a few pounds for his wife and young children.
  25. We have been organising a trackday with Gold Track on the SIlverstone GP circuit to remember the great Jamie Madden and to aid his young family in these hard time's after his passing; Will be a good day out and will also be good to help Jamies Family out. any questions ask away
