  1. I am very disappointed keith. I was painting the picture of few roundabouts on the way
  2. Well priced so Even with a base tune my went from 265 (fly) to 300 (fly) so if you could option out on the actual tune and have a price maybe for the ECU only and one with tune? (since tune is more soft cost then hard cost) Would be cool to have it running over 1 weekend... some meet 20 pre and after dyno's of da Z'z... how long have you had yours mate? any issues to report? where did you get it tuned? it does have a base Haltech map already isnt it?
  3. it is the The Platinum Pro 350Z haltech ECU. check the web site http://www.haltech.com/index.php?option ... &Itemid=78 haltech RRP $2600
  4. the worst kit I have ever seen
  5. +1 ? nice guys to be honest. top service I would say. I staid at the garage for the whole 4 hours or so and didnt get bored at all. they really love there cars down there. shame they'r more inti honda's and evo's that the fiesty Zed work done nicely but they could do with more experience with the Zed I would say. not cheep though
  6. not sure of the automatic gearbox tbh. I got mine done last week (manual gearbox). there are to bolts you need remove (with a hex key I think). one is at the bottom of the gearbox and the other one is on the right side of the gearbox casing. you remove both to drain the oil out completely. then bolt the bottom one back on again. you fill the gearbox oil from the side. fill it till it start to spill out as the side bolt opening is at the required oil level. before you try doing any of that confirm with someone on here or your dealer that the auto gearbox has a similar set up to the manual. may I also suggest you get a service manual. I have a similar project car and the service manual is great help. just make sure you get the manual thats relevant to the UK. good luck
  7. Glad you made it home safe marky. I did actually see the car of completely off the tarmac at one stage looking through my rear view mirror. Sorry for the unfortunate incident again and pray the insurance company don’t write such a lovely Zed off. As mark said, if you need a hand with anything just give us a shout mate. Hope to see your car on the road soon. also get your mate to join the forum, great guy
  8. Great meet and was nice to see everyone. Sorry for the unfortunate incident madmark. As mark said, if you need a hand with anything just give us a shout mate. Hope to see your car on the road soon. Sara, I’m so hung over that Do Luck kit. Need to start saving the pennys. Keith, post up the video bud. Was a nice run through the tunnel on the way back.
  9. I would have snapped it if it fitted my exige
  10. seller sounds like he's got no idea what he is talking about but looks decent http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Nissan-350Z-Fairl ... 1|240:1318
  11. I was actually having a go at an alpina
  12. Would be interesting to hear one with the nismo on, never heard one i dont think. There you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEcwkFbx ... re=related multiply that by 5 = K1 sounds good though
  13. more info the dyno will be done at dynotech (Erith) http://www.hayesdynotech.co.uk/index1.html its the same one that DAN mentioned in another thread (cant remember which thread). its a dyno dynamics 450DS 4WD & 2WD capable of 2400 BHP the installation and tuning will be done by specialist from ARTech Tuning http://www.artech-tuning.co.uk/shop/index.php/ the tuner will do it at dynotech, he tunes DMS cars If more info is required as the discussion unfolds I will chase it up and post it here on the thread reading previous threads I couldn't find a match for the price. If you guys think its not good enough then we might have to negotiate further but from what I see it seems like a very good price (correct me if I am wrong guys and girls).
  14. This is in the making. More details to be finalised if this generates enough interest. What we are getting Haltech ECU Installation Mapping (dyno time) For £1300 all in The catch: We have to get 20 cars to get that price. First of all, members feed back on the price and further info required would be appreciated. Second, we can start a list of genuinely interested members following further discussion.
  15. if you mean the one on the 26th of april then I'll take your place bud. much appreciated
  16. that cayenne can easily qualify for the ugliest car I have ever seen. the Zonda and the Audi R8 on the other hand look
  17. I changed my rare pads today having noticed the noise few days ago. As the noise started to appear (passenger side rear wheel) I had a look at the pads and the outer ones had lots of meat on them so I presumed the inner ones are completely worn. I have to say that from the beginning of this I didnt push the Zed hard and always used engine braking to off load the discs and pads to prevent what happened to you. my local garage quoted £20 (F1 autocentre/good bunch of lads)for fitting and I did get my hands dirty as well which was good. the inner pads were down to the metal as well on both sides. I also have to agree with alex that the dealer is trying to bully you to get the parts sourced by them. I had a similar experience with nissan basildon when my wipers stopped working and the car failed the MOT. they told me I cant drive the car, my response was f*** off and get the car off the ramp then I drove off straight away only to find it was a fuse issue which I sorted my self. take your car out of that garage and get the parts sourced by one of the traders off here and do it you self or get some one to do it for you.
  18. So basically, you can't unless you learn to teleport back in time 2 years You can never teleport back in time but you can wait till the recession is over and the pound gets back its normal value
  19. tbh I would rather have the service done by a motor sport garage specially if the price is competitive thats why DMS is on top of my list. never heard of team AFM but if you recommend them might be worth a shout. I have dealt with nissan basilson in the past for a minor electric issue and I wasn't impressed at all. why do northern boys get: cheaper car cheaper and more reliable dealer servicing and better looking girls (just joking here)
  20. I fully agree with. but few guys have apparently paid around £240. the folks up in manchester I think have mentioned that recently
