Ah. What grade paper for carbon?

You must live in an upmarket 'rarther' posh area then unlike I do. They all talk the RP posh talk lingo by me but they're as common as I am really, just too snooty to admit it!

i have a bandsaw which does a good job, but something like a dremmel with a cutting head and a steady hand would probably do. How would you get a sexy smooth edge though, and not a cut flat edge that looks unfinished? I would want to achieve a smooth glossy finish on the edges that mirrors the surface.

Nice one, not looking bad at all for a first attempt or second attempt at that! See if you can show some pics of the edges when you've finished this one as that's where I'm concerned I may fkcu up. Really keen to get started on this as I could save so much of my vital beer money and make my car look extra sexy too.

I'd leave my car safely in my driveway behind the gates on stands with wood between the stands and my car, also with a trolley jack at the back and a standard jack on both sills at either side at the front. Alternatively if anything happens in the garage they'll have liability for it. Surely a garage would use a proper ramp and not stands anyway??

I've seen a couple of tutorials and read some stuff on moulding various shapes etc using carbon cloth and resin, but has anyone else done this with success? And what's getting me, is how do you finish the edge off to look smooth and neat after removing your piece from the mold and cutting the rough edges down to size? Any one??

Why do so many people come on here, buy,think,or wonder about buying a tuned, 2-seater, 3.5 six litre, rear wheel six speed sports coupe......... and then start minging about fuel consumption?? What do they expect?? Buy a Skoda TDi, or a Diesel Micra - or just get on with it!

I must confess that I 100% went to a dealership with my pen in my hand for an S200 in black or grey, more reliable than a boxster and with sleek looks to shoo the skirt off your woman, but.............. a lone twighlight grey 350z in the corner that needed a clean caught my eye, and after an hour and a half behind the wheel she was mine. Am I right in thinking that the 370 has less torque than the old 350? Isn't the 350 310nm or somewhere abouts?

I'll probably get an auto electrician or Nissan to fit me a barrel switch for this then. Not after taking any chances.

I wanted to know if I could turn the bag off to place a child seat on the car in the near future possibly The seat cover is purely to keep the cloth clean when I get in muddy from mountain biking, but didn't want the worst to happen and affect my airbags deploying. Also I'm a veggie so leather wouldn't be what I'm after cheers.
