Depends on the type of car imo modified and classics are more popular on eBay, small runabouts on gumtree, general and newer cars on autotrader But as a general rule advertise where you would look yourself as that's where others will probably look as well I used to always use pistonheads for both advertising and searching but the amount of cars and variety now is pretty poor. They have under 150k cars where autotrader have 460k. I rarely hear anyone mention pistonheads now and when I do it's usually the long term members who swear by it. As proven by Dan

I found out it was a cat c when the Lexus garage said they wouldn't take it as a trade in. They use the full fat HPI and it came up immediately

Hi mate. Basically I bought a car from a used dealer who used Experian and motors.co.uk for his checks. The car was written off (cat C) 17 months prior to me buying it A court case later and much help from Dan, I'm now getting compensation When I made enquiries and gathered my evidence for the case, both Dan and other dealers who helped me said Experian was below par Not entirely sure what happened in the background with my case- could've have been an ongoing insurance battle which delayed it, could've been the dealer lying about the HPI check, I'm not sure. But with 3 people saying it was crap- that's good enough for me to avoid it Maybe Dan will share why he thinks they're crap, but if you use them regularly I hope you don't have the same issues we had

Me and Dan know all about this lol Don't use Experian- I found out the hard way. If you're spending a lot of hard earned pay the extra for a full HPI check

Time to let go of my mk2. Had big plans for it but looking to get a G35 project going now 1997, UK car, N/A. Just 61000 miles, rev 4, super red with black cloth interior. MOT March 2018. Standard car with only modification being upgraded 17" twin 5 spoke alloys. Electric windows and mirrors. Tilt sunroof. Kenwood face off stereo. Excellent condition, difficult to believe this is a 20 year old car. Bodywork, interior and drive are near perfect. 2 keys, service history. Brake calipers were upgraded last year No rust to be seen anywhere, sills and arches are spotless. Values starting to rise now so with this condition and mileage it should continue to rise Will add in more pics of the underside £3600
