  1. If memory serves it's a 16 or 17mm head. It's been a while since I had to look anything like this up though!
  2. Cheers. Any idea on thread diameter?
  3. Cheers mate. Do you know the actual size? Need to order a few!
  4. Don't really fancy crawling under the car in the snow to check this so thought I'd check if anyone knows the answer first! I'm trying to find out the dimensions of the bolts used on the Zed's exhaust. Are they the same for the headers to cats, cats to y pipe, y pipe to mid pipe and mid pipe to back box? Should any special type of bolt be used, eg is fully stainless ideal? Thanks for helping to keep me dry!
  5. Looking good mate. My kit should be arriving soon. Will be picking your brains no doubt!
  6. Bump! Would make a lovely Christmas Present!
  7. Bluetooth Phone Adapter out of my 04 Zed. No longer needed as I have upgraded the HU, now needs a new home! Just £65-00 inc P&P within the UK. Andy
  8. I take it there's no simple way to swap the ecu for a US or Jap one?
  9. Does that mean they are able to live map by UpRev in the US? Is it a case of transferring the tech to a UK ecu? I'm interested to see how this progresses!
  10. Would an UpRev/Piggyback combination work? I may well be getting this entirely wrong, but as I understand it the stock ecu (flashed to take into account different injectors etc) works best at lower revs, while a UTEC or similar can kick in once the boost comes on strong and can take over a lot of the control using its MAP sensor. The stock ECU doesn't have knock detection at high revs, while a UTEC has, and the UTEC also has switchable maps. Am I well off the mark here? Would be good to know as I'm awaiting the imminent arrival of a whole load of kit!
  11. I'm in Paderborn. Would definitely be up for a meet in the New Year.
  12. My kit should be arriving in the next couple of weeks. Getting nervous!
  13. +1 It's also worth noting that the cameras are not sign-posted and are often concealed. Some of the methods of hiding are actually pretty crafty - the ones that are actually hidden in the Armco spring to mind! It is starting to get pretty cold over here as well so be on the look out for icy patches. Oh, and there are no cats-eyes either!
  14. Thanks Scott, if I don't get any joy in the next couple of weeks I'll give you a shout.
  15. Hi All, I'm after a stock engine cover (the black plastic one that attaches over the front of the plenum) for a non-revup as I've managed to crack mine. Hopefully someone who's buying one of those smart new carbon ones doesn't have any need for their old one... Don't mind if it's tatty, just as long as it can be bolted in place. Thanks! A
  16. I'm currently with Mirascon. They're a US firm but I deal with a local broker. Quite a bit cheaper than anyone else I found but still considerably more than double the price back home. Anyway, good luck with getting those spacers on mate. As a last resort I'm sure you could find a Sapper more than willing to offer an 80% solution.
  17. Yeah, probably just shy of 150. Very un-nerving as the other drivers don't seem at all bothered about pulling out in front of you when you're tanking along Insurance is a bit of a nightmare for me. I reckon by the time I return to the UK next year it'll probably work put about even, taking into account savings through not paying tax and getting properly stung by the racket that is BFG approved insurance! The zed has proved to be an excellent long distance cruiser for the cross-europe trips though.
  18. Yeah, sailed through The tester spent most of his time chatting about the car - he wanted one! Currently enjoying the cheap fuel - Shell Racing V-Power for 70 cents a litre. I had our sqn tiffy put my k2 on. Cost a crate of stella which I thought very reasonable, especially given the hassle we had getting the stock unit off! Car was the fastest in the mess for a while, someone has just rocked up with an S6 though. Might have to do something about that Life in the far North going well?
  19. Surely there are some REME up there somewhere. Throw some beer their way and they'll happily do it all for you I'd imagine.
  20. I completely understand what you mean, but I suppose it's fair enough when there's a business to be run. A lot of people take the stuff they read on forums very seriously and will make decisions as to where to direct their business accordingly. You only have to look at the US forums to see the extent to which this can go - try looking up the 'Scott Bush' thread on my350z! If people have a specific issue with a company that they can't sort directly then a public forum may well be the place to bring about a resolution, however the disparaging of a company based on the experience of others should be viewed with a degree of scepticism, although that's not to say it isn't justified. In short I'm all up for calling out those who provide shoddy service - that's right and proper, however I think it only right that a business should be able to try defend themselves - the truth will generally out!
