  1. My bolts were a bitch to undo, but with the right size bit connected to a ratchet, it undone easily. Don't bother with an allen key!!
  2. Ok, for those who are playing around with their throttle bodies, i've just rung nissan and ordered a new gasket. Costing just over a fiver with the VAT, it'll be with me tomorrow morning. My old gasket looks ok but i think its worth changing for peace of mind.
  3. Didn't think of that. I haven't replaced the gasket yet, but i might give nissan a ring and order one.
  4. The first time i took mine off i did move the butterfly to clean it but when i refitted it, i had no problems at all. Everything worked fine Must off been lucky i guess, certainly didn't move it this time, thats a fact.
  5. Very talented guy, he's done a great job on that. It took me all week, 2 different companies and cost twice the price to get a decent job done. Will have to find a better polisher thats for sure.
  6. Thanks for that Adam, does that mean i will get less of an improvement fitting it to an older model like mine? Would i be better off just fitting my spacer instead?
  7. Did you read the other thread? that is a cracking price and i'm sure they can polish the bolt recesses for not a lot more. If only i can find a decent company with a quick turn over, and that sort of price. 4 hours to polish it though that seems a bit optimistic
  8. Got the pics up now, i noticed they didn't do inside the bolt recesses, but otherwise a nice job.
  9. Thats a brilliant price but i cant see the pics. How did they polish it so quick? The first company who did mine took all day and didn't do a thorough job, and the second company took 5 hrs to finish it!!!
  10. Could be looking at a fortnight if i get the old plenum back before next weekend. Prices are up to a 100 quid unfortunately due to under pricing by the polishers!!! A lot more labour intensive than they thought
  11. Here's the pics of the polished plenum
  12. Here's a pic of the first polished plenum. On its way to its new owner as we speak. I had problems with the first polishing company, they didn't do a thorough job of it and i took it to another company who finished it off. Left me slightly out of pocket but lessons were learned. May have to find another company to do the job as they told me it was more labour intensive than they imagined!! So the price will have to go up to at least a 100 quid! if not slightly more, unfortunately. Personally i would powder coat my plenum, quicker turnaround, easier to keep clean and less bl@@dy hassle. As i said before the other alternative is to shot blast the plenum, this makes it look brand new, and is the cheapest option at only 40 quid plus postage.
  13. I've managed to edit most of my posts, and got rid of that pesky Â's
  14. Here's some pics of mine and the mrev2 side by side. There is no difference between the two apart from the modification. All numbers and lettering are the same and all bolt holes are identical.
  15. Used to live near Corsham years ago. I'm sure along the line he's one of my mate's, mate's mate
  16. The hoses replace the top and bottom radiator hoses and the narrower long hose that runs along the front of the engine does something but cant remember at the moment. The Z emblem is chrome just like the standard nissan burger
  17. Thats a great price, who's that with?
  18. Still got some items left for sale. Check out whats left
  19. I know it states that the mrev 2 intakes are only for the rev up cars, but, when i took mine off, i noticed that my '04' intake is identical to the '06' intake, apart (obviously) from the modification. I'm tempted to fit the mrev 2 on mine to see if it works, but if anybody knows why i shouldn't then i wont attempt it.
  20. GT4ZED, may well be doing this soon!! Here's a link http://www.envisionelite.com/Intake_Sys ... REV_2.html and i have 1 of these for sale myself.
  21. It will fit your engine, and you should get a noticable gain. Another member on here will soon be doing this mod, so he'll be able to advise as to how good it is.
  22. I was busy moving house saturday for my girlfriend. Did try to log on in the morning and it showed i had 2 PM's but couldn't get in Up to date with everything now though thank heavens
  23. I don't know but i edited mine out
  24. Wasn't me Trev, i was working in Bath at that time. I have seen a few sunsets around Cardiff but don't think any of them are users of these forums.
