  1. Did the "pedal dance" mate, took me about 10 attempts right enough I did investigate the fuel costs, its just seems that im going through alot more than i should. 97 miles for £50 worth of momentum @ £136.9 per litre, whats that, around 12 mpg, and im not driving it hard at all, the roads are too greasy so the wheels jus spin. I have noticed a very slight knockin noise comin from the engine bay, i thought i could "feel" it at the accelerator on idle, or low revs. Stuck my head under the bonnet, and you can hear a very slight knock now and again, but there doesnt seem to be any rythm to it if you know what i mean, so i dont think its chain rubbing or anything. I thought about taking it over to infiniti to get there tech guys to have a look. It might well be nothing, dont think im losing power or anything. Maybe im just lookin into it too much, theres no warning lights or anything on. Just worried my new pride and joy is ill As i said, the knocking sound is likely to be because of the 95 fuel you have been using.Should stop when you flush it with a couple of tanks of 99 from tesco.
  2. Try the infinity centre glasgow or one of the nissan performance centres - i tihk the closest might be edinburgh from memory. Dont put regular in - it is too low an octane rating for the zed and can cause engine knocking. As for 100 miles - you should definately get more than that - even for town driving.
  3. Was browsing the failblog website at the weekend and came across this: Rather bizarre - an english teacher in a suit rapping against some real UK 'gangsters!' I truly have seen it all now.
  4. I think that might be an idea one day soon mate as I am baffled by it. I am going to order a monitor to record how much the house is using.
  5. No she doesn't but my parents do! Something is seriously wrong.
  6. Hi there - been looking at the bills to try and work out what is going. The usage in each house surprised me! My parents house Electricity usage - 7275 Gas - 14138 Her folks house Electricity usage - 9589 Gas - 27 355 It's the electricity that is the one we are puzzled over. I cannot possibly see how they use more electricity at theirs. They are very frugal with electricity because they have been paying such high prices. They are on the Fixed Rate January 2014 and my folks house are using a standard rate. Thanks for the comments guys - I think a smart meter could be an idea!
  7. They are the same suppliers mate - that's what confuses me! I said that his son might have an illegal cannabis den in his loft - it's the only feasible reason I could think of.
  8. Looks the business - hope to see it at some meets this year!

  10. Mate, you have seen my parent's house. Look at our open kitchen and dining room - think how often they have those 12 spots on. Ashley's house doesn't have any spots whatsoever. Scottish Hydro - Fixed tariff (I will find this out for you) to August 2013
  11. This site has proved of great help in the past as I know there are people from all different careers and backgrounds, so I hoping someone can offer me some useful advice on this issue. At my parent's house which is a large 4 bedroom detached property, their electricity bills work out at approximately £60 per month and they ended up in credit at the years end. My mother never gives the washing machine or tumble drier a break and my dad falls asleep with the TV on more often than not. They are guilty for leaving things on standby most days. All in all, what i am trying to say is they use electricity fairly liberally but their bills are pretty reasonable. My girlfriends parents payments have gone to £117 per month as their previous payments of a little over £100 were not covering their usage. The house is a terraced house which is smaller in area than my parents. They are very strict with their usage - turning things off at the wall every day, full loads of washing, not falling asleep with the tv on but their bills still up more expensive. THis has been the case for years and her dad isn't sure how to go about finding out why his electricity bills are so high. They have the same number of occupants, gas central heating, gas one, gas hobs. Our oven is electric which again you would think puts our prices higher. What steps should we take to ascertain why the bills are working out over £50 more expensive. Any advice appreciated.

  23. they will for us Don't get started on this topic boys. Why is it that you believe the Scottish are sponging off the UK economy? I like our country being part of the UK but I firmly believe it could hold its own. Don't believe everything you read - if England would be so well off without Scotland, it would of cut its ties many years ago!
