Yes That sounds like the noise I had before the banana shaped bar was replaced. They seem to wear about 60k miles although that would depend i guess on the road surface. If one side has gone the other will be soon after

We have had a awful lot of water here too Took the Z out yesterday and had a major problem I have the jwt fitted and was driving through sum standing water on a B road slowly about 20mph in second gear. After pulling away the car started spluttering and backfiring above 3000rpm. Scared the **** outa me as i thought it had sucked some in. I pulled in and hada look and the filter was soaked in water, let it sit idling for 20 mins and away it went again no harm done. all back to normal. I thought the jwt would have been high enough to avoid this but obviously not Looks like its back on with the stock airbox for the winter Just be carefull

Cheers Mike I had a read down through the guide--simples My query is that i think the adjuster is over compensating for anything i put in the boot (self levelling mechanism) Where is it automatically sensed from--I know the motors are working but does anyone know where the sensor that controls them is

I was told by a mechanic that some of the later oils ( fully synthetic) state that they exceed the specification of gl4 and 5. This does not however mean that they are compatible with each other and truth be told if nissan specify a gl4 then this is for a good reason. I was told that it is the specific additive used in gl5 that is the problem and that it will attack the brass syncro rings. Personally i would not use any oil that stated gl5 and i know at the time i carried out the oil change there were good gl4 oils available.

Hi all I was driving home last night and noticed my headlights were really not good. The beam was hitting the road approx 4m in front of the car I pulled over, turned the lights off and on again and they were at a higher level and then slowly appeared to drop down again. With HID lights the level seems to be adjusted automatically --where is this controlled from Other cars i have owned had a knob with 2 or 3 settings for headlight level--it seems mine has decided to adjust itself too low

Pete the wheel is in the house
mic-39 replied to Pete the wheel's topic in Introductions & Welcome Messages
Agree with what you have said. know a couple of guys have had the GTR's and mention the same problem--The car is tooooo perfect (your granny could drive it fast) They are now selling them for exactly the reason you say The zed IMHO is more a drivers car -
Brilliant I just spent 150 getting mine sprayed on saturday --yea black 2 free bump.........................
-
I assume you are talking about the wheel spacers. They will not affect your camber and if your tyres are already wearing to the inside i suspect a worn bush or some other element of the rear suspension. I have 25mm rear spacers fitted and do not have tyre wear issues OH in answer to your quest I fitted my own in about an hour just grab a mate to press the footbrake when you are tightening the fronts--makes life so much easier

For the weight of the car and the engine size economy isn't bad. Best I have had over 70 miles was 34mpg and that was really hardly touching the pedal at all and driving at about 45mph and usually i average 23-25 mpg
-
you got 10mpg--last track day i managed 8.3

Have you tried poking about with one of them telescopic magnet thingies before you dismantle too much
