Later on you can get those fancy covered trailers so you can put loads of 350Z-UK.COM stickers on the side of it!
my idea was to get a 3.5 ton transporter and fabricate a cover for it as I will use it to do some work on the car as well as transport it.
with regards to the stickers I think I will need huuuuuuuuge ones. trouble is people will expect to see a pink Zed coming out of that transporter
the offset is the measurement from the surface that mounts to the hub to the centre of the wheel, see it as a width measurement.
Hope this illustration helps
Great diagram I never understood offsets myself but its a bit clearer what everyone is going on about now
+ 1. finally
Would it be possible to bore out inside and place to lead near the top? I think that would give it a nice throw. I should have taken my Nismo one off to show you, but it seems to be weighted up towards the top of the knob:
+ 1
For example, if you wanted to FI your Z in the future, you'd be making the wrong choice to start with.
thats interesting, What issues does the HR engine have with FI?
I think you can get the nismo body kit cheaper than that. not long ago there was on offer here and from memory it was on for £1300 or something close to that.
dont know about the prices for new nismo exhaust but there is nothing wrong with getting a second hand one for half that money
this have to be though carefully guys.
I have an 05 roadster and I'm not tempted by the slightest to upgrade to the new 370z. I think many of the 350z owners are sticking to the VQ35 rather than upgrading to the 370z. you also need to take into consideration the tax rise that jerry mentioned.
If you look closely at the sports car market I dont think the prices are going down as quick as they were few months ago and people are talking about prices picking up now.
its any bodys guess but I think if you find the right car for the right price and you know your keeping it then you should go for it.
best of luck to all you Zed hopefuls
The 3.5 Tonners are generally Transit based or VW transporter based - go for the VW version more likely to survive longer than 5 minutes! The one I used was a Mitsubishi 7.5 Tonne Beavertail. Mitsubishi- seem to be quite common and very good (fast - well up to 55 anyway!)
There is a company in London that hire the 3.5 Tonners out maybe they have second hand ones - look on google for 3.5 tonne car transporter- but its best to look for beavertail - thats the name of that type of rear platform ...ooh I'm a sad git!
there is nothing sad about it mate
this would be a track car transporter. Ideally with a crew cab so I can keep tools and stuff in there
this Zed is as clean as one could possibly get. top bloke and top car. will be sad to see it go. I've seen it many time and convoyed with keith to few meets as well. best of luck
