  1. *BUMP* - the car will be getting some new MIchelin Super Sport boots later this week. This will probably mean i end up keeping the car after bedding the MPSS's in
  2. *Bump* - going onto PistonHeads this week. Not certain what I'm buying to replace her yet lol!
  3. But the quicker you get the 370 the quicker Lydia gets a 350 . Lydia already drives her little Mini Cooper like it's a 350!
  4. Me and Jay have chatted about this over PM. Just need to find a date this month/next month when we are both free to complete the deal. No rush, it's not like my 350 is terrible to drive in the meantime
  5. I'm sure something will be confirmed in the next few weeks. Neither myself nor Jay are desperate to complete this asap. "All Good Things..."
  6. I believe i may have already caught this 370z bus earlier in the week
  7. ...slight change of plan. Anyone sell drop in panel filters for 370's?
  8. Did Chris S sell his Zed to Darren then? Honestly the stuff that happens on this forum should be turned into a TV Soap! Mind you, I'm not at all keen on the 370z in general.....don't think i will be going that route after the 350z sells........
  9. No oil useage at all so far (except when i get it changed...uses 4.7litres then) Was it the RevUp engines that suffered a lot with that, or do some DE and HR (none RevUp) engines use oil too?
  10. It was on 41k when i bought her, just shy of 4 years old. So I've added 30k in the last (almost) three years, all totally trouble-free. The previous Blade Silver Zed that i had I sold when she hit 106k miles. And i think Doc350 got to over 170,000 on the original engine in his car before he sold it? Good lumps these VQDE jobbies
  11. Hi all, Here is my 2007 Nissan 350z which is for sale: EDIT - Full set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres have arrived at my local garage. Due to be fitted this week, thus the car will have brand-new tyres all round. I am only the second owner of the car, with fully documented history not only on garage receipts, but also on the 350z-uk.com website. The original owner bought the car from new in June 2007. He was an active member of the Nissan Sport z website where the life of the car before my ownership can also be seen. The pedigree of this car is second-to-none, owned from first registration by two Nissan 350z club members (myself and the first owner). I bought the car in March 2011 after seeing the sale advert on Nissan Sport z website! The car wants for nothing service-wise, and has had a new clutch and lightweight flywheel fitted in mid 2013. Spark plugs were changed at 54k miles, and the oil is changed every 6k miles (well ahead of the Nissan schedule). Brake fluid, gearbox fluid and coolant have all been replaced in the last few years – gearbox fluid having been replaced again in 2013 when the clutch was done. All work fully documented and receipted from the either specialist garages or Ni$$an themselves. As you can see from the pictures, the car comes with the very rare (and expensive factory option) Nismo LMGT4 19†alloy wheels, and the equally rare Midnight Blue paintwork, which looks brilliant in sunlight and menacing in the dark – quite a contrast! The Nismo alloys are a factory-spec option and therefore should not cost you anything extra to insure (I’m with Adrian Flux and they are simply ‘declared’ with no additional insurance cost because they are factory options not third party) The car comes with all three original keys (2x ignition keys and fob, 1x interior valet key to lock the cubby behind the passenger seat) In its lifetime the car has been only mildy modified. The OEM intakes (which will come with the car) have been replaced by Stillen Gen 1 intakes. These merely replace the OEM panels and filter housings with slightly larger Stillen housing and K&N cones. The fit is otherwise as standard. The car has also benefitted from a Stillen exhaust Y pipe (much like the essential upgrade on the GTR) and also boasts a gorgeous Greddy Spectrum Elite back-box with blue burnt-tip pipes. These really suit the colour of the car. The Greddy is a rare fitment in the UK and I have yet to find another 350z with one. The car is lowered very slightly on TEIN springs (10mm front, 14mm rear) and camber/wheel alignments remain well within tolerance when the car’s alignment is done. (Typically geo’d once a year or sooner if potholes get bad in winter months) The car has genuine Nissan carpet mats, and a custom ‘Z’ logo’d vertical tonneau cover underneath the rear strut brace (this separates the boot compartments and helps to reduce road noise. It also looks very nice!). Other than stone chips to the front and a few light scratches after 70k miles, the car is otherwise in lovely condition. The interior is also in great condition and doesn’t at all look like a car has covered 71,500 miles (actually slightly less than average mileage for her age). The LMGT4 alloys are in good condition but are in need of a refurb – especially on the rears where the winter months have removed most of the laquer. Genuine 996 Turbo/370z Nismo reason for sale :O) You will not find a nicer looking 350z with this level of history anywhere else. Any inspection welcome. PICS: http://www.350z-uk.c...ue-mini-detail/ http://www.350z-uk.c...issington-hall/ PRICE: I'm asking £10,500 which i think is very reasonable for such a unique coloured Zed, complete with Nismo LMGT4 alloys and other mild upgrades (priced with the refurb of the LMGT4’s in mind) Thanks
  12. Nothing to see here....move along...move along *ahem* [Andy crosses fingers that the Bank Manager is in a good mood]
  13. Nothing is smooth when Adrian drives Sent from the golf club... This might help? "Smooth Turquoise".... http://www.bodyofart.com/explore/gallery/fantastic-forms-and-colours/20031/
  14. 2009/2010 models at the moment Will. Low mileage cars tho, but perhaps it is an age/exposure to sunlight/weathering thing that exacerbates the colour match issue on some cars? (In addition to the plastic/metal paint-from-factory issue)
  15. To be fair you are normally hooning away from me on the drives so i only get to see the back of your 370 on the road (it does like good tho, and sounds lovely with the Stillen) I really didn't notice any dis-colouring on your bumpers, and i was up-close with your car when we were washing them in Wales last year. I can only assume any dis-colouration on your car is minimal Colin compared to others? (I'll be looking VERY closely in May!)
  16. Not been hiding....just been working too much these last few months, barely had time to wash the Zed much less drive it *sigh* We did manage to move house tho! Zed fits in the garage now (im going to paint the garage door Turquoise and see if I get sued by Octet) EDIT - this was in response to Darren-B's post....but the 'quote' option didn't work doh! BTW Adrian - how is the 7AT? Is it smooth when shifting at speed or a little clunky? (Not that i'm looking at 370s or anything......)
  17. Just skim-read this thread. The car looks absolutely bloody stunning! Very impressive and (by the sounds of things) not even finished yet! Needs some Turquiose somethere tho...
  18. Can anyone confirm what the warranty is with a 370z in terms of the paint? I've looked at three 370s recently, and they had noticeably (to my eyes) poorer paint colour on the front and rear bumpers compared to the 'metal' parts of the car. None were due to accident damage. It looks like the paint finish in some colours looks slightly 'off' on the bumpers...? Pearl white, Solid red and Black rose are what i've looked at - all three looked slightly 'off' (white and red being more obvious) Have to confess neither Colin nor Will's cars look like this. Is it an issue across the board, or are some 370s worse than others for bumper colour matching? I'm guessing that it would be too late to expect Ni$$an to rectify badly coloured bumpers when buying a 2009/2010 Zed? Or am i wrong, is there a warranty for the paint finish? Would that extend to discolouration of bumpers?
  19. Without modifications mainstream insurers like Admiral/Churchill will insure me for between £320 - £400 fully comp, protected no claims etc etc. However, declare the modifications and these shoot up quite a bit. I've recently dropped Flux after yet another stupid renewal quote, and have gone back to A-Plan - £438 fully comp, protected no claims, mods declared, like-for-like courtesy car, legal cover etc. I assume the 'like-for-like' will end up being a 3.2 Audi TT not another Zed...but it'll be a nice set of wheels in the event something awful happens to the Zed. EDIT - 37, 12 years NCD
  20. The two MAFs arrived at work on Tuesday, cheers Lee! Will be fitting them at the weekend.
  21. Looking forward to seeing your new zed at this meet Waaaait a minute? Another Midnight Blue Zed? That makes two of us this year?
  22. It's not weird Andy, I created the thread on the 4th and it's been hidden until this evening while I finalised all the links etc. When I unhid it it still retained it's original creation date, I can't comment about the Castle Coombe thread though That explains it then. For a minute i thought the Twilight Zone had something to do with it...or your SatNav Can we all please spare a thought for poor Eileen at the Moreton, who has been run off her feet these last 60 minutes thanks to all us nutters making panicked phonecalls to book rooms
