  1. Ilkeston! Ahhh thats where i got my Zed from....good bunch of lads up there........sorry, i meant to say BUNCH OF USELESS TW@TS!! Mate, i'm surprised that they didnt destroy your wheel and then charge you for it! I'll be honest, I didn't let them touch anything. One of the sales assistant bods watched as I tried the various keys.
  2. trader on here removed mine after i lost my locking nuts, peeled a burr of aluminium off the rays with no apology or refund offered. I didn't kick up a fuss at the time though as they needed a refurb anyway, in hind sight I should have tbh Lesson learned; make sure they are willing to take responsibilty if they damage your wheels before they start. Good point!
  3. Is it true the R+R clock doesn't start ticking until you actually reach the UK now? Sounds like a much better system if it is! Keep safe and enjoy the break, your liver won't know what's hit it!
  4. No doubt mate! When are you back from the 'stan?
  5. Resolved! The garage weren't happy to have a crack at getting them of for fear of damaging the wheels. Headed over to the Nissan Dealer at Ilkeston, they had a master set of keys and I now have a replacement on order, should be in stock by the morning. Cost £17.
  6. Not seen that, but will have a dig through the paperwork in my folder! Thanks
  7. Looks good. How did you make it?
  8. It's a little independent tyre and brake place, so fingers crossed!
  9. I have a nasty feeling that my locking wheel nut key is lying somewhere on the road between Nurrish's house and mine. Will most garages have the kit to be able to whip them off without too much hassle? It's supposed to be going to the little place across the road to get the new rear discs put on in the morning, am I probably going to have to postpone until I can get this sorted?
  10. Sounds like a nice setup. Got any pictures? Any chance you could get him to post on here?
  11. No need to upgrade injectors unless going FI, as far as I know.
  12. Yes, FI = Forced Induction, NA = Naturally (or sometimes Normally) Aspirated. Again, uprating injectors will only be worth it for a FI build - more air being pushed in means you need more fuel as well. What setup was your friend running?
  13. Changing cams means a complete engine rebuild, probably not worth it for the cost unless you are changing pistons, rods, bearings, studs etc and going for a high power FI car.
  14. I think (based purely on what Alex was saying) that the actual Nismo ones (not just a sticker) are rated to work on a higher pressure system than the standard ones, whether this be a result of a different design or different materials.
  15. That's just a sticker, can't see it doing all that much!
  16. Good to meet you all too. Thanks to Andy for sorting my drop links and rear camber arms. Will be returning in the near future no doubt!
  17. I think Alex means that it is rated to a higher pressure.
  18. Have you tried over on the US forums? Lots of experience with them over there. Including Sharif, as Ian mentioned.
  19. I seem to remember when I was looking at it as an option that Mark at Abbey could tune it, but highly recommended UpRev over it. That was enough for me!
  20. Or, to be used on a stolen ZED to sell it? In which case do you want to post up the reg in a new thread to make potential purchasers aware? Might add to you being stopped more which is a downside but as long as you have an incident sheet from the local police with you that will mean you can quickly go your way I see what you mean Colin. Only thing is, if anyone were to do any kind of check on the registration it would return as not being available as it's not a regular registered plate. I'd like to think that would be enough to put anyone off or at least dig a bit deeper. I've got no objection to putting the reg up if you think it would be of help though.
  21. It would be interesting to know if anyone does get caught. I doubt it'd be easy to find out though, it's probably in contravention of someone's human rights...
  22. No military markings on them - they look like normal UK plates to all intents and purposes.
  23. Police have just been around, very efficient! They reckon it's pikeys after free fuel, so that's nice. Interestingly, the chances are I'll now be stopped several times over the next few months, as the plates will now be flagged on their database.
