  1. A small selection on show, the rest available (i think!) via my photobucket slideshow. Some pics look great, others pants. Blame the weather and the 4 year old Casio stills camera doh! PhotoBucket slideshow: http://s286.photobuc...show/Wales_2014
  2. Videos for now: http://www.350z-uk.c...lydia-videos/ Pics will follow later this week hopefully. Great weekend as always! Many thanks to the organisers of yet another top event. Ken - I still haven't found my engine mate. The front bonnet just has a hole under it....where did you put it?
  3. Cheeky link to my thread in the 'Media' section: http://www.350z-uk.c...lydia-videos/ Videos came out pretty well considering it was freezing, wet, windy lol! About 35mins of footage that I've quickly lumped together. Hope i caught everyone at least once in the footage. Bob and Adrian - your cars sound so loud they were noisier over half a mile away than the cars driving past me when i filmed at the Horshoe Pass We'll get the stills sorted next that Lydia took soon too.
  4. Here ya go: Open this in YouTube directly NOT on this thread. Select 1080p. YT has killed some of the quality, but the sounds remain .... erm, .... loud! (Bob and Adrian especially!) :O) It was wet, windy and cold, but the videos are pretty good in places. They are in chronological order so Satdee, then Sundee AM and PM drives. Cheers
  5. Bouncing down for the past hour or so here in Wrexham We've had some more rain but its just light stuff. Pete I'm sure it won't be raining in the bar when you buy the first round mate
  6. Dammit it's raining loads.... really wish i had a car with some-kind-of German 4-wheel-drive system that sends 95% of the power to the rear wheels, but then sends up to 40% to the fronts when traction becomes a problem. If i had a car like that i'd offer to be an official camera-car for the 2014 Wales weekend... Hey ho! Should be at Moreton about 3pm i reckon on the 23rd. Anyone else rocking up in the afternoon?
  7. Thanks for the map details Graham! I can't seem to get the Saturday drive route to load in Google Maps though - just comes back with a big map of the UK (the other two work perfectly). Am i missing something, or is there a bug with the Saturday goo.gl/xxx.xxx.xx etc link?

  9. ello! Spotted you while i was out in the silver Porker. Had to do a double-take and slow down as we went past the petrol station you were pulling out of. Still looks fantastic that Zed! Gave you a flash of hazards as i turned off at Grantham. Always great to see a club car still going strong.
  10. *BUMP* currently more prizes than ticket holders i think! Come on you lot, buy some ruddy tickets! I've got a bloody VW Beetle but I've bought some

  12. Can't recommend a 996T. Awful cars. *ahem*
  13. Regarding the TVR: mechanical issues aside (a well looked after TVR will be perfectly ok im sure)..... what happens when you lose control and slam into a tree even at relavtively low speed? Take a look on the net, there are some sites that show the chassis of the Tuscan etc. It's essentially a 1980s tubular steel frame. With fibre glass bodypanels. And thats it. No air bags. No ABS. No traction control. No stability control. No crumple zones. No impact/slam panels. As a drivers car a modern TVR is it's the pinnacle of everything that a 'Drivers car' should be. Responsive. Alive. Demanding. Engaging. They are the perfect Sports Car until you get it wrong....and you will. The problem is, when you DO get it wrong they offer nothing in the way of driver/passenger safety. Best suited to a race-track, not the unpredictable UK weather and road conditions IMO. 370z.... now that's a good mix of power, looks, and 5* safety compared to a TVR. And i think the 370 is decidedly cheaper than a decent Tuscan too!
  14. I'll go in the group with Marzman and Ekona.....ah, hang on a sec..... Very good idea this Graham. Sounds like two lists are needed: 1 - The S/C Group (AKA "Did you pass any low flying planes?") 2 - The slow and more scenic group Everyone else can be divvied up into the 'middle' Fast Road groups once these two are sorted, making it easier for you to arrange the 4-5 groups. (This must be German logic..... schnell schnell! Graham ist verloren!) Me and Lydia will go first to get to a decent spot for pics - just make sure i have at least a 2 minute head-start on the S/C lot
  15. Just a quick update: 2,000 miles in less than 6 weeks lol! I'm slowly coming to terms with the fact that the car is 10 years old and needs 'bits' doing. Got my local Chips Away bloke out next week to sort some bumper scuffs and a small patch of laquer on the wing that's going (stone chipped) - thankfully the car is the standard Porsche Arctic Silver so they can mix up the official Porsche paint easily enough (the pearl effect ones are far harder). I've also just about got used to the interior of the car....and the laughable 'Car Phone' (think 1980's Miami Vice!) She still needs to be clay barred again (last owner didn't really do much in that department!). Also need to polish and wax her...but she's getting there cosmetically. I've replaced the Bose amp with a second-hand one after the subs started to play up. I'm also getting the front sway-bar arms replaced next week (slight clunk from the front over bad tarmac). Nothing costly yet thankfully. No coolant loss, and only used 500ml of oil in 2000 miles which is well within Porsche's recommended limit of 1000ml per 750 miles for the Mezger turbo engine lol!
  16. 996T is bonkers when it's on boost. Just doesn't want to stop accelerating (and mine is the standard 414bhp version, mapped to 500+ bhp they are apparently planes without wings). Off boost it's pretty sensible (ie 370z speed and fuel consumption). BUT you have to live with the fact that it's a ten year old car, interior is a bit naff, etc etc. On the plus side, someone originally paid nearly 90k for the car that's sat in my garage now.....and it wasn't me
  17. On a slightly more serious note......has anyone got the 1:1 Scale Map of Wales ordered for Graham yet? I think Mrs Keyser was sorting that out?
  18. Wow, what a car! Love the colour...and talk about 'exclusive'. I've NEVER seen one of these on the road.
  19. Sunday afternoon about 1.30pm. Black tinted windows but otherwise standard 370 Zed i think. You came past my silver 911 and then proceeded to disappear into the distance! I think you turned off at the A515 slip (Ashbourne/Sudbury) Very aggressive looking car in black, especially in my rear-view mirror! Dropped my window to hear the V6 as you came past but i think the exhaust was standard
  20. Hang on.... I know Ferris Bueller once said: "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop to take a look around once in a while, you'll miss it" But..... are you really selling the 370 already!?! I know i'm not the most devoted forum user but bloody hell, i thought you had only just bought it?
  21. 01 - 25 - Bockaaarck 26 - 30 - Grundy225 31 - 80 - octet 81 - 105 - HaydnH 106 - 115 - Tigerzed 116 - 140 - Bockaaarck 141 - 150 - FLEX 151 - 175 - SuperStu 176 - 200 - Andyvvc In the event that myself and Lydia win *anything* that needs a Zed....we'll either drop the prize back into the prize-pool, or do a quick auction for whatever we've won (monies going to the charity)
