  1. Stunning reflections in the bonnet there. I'll second the opinion that those rims are some of the best OEM BMW offerings. I'd say the Z4 design is one of those few designs like the Audi TT that already looks perfectly finished where big spoilers and bodykits would actually detract from the elegance of the car. Definitely a car that would make me look back over my shoulder time and time again to admire it after parking up
  2. You've been truly fortunate to have experienced so many "driver's" cars. When you have time it would be great to hear your "compare and contrast" stories with regards to the 350z, BRZ, Porsche and MX5.
  3. My bad. Just checked. Ordered yesterday.......deal no longer available today
  4. https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/turtlewax-dry-shine-750ml-3893955?utm_source=mappshare&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=3893955&utm_campaign=2022-02-23 £3.49 at the moment! There was no stock locally for click and collect so I had to go for delivery. So I ordered FIVE bottles and a bottle of Seal and Shine coming to £26.49 to qualify for the "over £25 free p&p"
  5. Bagged yourself a nice one that's hardly ever been used in anger
  6. When I ordered my Zed in '05 and enquired about the 19" LMGT4s, they were a little over £3k as an option! Alas I had already ticked the Nismo Aero kit option and hit my £30k budget ceiling. I did however manage to save up for a set and in 2007 these arrived..... I would definitely recommend a refurb to the original finish as it's truly a finish that has no worthy rivals. Despite being 19's and wider than the standard Touring 18" rims, they weigh almost the same. I've had these on my zed all year round for 15 years and seen no cracks or buckles
  7. I love this photo. Firstly he looks cooler and more chilled out than Snoop Dogg after smoking a huge blunt. Secondly, I wouldn't have the balls to sit that close for the perfect portrait of that horned beast!
  8. Welcome to the OC. I've got an 05 and she does use a bit of oil now she's a bit older. I'd check the oil once a week after she's been left overnight. Get an idea if there is any oil consumption and how much.. For me I know mine uses about 500ml every 1000 miles so I reset the odometer and top up about 250ml every 500 miles. Any engine will not be happy without enough oil and simple checks like this will see you avoid tears later Run on 98/99 octane. If you get stuck with no choice but 95ron then keep the revs below 4500rpm until you can fill up with the good stuff. The engine can knock if revved high on 95ron and damage your engine. Check your tyres. If the previous owner has mixed tyres on front and rear, the zed will not handle as well as it should and can be a bit twitchy. Yes tyres are expensive, but in comparison to how much petrol they use it's not really a massive game changer in the overall running costs. Ps, your zed looks mighty fine, especially under the petrol station lights. I think the designers did this on purpose to lessen the pain when we fill up
  9. Whenever I have to get to the M6 from South Manchester, I'll always choose the less direct scenic route down the A535. Lovely sweeping roads with 50/60 limits that are more than adequate to enjoy the sound of the V6 flicking between 2nd and 3rd gear. Not me, but a random YouTube video of part of this road..... Although in a zed on an early Sunday morning it's more like this......
  10. Then there's the Mini's map reading light switch. Not manly at all. Another fingertip jobbie. No manly tapping it on and off like in the zed
  11. Compared to our R52 Mini, the horn and map light in the Zed are soooooo much more satisfying to use. Had a numpty at the lights Infront of me waiting to turn right at a junction. So engrossed fiddling with his phone he missed the entire filter right time slot and by the time I beeped him there was only time for him to turn as the lights turned to amber. Hitting the tiny horn button with my thumb just didn't convey the frustration I was feeling compared to a big bash on the Zeds central horn
  12. I think he just plonked it in the gap between the rear strut and the rear speakers. He didn't dismantle or remove anything. Only downside is the speakers are not hidden........or it could be a bonus if you don't live in too dodgey an area where it won't get robbed.
  13. I'd personally want some boot space. I met Andre'a Williams at a meet and really liked his FLI sub. From a distance with the boot closed it looked like a custom job, but it just plonks in snuggly. Not sure if he's on the OC but he's on the Tarmacsportz Facebook group.
  14. I've seen some off the shelf subs fit the zed. You want big bass......get a BIG BOX
  15. These are so gorgeous. And they are very photogenic too. Unlike the yellow 400Zs which many say "look better in the flesh" but look a bit wee-wee in photos
  16. 19" LMGT4s A set went for sale on the OC for around £600 not long ago!!!!!
  17. Congratulations on your new acquisition. Glad to see this Z4 found a good home. A guy down the road from me has a white one that appears very neglected. Every time I walk past I always think how glorious it would look without the faded and swirled paint, and charcoal coated rims
  18. Welcome to the OC. That's a properly slammed ride. You'll never need locking nuts on your rims coz nobody will be able to get to them once you've parked up
  19. Not sure myself. I've zoomed a shot to see if anyone else has an idea.
  20. I'm at a food court overlooking the car park. Looking amongst the cars thinking, not taking into account monetary value, are there any I'd swap my zed for🤔. Nope.......350z wins again
  21. Will be a sad day when it is decommissioned. Was hoping it would become The Alpha Intergalactic Space Station
  22. Welcome to the OC Glad you found your way onto here
