  1. Having done a bit of reading up I've decided to take the plunge and get a DA polisher as above. My question is which kit to go for? Obviously I need pads and compounds that are not too aggressive due to the soft, thin paint on the zed. Was leaning towards the Sonus SFX stuff, anyone got any thoughts?
  2. I dont ave brembos, I'll see how they look on the car Any chance of exchanging them for a set with the correct offsets / tyre sizes? Seems like a better idea than having to resort to spacers to get them to fit properly!
  3. Proof, if it were needed, that it isn't a great idea to work on your car during twilight. I've misplaced one of the aluminium washers (more of a spacer really) that sits under the strut bar to give clearance over the plenum when you fit the Motordyne spacer. Does anyone have a spare knocking around? Thanks!
  4. Surely just benchpress it back up? Uuuutttttttttssss!
  5. Probably worth giving them a call and discussing your requirements.
  6. They should be available anywhere that you can get the Mocal cooler itself. I got mine from a bloke on eBay, but there are numerous places that do them. As for the size of cooler, there's obviously no harm in going larger - just make sure it will fit behind your bumper! I'm happy that 13 row will be sufficient for my application - I'm mounting an oil temp gauge to ensure I don't push it too hard.
  7. Will try and get a couple tomorrow. Have kept it higher than I would normally, just because I don't really fancy grounding out on a ramp on Sunday. It might be Lexx's ferry in fact!
  8. Fair one, but I need to be able to get on and off a ferry!
  9. Think I've sorted it! Must say a big thanks to CS and DCash5 for the assistance last night and this morning. My error was in the way I'd fitted the OEM top mounts to the new shocks. Managed to get the fronts raised a bit, which has brought the backs down a touch as well. I'm off to get everything bedded in now, then it'll be alignment time!
  10. I went for 13 row. I'd recommend a thermostatic sandwich plate as well. In our climate it's probably not a great idea to be cooling oil until it reaches working temp.
  11. Hmmm. Everything is now on, have been playing with height adjustment, only adjusting the springs doesn't seem to be having a great deal of effect and the front seems very low to me. Am I missing something?
  12. How many takes before you were happy with the nightwear scene?
  13. It was those alignment pins that had me confused. Turns out that if you use the slight flex/stretch in the rubber it fits over them quite nicely. Just need to adjust the rears and then I'm off for a play. Pics to follow...
  14. Shoot him a PM on here. Normally very quick to respond.
  15. Are they the Dutch guys who used that expanding foam stuff to kill the cameras?
  16. Anyone else have any idea, while I wait for the unbanning?
  17. As the topic suggests, am in the process of fitting a new set of coilovers. The instructions are not particularly clear and I'm unable to find a guide online that clearly shows what I'm after. What I have is this: Which is a new rear spring, along with the new top assembly (to adjust spring height - picture upside down ) and the original rubber mounts from the old spring - the cone shape from the top and the flatter one from the bottom. My questions! - The flat circular rubber 'washer' (the shiny new one in the picture). Where does it go? - The cone shaped rubber mount is junked, does the metal plate from the support mate right up to the car body without anything between? - The other rubber mount (the bottom one), is that retained? It's a perfect fit for the new spring so I'm assuming so. Any help would be much appreciated!
  18. Might be alright, however you don't really need a relocation kit and I reckon a thermostatic sandwich plate is a good idea. There's a guy on ebay who sells mocal kits, probably worth a look - not actually that expensive.
