  1. Went in for a service and spotted your car.
  2. Another from me. A proper "chariot", Ben Hur aggresiveness. When your average motorists see that nose in the rear view it will be like the parting of the waves to let you through
  3. The red reflections in the paint set it off nicely too
  4. Parked up next to you at Cheetham Hill in a sunset coupe
  5. Love reading owner's mini tests like these. I will look out for your updates with interest. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences
  6. I've been traumatised by past events when 2yrs ago guy booted in my front door while i was away. Only turned over the hallway before neighbours disturbed them. Obvioudely looking for the zeds keys But a big to my neighbour. Most wouldn't do anything.
  7. Whenever I go away, even for just a weekend, and the Zed is home alone I get mega paranoid. Here's a few things I do out of fear. Leave the fuel tank low so TWOCER has to fill up soon and hopefuly get spotted at a gas station sooner Leave a similar but WRONG locking nut in ash tray. When going for the rims TWOCER spends longer in the dark trying to seat the locking nut instead of going straight to his nut remover tool. Car keys on sideboard (out of view of letterbox not to tempt fate) However the Nissan key is not for the zed and the disclock key is for a different one to that on the zeds wheel. Hopefully even more time spent fumbling around in the cockpit before resorting to wrecking thr dash to hotwire it. After all that, I only went and left the interior light on for 2 days while I went away to London Talk about a beacon alerting people to a zed left HOME ALONE
  8. I have spent many an evening trawling through the VQ oil analysis thread on th my350z.com site by RESOLUTE. This led me to use Mobil 1 0W40 as my oil of choice (£19.99 +vat for 4l at Costco) see link below if you are sad enough like me http://my350z.com/forum/engine-and-driv ... -info.html If you just want a quick summary of findings here is one quote from RESOLUTE/Will Resolute Registered User Join Date: Apr 2003 Location: @7000 ft Posts: 2,016 iTrader: (2) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quote: Originally Posted by Biochem7 can we use 0w-40 in the Z? Absolutely. Check the Oil Analysis sticky right below this one. M1 0W-40 is one of the best performing oils so far in the VQ. In that same thread, there is a list of manufacturer specs for various oil's viscosities. M1 0W-40 is included, and from that you can see it is a thin 40 weight, or a really thick 30 weight depending on how you look at it. Either way, it is not so thick as to be overkill or have adverse affects for NA use if that's your concern. Besides being one of the few oils to meet Porsche's standards for the GT cars, it is also one of the few to meet GM 4718M certification- the unique spec created by General Motors for Corvette oil. It’s a high-temperature requirement that tolerates less oxidation (thickening) and volatility (boil-off) on a standard engine test called Sequence 111E according to engineer Bob Olree of GM Powertrain. It is voluntary for oil companies to let their oil be tested for approval, so there are other oils not certified that would probably qualify, but M1 0W-40 is one of the few that sought the certification and that alone is a good sign of the quality of this oil for NA use. Will
  9. Castrol are a bit naughty. Looked at this in Costco and the label says fully synthetic "ENGINEERING" not fully synthetic oil Not all fully synthetic oils are the same either. So Tescos own brand Fully synthetic oil cannot be compared to Castrol Edge/Mobil 1/Motul etc. Saying that, I'm sure for normal use it won't kill the zed, just might be better stuff for similar money
  10. It's the green eyed monster in him/her.....take no notice. Once had some chavs stop next to me in traffic and spit on my car laughing. Totally unprovoked. Scum can be soooo brave when there's 5 in a car As far as the league currently stands I think that puts me in the lead
  11. Last pic is nice......shows yuor lovely lips off
  12. Sorry to hear about your woes. Interested in a Glanza? Get down to this meet at Trafford centre viewtopic.php?f=86&t=37285 I went to the last Glanza and co meet and there were loads in various states of tune Can't make this one coz i'm at a wedding. As for a Prelude any questions fire away. Bought a '93 plate 2.3 in '98 with 55k. Parted after 7yrs (to get the zed) with 130k on the clock mainly coz I had no AC (too compromising in summer) Really comfy sports seats. Lovely low seating position. Mine never missed a beat......just normal wear and tear. Even did the routine servicing myself and I'm rubbish with a spanner
  13. I think it highly unlikely bud. Even under warranty they try to wrangle out of a proper replacement with a regrease( which then failed again 3months out of warranty)
  14. If the zed has an upto date service history a P1 with new spark plugs. Mine is an 05 too and in for the same this year. P1, P2, P1, P3 and back to P1 on year 5. Ps I went for a P2 not P3 last year coz as said by others the service sheet shows no difference on the zed between P2/P3
  15. Apologies if it is a repost http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uLECuGK ... r_embedded
  16. Don't know why the apologies using the camera phone. I think the pics and colours still great
  17. those last pics make it look as if your zed is brand new
  18. Lovely backdrop. Bet you had a blast driving there and back
  19. Spotted a spotless white 370Z being parked very carefully by a loving owner. Also a parked up Azure 350z. Both were very clean examples. Was in the wife's car so didn't wave to the white zed for fear of looking
  20. After 3yrs CD was skipping. Used cassette adaptor for 2yrs. Now the cassette does same as yours. Tried everything, and 2 different adaptors BOSE NOW IN THE BIN New DAB unit installed yesturday
  21. Zmanalex recommends a Varta blue top. About £65 from a motorfactors. DUE to buy one myself next week.
  22. Lockwood and Greenwood Audenshaw Road Audenshaw Manchester M34 5PT 0161 301 5000 Ex Nissan garage, family run, now independant. Still get a Nissan stamp in your service book too
  23. Good job as always Can you reccommend a bug and tar remover other than Tardis(only available in mahoosive cans ) Bleedin greenflies seem to be attracted to the black roof of our mini. In the evenings they try to "mate" with their reflections, get stuck when condensation appears and die stuck there. Then the hot sun melts and bonds them on
