  1. That's a very nice interior, tbh i'm already researching seats ..the spending never ends..
  2. Good point, although i would likely impale myself - I'm not allowed pointy things unless accompanied by an adult
  3. I went for the zed fitment momo hub for now, i got a package deal at a good price. I wanted to get the wheel on the car first to get an idea of reach etc, then if the momo hub looks and feels naff i'll know what to do with regards to short hub / long hub, spacers etc.. i have no need for quick release personally, although they do look cool.
  4. Ok i did it, i ordered a momo tuner, like this one.. Had to stop myself from wanting the same wheel as Ian though as it looks very cool Should get it next week, i'll get some pics up once it's on

  6. You might want to see if it's delimited, top speed is limited to about 115mph iirc on JDM's. Tax might be higher too, depends on how it was tested when it was registered in the UK. You'd want to check the mileage i'd think, mine is in kilometers up untill it was converted, then in miles after that so it's not a simple matter of reading the numbers off the dials. Also, nearly all imports suffer a busted splitter when they are unloaded from the ship, if it was imported in a containter you won't have that problem, but worth paying close attension to the front end bodywork and shut lines etc. All i can think of right now, jdm's are very similar to UK's tbh, not 'huge' differences at all on these cars ed: Just thought, the ecu's run a slightly leaner map due to better fuel in Japan, you might want to check that it's been run on v-power or similar.
  7. Welcome to the forum.. I just started reading through the thread, couldn't help thinking 'Nixy will be along in a min to sort this one out' . There is a lengthy story behind the name fairlady, personally i specifically wanted a JDM import and i love the heritage of the car and the history of the fairlady's. Proud fairlady owner here too .
  8. Ha ha, I thought you might be along Ian Your wheel does look awesome, thanks for the advice. The stock wheel position is fine, just the diameter is too big - doesn't need to be much smaller either - made that mistake in my MR2. Yours looks spot on. How did you got about convincing the air bag light into staying off?
  9. On the way home today I made a decision. I've tried to get used to the stock steering wheel - but I don't like it so it's got to go - it's mostly just too big. I know I will lose the air bag too but I don't really care. Anyone got any after market wheel pics (I know of a few on here with nice wheels - pic whore opportunity ) and any advice on fitting please? Greatly appreciated as always
  10. Will look the nuts when the wheels go on
  11. Happy birthday to the man with the immaculate engine bay
  12. Thanks Ian, I only just got this on in time. I saw your car too - the install is very tidy . How is it running now you've done a few trips?
  13. Bet that is a very different animal now. Were those the figures you were hoping for Ian?
  14. porous castings are a pain to polish, the first one looks great though, pm sent
  15. I think if they're adjustable they will have a release valve on them, otherwise not. I discussed this witht he comany that provided my rear hatch struts. I'm not sure how much difference there is between a standard ally bonnet and a carbon fibre replacement with regards to weight, maybe they don't need to be less pressure:shrug:
  16. corrected Me too Couldn't resist though and now i can't stop.
  17. Thanks guys; BM - thats a very useful image with the sizes on BG - did your's come with the brackets similar to these? At 44 of my cheapest pounds that smells like a good deal if so . More so if the struts are good too
  18. Thankyou, i have contact the seller. Did the ones you bought fit well, and were they a good price?
