100% open throttle? If it gives you quicker access to power, would there be any need/use for a throttle controller after having this done (I was thinking D1 spec) - or am I totally confusing things Nope no need for a throttle controller unless you want to be able to change the ammount of signal to the ECU from your pedal. I have a throttle controller.. its called my left foot! Throttle controller wont give your 100% throttle open either! You operate your throttle with your left foot? Just checking people are still awake!!! Its been known on a 500 mile drive though! Fair one.

AFAIK - the US sourced UTEC on my UK Zed with a Vortech SC works just fine. Sounds promising then!

Hmm. My UTEC should be arriving in a few days, along with a Vortech kit so I find all this a bit troubling! I've been tempted to look at UpRev as an alternative tuning solution anyway, this may push me further that way. Does anyone have a definitive answer as to whether a US UTEC will work on a UK car?

Hadn't thought of that. Just liked the idea of a nice clean finish with the gauges set in a panel. Might look into getting one made up.

Is Dynamat the best brand to go for? Is it worth the extra money over and above more generic sound-proofing material? I'm thinking of using it to dampen the sound that my Walbro is likely to make once I install it!
