  1. Englishman Irishman and a Scotsman pull off a bank job and are trying to escape the local fuzz. They dash down an alley behind a pub and all jump in a large wooden beer barrel each. The police charge down the alley and start kicking the barrels to see if the criminals are hiding in, behind, or near them. The first one has the englishman in it, and in a quick thinking response starts barking like a dog. Satisfied with this the police move onto the next barrel and start shaking it from side to side, the scot starts shrieking and meowing like a disturbed cat. This also satisfies the police that no criminal would be hiding here. The police move on to the final barrel that the irishman is hiding in and start beating the sides with their truncheons, the irish man does first thing that comes into his mind in a desperate attempt to evade jail and says..........'potatoes''''.
  2. FULLY synthetic, no exceptions. In my opinion worth the extra if you're keeping your car for the foreseeable future. Got mine changed the day I collected my Z, also get it done every six months/3000miles without fail. Engine lifeblood.
  3. Hopefully you're all Top Gear enthusiasts! Do you remember seeing the one that showed why most WRC drivers were Norwegian, due to their extensive driving lessons and test, including driving on ice, snow, excessive rain skid tuition etc etc. Get some of that here in the UK as mandatory for all new and existing motorists, and they'll stop winging about speed limits as the road safety records will improve. Then, they can increase those speed limits and steal money from our wallets in some other way like taxing cigs some more ! -well hopefully anyway.
  4. I'd go back to the garage and have a word. Even hand out a good deal of slapping. I hate it when people try to take advantage of you and rip you off. Very not cool.
  5. Nice one. Wouldn't be too hard to weld a couple of bars in between one of those, or simply bolt them together. I have however just stumbled across this and was pretty impressed!! You could just use your boot lid instead of your roof to avoid probs with your airbags deploying. http://www.handirackuk.com/default.asp
  6. Coolio. Impressive engineering there, but I'm not up for making any cuts into my bumper if poss. I've drawn a couple of ideas down scavenging old bars and carriers myself, for welding with my dad's welder, but can't seem to find any decent rubber feet like the ones on the boofsquire.
  7. Any one of you lot manufactured or bought a cycle carrying device to use with your Z? How much/where from?? Strange question I know as it's a coupe. But I like biking and fancied using my car for a change instead of my van. So I can feel cool. I have found these on the internet, but has anyone else bought one yet? http://boofsquire.com/index.html
  8. Right just been out and checked. My Hazard switch is behind the ash tray, and I do indeed have 3 silver rings on my heater controls. So am I a 276 with this in mind?
  9. Stew I'm confused - they both look the same?? I'm off outside now to take a gander at mine!!
  10. I know. Paid just under 22 grand for mine last year as it only had 10k on it and is like new, so paid maybe 1300 quid more than I should have. Never bothered me as I bought it as a keeper, and you can't take those miles back off the car. I got it valued for a part ex (missus wants to share a car to save on costs-but it has to have more seats) and she is worth 11 grand on a good day. Disappointment. With that in mind, definitely a keeper now.
  11. My car has a black ring. Hazard switch on the central watsit behind my gear lever.
  12. Sexellent. I am chuffed that I have the 'original' mk1 350. This way in years to come it'll be a classic for sure. might even go back up in value like the Datsun has!
  13. My car is a January 2006 Model (think that makes it a Mark 1), so what brake horse is she standard, is it 280 or 290? Not too important but would like to know. And does anyone know where I can get a Dyno done before and after mods in east/north yorkshire please?
  14. Ah. Might be less painful to get the garage to whip them in and out then rather than buy a tool I'll only use once.
  15. So would I 100% rub with the 25mm 's if I did go low in the future then?
  16. Ey up that looks mint! Did you get your springs from CS? Also to change your springs do you need an extraction/compression tool ??????? Do you get any 'sag' or rubbing from lowering by 20mm?
  17. Eibach is the brand, hubcentric is the fitment type... Gravel rash?? What brand are yours please? Any risk of fatigue on the spacers? Cheers,
  18. That sounds pretty good to me. Am I gonna get a nasty gravel rash up my doors with these from normal driving? I'd be looking at 25 front and rear. Are 'hubcentric' and 'eibach' brand names for the same thing? I don't have paypal, so how would I pay you for them, and it would be after next weekend too I should think. I'll send digsy a message to see if he has the pics then
  19. Are these spacers Hubcentric Eibach? And how much for 4 delivered please??? Also would really like to see an example/picture so I can drool a little
  20. Nice. Let me know if your buyer changes his mind.
  21. Took some advice from you lot regarding wheel spacers and picked up that I need Eibach hubcentric's at the 20mm mark. Are there any out there that exceed this depth? Really keen on keeping my standard 18" alloys as they suit the car pretty good I reckon, but I want my car to look double FAT. I assume that I'd need to get some longer wheel bolts to compensate, is this necessary for the 20mm spacers too?? Can it be done?
  22. Now then, have these gone yet? Also are longer wheel nuts/bolts required when fitting these spacers? Cheers.
