  1. Yeah. The part came in yesterday (new drivers side door switch panel). It was the central locking button that was at fault. Fitted in 30 seconds. Reset my windows. Jobs a good one. Thanks for the replies.
  2. I unplugged the driver side window/lock button cluster and the problem went away. PM'd Alex to see if he has the part. Thanks for the help.
  3. Hi all, Bit of a weird problem in my 09 370Z. It started about a week ago when I heard the car continually trying to lock itself outside my bedroom window. No lights were flashing, but I could hear it was trying to lock itself as if the internal "lock button" rocker switch on the door was being pressed. The car unlocks with both fobs and keyless entry buttons (including boot keyless unlock) just fine, but it'll randomly try and lock itself again. Car starts and drives just fine (albeit continually locking itself driving down the road). No warning lights on dash, no "door ajar" warnings. I haven't scanned for codes. Has anybody seen this before? What sort of things should I check? Now that I write this, could it be the driver side door "lock" rocker switch at fault? It is something I use everytime I get into the car. Hmmmm. Any advice welcome, Alan.
  4. My stage 2 clutch and Solid flywheel combo arrived today. Thanks Ewen. I've bought a few things from Clark Motorsport over the years. Always a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely buy from them again.
  5. How did you manage the On/Off button? I know you can get programs that put it into a deep sleep when the charger is disconnected (engine off), and wake up when the charger comes on (engine on). But what about those times when the battery runs down and the device shuts down completely?
  6. Just had the hub done. Noise is gone. Case closed. I am once again, a happy Zed owner.
  7. I immediately though wheel bearings. Is it coming from one side of the car? Get in! i can also do a full MOT by kicking the tyre. Yeah, the maddening thing is that I thought it was coming from the drivers side. Even when sitting in the passenger side with teh mech driving. I was holding out for bearings myself as well. It's a simple fix. We'll see if this fixes the problem.
  8. The diagnosis is the front passenger side wheel bearing is shot. Diagnosis process: Went out for a test drive with the mech who at first couldn't hear the noise. I could hear it quite clearly, but I guess I was attuned to it. Anyway, we tipped into a roundabout and I told him to push it a little going in. This re-produced the noise at a level audible anough for the mech. He went back and checked the wheels again. Tyres were fine, but on full lock (to the right), he gave the passenger side wheel a shake and found the bearing was done. It was nice and tight in the straight ahead position (which is what I tested). So, the moral of the story is: When checking your bearings, try it while a mate holds the wheel at full lock as well. I'm getting the hub assy replaced next Friday. Hopefully this will solve the problem.
  9. Thanks lads. It's going to be Friday before I get the time to look at it. I'm driving my diesel workhorse to work just in case it is a tyre issue. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again for the suggestions.
  10. Really? How would this happen? I do indulge in the odd session of spirited driving. But nothing too serious. Damn, and they're expensive tyres (here anyway) as well. €165 a corner.
  11. Cheers mate. I'll post back here when I get to the bottom of it.
  12. Definitely has that quality to it. Or a buckled rim perhaps????
  13. Definitely not a belt problem. I replaced the Alternator belt a few months ago as well. Besides the rhythm quickens with road speed. If it was a belt, I would have expected it to match engine speed. Now that's a point. This I did not check! Cheers, I'll check that out.
  14. No. I'm running Hankook Ventus V12s. Defo not run flats.
  15. I want to say the drivers side .... but I think that's just because I'm sitting on that side. I can sort of feel the whump whum throught the steering wheel as well. Very faint though.
