  1. I have a 2006 corsa van with some reasonable alloys on, and I keep my plastics shiny and black, this way I can still feel 'okay' driving this when my Z is at home as it serves a purpose as a van................. what you've bought is green and just wrong did you get a set of clippers with it Soon you'll be saying 'how nippy it is' No really, one of the best cars I had for this was a second car and it was a K-reg 1.1 rover metro, 1 previous owner , so standard it was dull, got keyed twice (no idea why) and I blew the head gasket on an airport run. But for leaving absolutely anywhere without worrying constantly it was the best. I never minded as it was a £450 car not a £30K one. I only sold her on as the floor it was too much to warrant a repair. Buy a special face hat whilst driving your girls car Good move.
  2. Going to Halfords in the week to park next to corsa/calibra crew. I'll try my best not to look at blue bonnet washer lights and silly tyre valve caps
  3. Barry, you've got a Gun Metal Zed, Twilight was '07 onwards... Thanks, now at at least I can be masculine and say my car is GUNMETAL instead of poxy twighlight!! Do you have a list of mods you provide for the 350 that you can pm me with prices, I'm not eager to use my credit card but may be very tempted if something shiny is in there. Also I haven't ruled your exhausts out, just can.t decide if I want looks, or loud?
  4. That's why I used T-cut first in back and forth motions to avoid machine polishing swirly nasties. Spent so long doing this and was completely fcuked off by the end of the day.Felt like climbing all over my car kicking and biting
  5. I've tried sticking a picture up of my car in my profile but the file is too big as I'm using quite a sexy camera. Any ideas on how to reduce the file size etc to load my personalisation up?
  6. No I live in a cul-de-sac and only one guy has the right of way past my house, he works on-line from home so no metal cutting. Ant I do is away from the house anyway. I wonder if this is some shite that's been stuck in the paint from the previous owner who owned her for her first year? Either way if I can't sort this out it's off to the bodyshop on my credit card for some expertise. And some high interest payments
  7. Any chance on getting any input to the colour this is re-sprayed? Also if re-sprayed already I'd like to see a photo of this. Cheers.
  8. wonder wtf this is then. Won't rub off or pick off with a nail soaked in polish? (finger nail not a steel one). What is this 'clay bar' then and is this available from any car shop?
  9. So how did you get on then? You got yourself a Nissan yet?
  10. The polish only highlights the small circles that are raised ever so slightly. You can see where the polish leaves marks/lines around them. No bubbles or lifting anywhere on my car. I'm probably being anal about it, but it definately looks like the early stages of surface corrosion, I put this down to lots and lots of surface gravel/stone chips etc. My car is only just over three years old so I shouldn't expect this at all! Mainly on the roof and bonnet and some more (but less) on the doors. And I have a tree in my front garden but it's a small one. Why is T-cut nasty? I thought it was for removing surface marks in your lacquer?
  11. Dont use t-cut on it mate use a clay bar over the whole car, sure it will remove most spots, dont forget to wax after polish T-Cut is bad
  12. If you have a scraping from your brakes as your pads are bare metal then you'll either need your discs grinding or replacing. Wouldn't be driving that if it was my car! Not going to be cheap.
  13. Absolutely. Doesn't even shift with T-cut metallic paint restorer. You can see small dark spots when you put your eyes up close.
  14. I should buy your tyres and pads through a trader on this site so you can benefit from some discount, and find a garage that will charge you on a labour basis only, otherwise they'll charge you a mark up on price at the garage. What makes you think you need discs also?
  15. I polished my car today for around 3-4 hours, so have been up close and personal with all sections. I noticed a horrendous amount of stone chips on my lower door panels, front and rear bumpers, and my bonnet. Not pleased. I always use a wash and wax with rust inhibitor or triple wax, and my car gets covered with a breathable cover frequently. What has upset me is that the entire car besides the plastic bumpers seems to have lots of tiny little rusty dots that I've only found after polishing the panels up. Every time I drag a cloth along a panel, the polish drags around a tiny spec of rust and leaves a little mark that I chase with the cloth! Is this common on the 350 ? As I am completely un-impressed. Certainly be contacting Nissan on Monday
  16. Really been unsure about putting a big hole in my front bumper, but today I thought I just might, and see that you've sold out anyway. I'll have to purchase from somewhere else unfortunately. Does your engine bay fill with dust after fitting one of these, and does your filter end up full of bee's and wasp's? Cheers.
  17. Look good. Is it possible to stitch a hole in the drivers mat (as like the original) to place on the drivers chair floor clip to avoid the mat skidding forward under braking?
  18. I had an FQ300 at 324bhp, and it was mental. Quicker than my bike. People used to move aside when I came storming up. Intimidating car and a right class handful to drive! Oh the people I upset In my Z it's far slower but more pleasing to drive, sounds awesome, and so many people look and comment on it, never got this attention in my evo. Plus now you are driving a sexy car, people will be less likely to expect you listen to hardcore and are a ****. Also even after a year of ownership I still twitch the curtains back to take a peek at my shiny toy. Enjoy. Won't be long before you start modding it I reckon.
  19. Looking good dude. Seems that your mods added a little prior to the mapping. What did you have to pay for that then? Get any club discount?
  20. Hmmm, that's odd... I'm 35 and have declared my mods (CF Bonnet, CF lip and wheels) and pay £600 fully comp, if I recall correctly I have 6 or 7 years NCB (protected) and more points than you. Mine is a '04 UK Coupe tho, so that prolly plays a factor. I'm in my 1ate twenties, have a JWT and some 20" a11oys and I pay £540 fu11y comp 6 years protected. Oh....... and I have 9 points Some of never 1earn. Beware the motorbike 1icense. Seems someone is having their pants pu11ed down.
  21. Stop throwing a11 of these options at me confused now! How many mi1es has your spacer and p1enum covered? And cou1d you pm me your price for these. I haven't ru1ed out your carbon p1enum yet, wou1d need to contact my insurance though if I did that. Any ideas on timesca1es for your carbon operation? Cheers.
