    Spec?

You're not checking to see if you can fit a dog back there I hope!
  2. I've had this happen a couple of times, it's pretty cold over here in Germany. It always seems to be the driver's door rather than the passenger's. Normally takes about 10 minustes worth of running the car and liberal use of deicer to get it free. The comedy normally comes from trying to get into the driver's seat through the passenger's door. Not all that easy for the larger gentleman!
  3. I didn't know that. What are the actual sizes?
  4. I'm certainly not saying don't do it! Just that you should enter with your eyes wide open
  5. Looks nice but I'd certainly want to know who installed / tuned the kit etc.! Not trying to put a downer on it but there's pretty scant detail in the ad!
  6. In all honesty, and at the risk of being shot down in flames, there are a lot of good reasons why you shouldn't go FI with a Z. If you're looking for big power (particularly down the turbocharged route) it would make a lot more sense, both financially and in terms of reliability, to go for a car that was leaves the factory with that kind of kit installed and upgrade as needed from there. If the Z isn't quick enough for you, buy a quicker car! That said... I have a Vortech kit on order and will be installing it in the new year. I appreciate the above and fully expect to run into problems along the way, however half the fun for me is the project itself, as well as the ongoing maintenance required. If that doesn't put you off I would say go for it - but bear in mind there may well be dramas and that chasing big numbers will soon run up massive bills and may well leave you wondering why you didn't buy a faster car from the off. Just my 2 cents!
  7. Are you going to get a video of the first startup? Would make excellent viewing - get a bit of 'crowd reaction' in there as well! I've just found out there's going to be another delay on my kit, trying to exercise as much patience as I can but feeling a bit Best of luck!
  8. But a bit more helpful than the responses you're getting on the US forum, no? I'm really hlpful compared to those guys. I'm scared to post over there sometimes after some of the roastings I've had Yeah, it can be a pretty harsh environment! There does seem to be a lot of pent up anger released on unsuspecting newcomers!
  9. But a bit more helpful than the responses you're getting on the US forum, no?
  10. Thanks for the recommendations guys. I'm trying to keep costs down by getting hold of pre-worns. Rears shouldn't be too much of a drama since I think M3s use the same. I may just go and speak to some local garages when I'm back over there!
  11. That's true. Probably worth bearing in mind if you experience fuel pressure dramas when tuning though. Must be nearly done now?
  12. Here you go! http://cj-motorsports.com/342install.htm
  13. Yeah im using the walbro......i just stuck it in......seemed like thats all there was to it. That's encouraging! There's a whole thread on my350z dedicated to modifying stuff - something to do with the swirl can I think. I'll have a look for it!
  14. Are you using a Walbro pump? Did you modify the plastic carrier and drill out the port?
  15. Before I go trawling through German eBay (takes a while as my German leaves a lot to be desired) I thought I'd check if anyone on here has a set of winter-specific tyres, standard sizes, they no longer have need for. I only need them for the next three months so they can be pretty well worn! Thanks
  16. I bloody loves it! Fires so true. To be honest though, if it came to me using it, something would have gone VERY wrong. Good as a backup though. Still have a soft spot for the old Browning though... ...end of dull work chat.
  17. Apologies if this is a repost. Have been spending a while over on my350z.com of late, gleaning some top tips before I commence my FI build. Quite a different place from here - not quite so accepting of noob questions! Anyhow, not wishing to suggest that the US fraternity would live up to national stereotypes I came across this thread: Click Me I suggest we start a Tea & Scones picture thread immediately! (P.S. For what it's worth, I'm currently favouring the Sig P226. As that's what they let me have...)
  18. Fair one. Probably a good idea. (Scurries away to add that to the list )
  19. Pretty much i guess...just need to get the aam throttle body and aam oil pan spacer. Might through a catch can in there for good measure Are you running the oil pan spacer to get extra oil in there or are you using the ports as well?
  20. Not too difficult...just need to be very slow and careful Good to know! Had flashbacks of fitting a wet nitrous system to an old volvo - there can be quite a bit of pressure in those lines!!
  21. Intriguing! What was the rest of the present?
  22. Gleaming! Thank you so much mate!
